You can, it's dirt cheap and really nice. Lot of content too.
The game will have you drowning in content. I'm 96 hrs into it and I'm still unlocking plenty of gear in the World Tour mode.
We live in a modern age in which it's entirely possible to like and even own two different game systems from two different manufacturers. I know, it really is a brave new world.
(I'm being snarky. I'll stop.)On a related note, my vita is supposed to be delivered this morning. I'm actually too sick to go to work, (not even faking so I can stay home and play video games,) but I'm worried that if I can't get ahold of my manager, I'll have to go in anyway.

I will suggest ps3, which has the ability to play online. The psp version doesn't.
I think the version on the PSN store is for PSP, not Vita, so I'd say PS3, so you still get it in HD. (please, God, someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

You are correct. Get the PS3 version for HD and 60fps.
I finally gave Virua Tennis a try.
I went through and had a quick arcade mode run, it really reminds me of the original Top Spin which I absolutely loved. It pretty amazing how good it looks, seems to be almost 1:1 with the PS3 version, so glad I bought it now.
I wish Sega would port more Dreamcast games they bought over after Jet Set Radio though, I'd love to play Sonic Adventure 1/2 and Nights on the go. Ah well, hopefully they'll give something a Vita version whenever they come out with their next batch of Dreamcast HD remakes.

The Vita really is like a Dreamcast successor for me, especially with support from Sega with stuff like Virtua Tennis, Jet Set Radio and Phantasy Star Online.

It looks amazing - so what if it shows boobies, butts and muscles? I also noticed something really cool that IGN pointed out, the character select screen is actually this:
It's an amazing fighting game, I platinum'ed the original on PS3. Someday I'll platinum the second game but it'll probably crush my soul like the original did.

I think the correct answer is to get both, since you can use the transfarring and then play your save on your console or your Vita.

Damn, I just bought it two weaks ago after waiting months after the release. Also I am kinda disappointed in the game. That final boss is just annoying.
Managed to grab Virtua Tennis 4 Vita in a bargain bin for $15
Looking forward to giving it a try after I stop playing Soul Sacrfice (which could take awhile at the rate I'm going)
I bought it really cheap too and it's a great game in my opinion. I've played VT on smartphones and this version is a thousand times better.
I bought the smartphone version for $0.99 after playing the Vita version. I expected a VT4 Lite, what i got was a VT4 Anorexic. Absolute waste of money.

IF you are calling someone a baby for not liking an artstyle you need to grow up.
I personally find the art super off putting, not because it shows t/a, but because the way it's comically oversized is just aesthetically gross in my eyes. If that is your fetish or whatever good for you, but theres plenty of reasons to dislike the art style that do or don't include the back crippling breasts.

The Vita version of MGS HD Collection literally doesn't have Peace Walker. The only way you can play it on the Vita is the original PSP version.

If it makes you feel better I loved the game, its a mainstay on my Vita. I did enjoy it more on Vita than I console by a fair bit, but I also tend to like lots of things that many on GAF hate so there is that aswell.

That's part of the reason I still can't take mobile gaming seriously. A bunch of games based on other platforms feel like lite/smaller versions of their other handheld/console/PC versions, and if they do the full game it tends to not work well with touch controls.

I was a little put off by it taking so long to go on the PAL store and eventually forgot about it, but with it at half-price I'll probably get it.

You can get it for like $20 or something pretty cheap new these days. I can't believe you don't have it still after all this time!
I can't wait to play it all over again, double dipping on day one.

Great game. Lots of single player content if your into playing fighters offline.
Artwork and colors look great on the Vita screen too.
