JoyRide is pretty good value for 400pts, I'd get that in a heartbeat. Getting XXL too for sure.
When can we vote for Banjo Kazooie HD to go on sale? I've never seen that as a deal of the week outside Nuts and Bolts.

I'm pretty sure I'll end up getting it, simply cause I get drunk once or twice a month and end up buying stuff on Xbox Video but this is a terrible way to continue the great program they started last month.

You have to be connected to live to play the game. Initially it took a few tries to get connected to the CC2 server but that could just be a release day issue.
Similar F2P structure to most of the Windows 8 games.
Start out with 5 free rewinds, not sure how many stars (earned by playing the game) and 5 free coins. It costs either a bunch of stars to unlock the next level (15 to start off with) or a small amount of coins. Unless you are actually good at games you'll eventually have to replay levels to get enough stars to advance unless you buy more coins.
I received another free coin after the second level, not sure how often they'll drop.

20 for 160msp (plus 1 bonus coin)
50 for 400msp (plus 5 bonus coins)

So what do you think, does the achievement "Jinx an opponent while you're wearing a CC2 FameStar costume" require you to buy shit with MSP?
According to TA's news archive - the only way I know how to easily see old sales - it's never been on sale. I wouldn't mind it either, since I somehow ended up with Tooie and don't want to play it before Kazooie.

I only had a quick look at the Famestar stuff but it looked like you just had to do a set number of different things (collecting stars etc) to unlock the avatat bits. After probably the eighth level I received a free power up, didn't notice which one it was. It should be eventually achievable unless the famestar stuff has a spend x number of coins option.

Pirates Costume - Awarded by reaching Headliner status and playing Doritos Crash Course 2.
Star Costume - Awarded by reaching Star status in any Famestar game.
Megastar Costume - Awarded by reaching Megastar status in any Famestar game.
Yep, the achievement can be won without spending msp.

so... i dunno about this CC2 game. seems ok, a bit more of the same form the first one, just spruced up a bit. could be a few hours of amusement.
confused about how powerups are supposed to work in multiplayer when you have to actually purchase them. didnt seem to earn any stars in multiplayer, so not sure how you can earn stars to buy powerups.

Avatar FameStar is intergrated into some XBLA avatar games, you get Reward points for doing specific tasks across games. Your reward points then unlock avatar costumes for these games.
So for the achievement, you will have to unlock the Crash Course 2 famestar costume, wear it in game and jinx someone in a match.
Also I'm sure Banjo Kazooie was a 12 days of Xmas offer, possibly 2 years ago now. I own it and would have only bought it if it was on offer, since I played it on N64, think it was 600msp.
They might want to pay out the old punchcard before I even consider giving a damn about the new one.

There is one good game and one completely dumbfounded developed game in that list, choose wisely.
Never, ever would I do this - ever.
As for FameStar costumes, in all the other FameStar games I own, you unlock costumes in game from completing challenges. I would think this game would be the same.
Don't worry. We'll still talk about your Crash Course post, too. Or, maybe, we should talk about what you posted here?

They turned it into a F2P Micro transaction MP game. They probably saw how successful Happy Wars was with its business model and huge user install base so they want ride on its coat tails. I'm about to try it out myself to see what's new.
EDIT: And it looks like the game is broken that it keeps having connection problems. Not to mention it says something about a money printer being broken on the bottom of the title screen. I definitely see problems if they don't address this problem ASAP.

there is single player too (the MP does seem like it might boil down to pay2win though...), but if the servers are down, SP doesnt work either.

lovin' crash course 2, that title screen is totally badass. love the way those letters bounce. and do you know that the game features AVATAR FAMESTAR?!?! wow, just wow. also that mysterious antarctic glacier chicken mountain thing. i haven't figured out the code to get past the title screen though. i tried tapping to the beat of the music, but that didn't work. it's gonna be pretty hard to snag a full completion off the game if i can't figure this part out.
