Wouldn't recommend ordering a console from GAME online, ordered the 3DS XL White with Mario Kart 7 when they were selling it for £159, got here today and they sent me a used one but resealed it to try and make it look new, didn't realise it was used until I went to link my Club Nintendo account to it and it showed up the previous owners email and asked me to unlink it. Credit to the previous owner though, the 3DS itself is pretty much immaculate.
Did they buy anything on the eShop though? (check the purchase history) Or use the Club Nintendo slip for that matter.

If they didn't get anything but free apps, wipe the account so you get the surveys for some of the free titles.

Slip was nowhere to be found, only things on the account are Mario Kart 7 and a bunch of demos.

Ack of course Mario Kart 7...that makes deleting the account a non-option.

But if the (I think its 1000) stars you're missing out on bother you then consider a return, otherwise keep (as you said the condition was perfect).

Still kind of shocking form GAME and makes me wonder how many of the "new" games where its a battered box are actually the open shelf copy and not also pre-owned but in good enough condition to get away with calling new.

Deadly Premonition is now £19.85 on Shoppe To.

I had seen it seconds after I made an Amazon order for £26.95 (as I had vouchers), nearly bust a gut getting back to cancel it!

Also, buying it popped up an offer to add a £25 PSN card for around £22 (can't remember exact amount). ST killing it at the minute!

That's completely unacceptable. I actually also bought the MK7 XL from GAME for £160 and mine was brand new. Definitely do something about it!

It's happened to me before as well, quite recently too. Received a used copy of Rune Factory and Tales of Graces SE which was clearly in a store display box. Sending a used console is pretty messed up though. I think you would miss out on a lot of points as well, so I'd personally return it. Besides, you can currently get an XL that is actually new for less than £130.

Ni no Kuni £19.99 on PSN. That's cheaper than eBay. Offer's on until 22nd May.

Sorry if old.

That is a good price, if you don't mind digital. As it is still £30+ everywhere. I've still to get round to playing it, my Wizards Edition is still sealed.

Just picked up Killzone 3 via Flubit for £6.81 based on a price of £7.98 from Blockbuster (where it is unavailable for delivery and out of stock everywhere near me).

Flubit is a very clever idea. I think it's going to be a big success story for Silicon Roundabout.

Good idea using Blockbuster. Just threw Max Payne 3 in there (7.98) and Yakuza 3 (1.99). Already own Yakuza 3 but, could be a cheap gift to someone if it goes through.

Compared to Xenoblade / Tales Of Graces, how good is this? Just going through Tales Of Graces and I fucking love it. Very funny, great characters, nice story, many towns, many sidequests. Happy that I preordered Tales Of Xillia. Trophy-wise I heard that Star Ocean is very grindy.

it's one of the worst JRPGs ever made, avoid unless you've exhausted practically every other option

But most of the companies fueling it don't pay any tax in the UK anyway.. kinda canibalistic.

Its unbearable.
I love The Star ocean series.
I played this for 30 hours on 360 grinding away for the cheevos. putting up with KAY girl okay then i met her. Sarah. DIE IN FIRE.

Literally the worst RPG ive ever experienced. Shame really as the battle system is quite fun.

Thanks. 10pounds saved.

Oh my gosh. That's Final Fantasy XIII levels. If not even worse.

Strangely the voice acting of Tales Of Graces is really well done. And many of the skits are really really funny. I expected it to be horrible. I'm really sad that it didn't sell that well. Ordered the Japanese OST some days ago. Sooo good.

people that have ordered via flubit, do you get send notifications from the relevant companies when they've mailed you your stuff, or did your items just turn up out of the blue one day?

story is... meh...
voice acting is... puke...
battle system is.. boss!
so really depends on you.. for 10 eur you could do worse..
heck 10 eur spent on gaming are 10 eur LESS spent on drinking.. and god only knows if my trainer will be happy! he always tell me to have my way with games rather then with a drink.. much healthier(considering i usually go for kamikaze, invisible and other "punch-packing" drinks ) :X

Uh oh.... I ordered the white 3DS XL from GAME on Monday. I checked the tracking on the delivery at it's still at the DPD depot. :( I'll be annoyed if it's already been opened and used and I'll be returning it as well if has been previously opened.

By got do you mean purchased or received the items? The gears 3 limited edition should be interesting to see if you get limited or standard.

Now I'm tempted to try some OOS items...and probably get rejected for being OOS...

Just as a follow up to this, I have received one of my games today. I got Catherine in the post new and sealed. For £4.20, I'm pretty pleased.

A free game for Xbox

jimi_dini, get Resonance of Fate if you want a quality JRPG (assuming you haven't already played it)

Will look into it. Thanks.

Yeah, you can often get used/display copies from GAME. It's luck of the draw. My Rune Factory copy was new and sealed, in the past I've had display copies though. Got a display copy when I got Inazuma Eleven 2 Blizzard for cheap from them. I've actually sent games back in the past because of it, I got a copy of Mirrors Edge which had a very damaged case. Sad that they're doing it with consoles as well, I got my Fire Emblem 3DS XL from them, but it was on release so it was definitely new. If it had have been used I'd have sent it back though. False advertising.

I got a preowned PS3 and it was pretty much okay, bar that I needed to open up and clean the dualshock controller because the previous owner got gross gunk all over and inside the controller, it's been fine since though and I ordered it knowing it was preowned anyway.

But that's not cool if you brought it expecting new, I would get in touch as while it's not quite so bad with PS3 or Xbox, but Nintendo consoles are a bit nightmareish when it comes to account issues and it's lame losing out on a game because the last owner redeemed the download.

In what way was it resealed out of interest? Only asking as with the consoles it's not like the games where they are clearly wrapped up in plastic still or not. We quite often get handhelds traded in with the box still perfect and all the gubbins that come with it see so I'm just trying to work out if it was a mistake or GAME trying to be sneaky.

Cheapest digital price for Football Manager 2013?

Held off until now this year but I feel like managing some balls.

You would be cheaper going the physical route currently. Unless you can hold off until it appears again in the Steam or Amazon sales. best price I can see is from Game Collection, or cheaper with Flubit.

Does anyone know how GameSeek have so many old games still in stock?

The site kind of reminds me of that collection of sites that was around in the late 90s and early 2000s where they had a ton of domains for individual consoles. Stuff like UKDreamcast.com etc.

Because they don't shy away from selling used copies as new ones?

I never ordered anything from them before. I just assumed it was all new as they have some separate pre-owned listings.

I don't trust them. Ordered (a "new copy" of) Digital Devil Saga 2 CE from them when it was no longer available on store shelves a few years ago, and the copy I received wasn't new at all (it wasn't sealed, the jewel case had scratches all over it (which, admittedly could be caused by lying in bargain bins for a while), the disc was scratched and the manual wasn't in the best of shapes either (not badly damaged, but far from pristine). Anyway, I had seen used copies of other games in far better conditions. So I sent it back saying I got a used copy when I wanted a new one. They sent me another copy in pretty much the same condition. Maybe they just resend me the same copy, I dunno. Also they never refunded me for shipping it back.

I decided to leave it at that and avoid them. Maybe I was just unlucky. 99% of my orders with UK online sellers go just fine though, so I don't see why I should ever use them again.

Had two seals on the side with the tab, just judging from the box you'd assume it to be brand new, so it makes me wonder if the previous owner resealed it after using it for a couple of days and tried (successfully) to return it as unopened so they didn't lose money on it. It would kinda make sense since the eShop activity ends after two days (no purchases, other than the Mario Kart 7 that is prelinked to the console, just demos) and if it wasn't for the download history/previous owners club nintendo email still linked I would have never known it'd been previously used.

I'll phone their support tomorrow and see if I can get them to knock the price down to what they'd charge for a used one, if not I'll probably just give in and accept it since the only thing I'd gain from paying to return this one and getting sent a new one is the Club Nintendo registration, and as long as I don't need the 3DS itself for the buy 3 get 1 free promotion they're doing I don't mind.

I've only made one purchase through them so far and it arrived out of the blue. The order page still says processing at flubit but it was sent from grainger games. The delivery estimate was accurate though.

Well here it is, I tried Flubit with 3 games that were £5 at Game but out of stock.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Vita - Rejected

Gears of War 3 Collectors Edition - Rejected

Rune Factory Oceans - £4.24 (£15.99 in the PSN sale)

I guess it's pot luck, Colin had offers for the 2 I had rejected, so it's worth a try.

They lie about whether they have something in stock as well.

Ordered Final Fantasy 2 for PSP which was said to be in stock, had to wait a month for it to ship, and when I finally got it, it was used and a US copy. bearing in mind the US cover is absolutely awful looking.

If you have healthy sense of humour, you'll do fine by playing SO4. I was laughing most of the time during cutscenes and talks between characters, for wrong reasons but who cares!
The planets are nice, it has crafting, combat is great, it plays nicely too (except last dungeon, that is nightmare, one have to be prepared for that).
I wouldn't advise trying to get trophies though, you'll probable will hate a game if you try.
And have I mentioned how great Tri-Ace is with battle systems? Combat is great, ya.

I'm all over this post. SO4 was a fantastic game and I loved the combat. I never got bored of it at all. The bonus dungeon is a bitch though. Took me about 5 hours to get through and you can't save it.

Completely agree with the trophies though. There was no way I was getting all of those as they were just insane

Fuuuuuu- my copy shipped :/

Oh well, japanese audio it is.

When I first heard Lymle's English voice I switched to Japanese audio... and then I heard Sarah's Japanese voice and decided there was nothing anybody could do to make me keep playing.
