I wouldn't be suprised if Epic will release a F2P multi platform title next. Their recent comments about F2P and them practically being bought by this Chinese company in combination with the recent departures at Epic seem to hint at this maybe.

I don't particularly care what happens as already know I'll own a Durango as soon as there is a halo... and there's no way I could live without Sony's exclusives...
But lets face it, the PS4 is looking awesome, so if the next xbox is somehow 'better' at either a technical or experiential level or both, then it will be fucking brilliant.

Given the stance of many that Xbox is only a "CoD-Kinect-App" box I think it's safe to say that that guy meant ONLY CoD Kinect and Apps.
Please say you have proof of that?
Why would the next console be ONLY 3rd party games, kinect support, and apps when the Xbox 360 is currently doing a good enough job when it comes to those three categories?
Why make a new console?
Too many people are using a console's last years to try and state how that console's successor will be from the get-go and that's silly -- Two different target audiences.
MS is going to heavily target the people who bought a 360 back in 2005-2007 since those are the type of people who buy consoles early.

I really don't get why Xbox 360 has that reputation though, especially when XBLA is brimming with so many great and varied experiences.
I suppose CoD Kinect Box is the new Halo Box.
TBH i never thought of MS having "Ninjas" anyway. More like big guys in black suits with ear pieces and sunglasses.

They don't need a 'fuck ton of exclusives'. They just need a few strong exclusives that actually matter.
Also, I would imagine "hardcore gamers" are probably more in to niche downloadable titles than your average retail blockbuster.

Pachter summed it up nicely on GT this week. Microsoft will once again target exclusives early and earn a lot of extra console purchases for having done so. Those early wins equate to hundreds of millions of dollars spent in software/licenses etc over the lifespan of the console. Microsoft aren't dumb. Saving big games for the waning months of your console is just dumb, especially if you're not offering backwards compatibility.
MS lawyers aren't that well-dressed.

Of course, PS4 and Wii U are their rivals. People at Microsoft (including developers) are making their efforts, and making choices, what they think will be better for their platform.
Is this better than PS4?, we don't know yet.
A ton? I don't know, but they have new IPs of course.
I wasn't exactly wowed by the line up showed at Sony's PS4 reveal to be honest.Knack looked ok, Infamous is a decent series but i'd take a new properly made Crackdown over it any day of the week, and Killzone well..... ( i don't want to get any over sensitive people mad again so i won't say much about that) Maybe if they were showing off a new Naughty Dog IP or something you'd have a point. Maybe at E3 Sony will pull out the big guns and wow me, but i have a feeling MS will be pulling guns of their own at E3. All i know is that MS went all out with games in the first years of both xbox consoles, i don't see this being any different.
Well I'm not the biggest Microsoft or Xbox fan at all but I do love games so I'm waiting for the 21st what they can do
But if I had to put money on it
1- Cod ghosts will be the last or second last game they show
2- they Gonna go on how the 720 is windows 8 native so is able to run all the same apps
3- we will see EA there with a " our old exclusives will still find a home with Xbox with exclusive DLC from X game and X game"
4- a halo
5- kinect (a lot of it and how good it is) bla bla
6- they will start the show by showing off the system or right at the end try to pull a sucker punch and say we done hahah wait here's the system

Why would a 'hardcore' gamer not be interested in both?
I tend to find it's only really on game forums that it does. If I've learned one thing over the last two years especially on here is XBLA strangely 'never counts' in these kind of discussions.
Despite like you said being full of interesting games. Heck the indie stuff has been really good as well was going through those games the other day and brought a few interesting ones that I demoed.

The implication of the original comment towards Greenberg is that COD, Kinect and useless apps is all that Microsoft will have to offer at their event. Greenberg isn't saying that COD won't be there. He's saying that they will have much more to show than that person believes.
Shhhhhhh......Xbox has no games. I'm pretty sure I imagined that I was playing some amazing and fun co-op action last night in this game called Battleblock Theater. I'm sure i was dreaming.
