Wouldn't recommend ordering a console from GAME online, ordered the 3DS XL White with Mario Kart 7 when they were selling it for £159, got here today and they sent me a used one but resealed it to try and make it look new, didn't realise it was used until I went to link my Club Nintendo account to it and it showed up the previous owners email and asked me to unlink it. Credit to the previous owner though, the 3DS itself is pretty much immaculate.

This makes me sick! It's shocking how they can even get away with this kind of shit.

So I decided to try Flingsmash via flubit to match OOS GAME. The offer came in for a game only copy (respect to flubit the offer does say "Fling Smash - Solus Game Only") form a retailer that charges £2.99 shipping. Fair enough the GAME picture shows only the game, I admit I was trying to get a remote bundled copy (its only sold like this so whoever is selling the solus copy...I wouldn't buy remotes from them expecting them boxed...)

Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy Wii U and 3DS pre paid cards?
GAME when they have a working £x off £10x code. It works out at 10% off plus the money spent may eventually become 2.5% (if you have a reward card). An example would be £3 off £30 so you get £30 of credit for £27 then £0.67 in reward points.

If you want a wiimote plus try searching for WiiPlay Motion game bundle.

note: They're red wiimotes.

Just out of curiosity, what is a shop supposed to do if a customer brings back a 3DS for a refund within a few days of buying it? Do they send it back to Nintendo or do they have to sell it as used?

I'm not defending GAME here, they shouldn't have sold a console that was plainly in used condition as new.

The only reason a store would ever refund a brand new system that has been opened is if it's faulty. And then they obviously wouldn't resell it.

Really? What about the distance selling rules on stuff sold online, doesn't that give customers entitlement to return any item within 7 days if they're not satisified for any reason?

(Or have I invented that in my own mind?)

I agree! This is ten times worse than Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam and both World Wars combined.

In fact, I feel so sick I am about to vomit. Excuse me.

Cool, we have a Game store manager in the thread. Would it be possible to make use of your work discount? I might be able to beat Flubit with it.

In this case, it would affect your statutory rights as receiving a used item when you ordered it new is false advertising as well as selling an item not as described.

Gamersgate currently has
Skyrim for £7.49
Dishonored for £7.49

Apparently there is a 5% off coupon as well elder-geek.com (haven't tried this one).

Tempting price for Dishonored. But I'm going to wait until the Steam Summer sales and use up some of my Steam Wallet. Got loads of that thanks to Game's trade in offer.

It has to be not fit for purpose (so, either faulty or not as advertised), or unused. You can't just open it and decide you don't want it 7 days later, there'd be chaos!

In Germany you can for 14 days. Though the retailer can, if the item has been used extensively, charge you money. Which nobody does.

Rage is on sale too, you can get the Scorchers DLC for 2€ (but they ran out of keys).

Perfect, I missed that.

Kind of love Gamersgate. I got over 20k blue points from my Bioshock Infinite and I got Skyrim/Dishonored/Rage DLC for that (and I still have points left and got new points for buying the games :D).

It's the case in the UK too that you can use most things and still return them (but within seven days). Software, CDs and DVDs are actually some of the few exceptions where the item has to be unused for it to be eligible for a refund. For pretty much anything else you're entitled to return it for any reason, used or not.

Pokemon typing arrived. I got mine from amazon as a gift from the flubit CEO...(so can't see if they did indeed pay what I paid them)

Seems odd as somebody else here ended up getting theirs sent from GAME (and the receipt in there showed £38)

Obviously they pay less than you did. It is weird that they source the items from different sellers but maybe you guys put in your requests at different times or it's likely they negotiate for a bulk of different items with each retailer rather than specific stuff like 10 Pokemon typings.

An update on my Flubit problems. This is what had happened so far...
Flubit. Won't be using them again. :(
I send them a link for a Mahjong game on 3DS. They create the offer & game sent.
Wrong game arrives, I contact them advising them of the error & what should I do now.
Return email says they sent me the game I asked for quoting the links they used.
I email them again saying yes, those are the correct links, but the wrong game was sent to me. It's not my error!
Return email says they used the right links, so sorry. They completely ignore the fact that the wrong game was sent.
They close my request. End of . :/

On Monday I emailed them stating it was clearly not my fault. I then tried to phone them on Tuesday but the person was unavailable & I was told I'd get a call back. Nothing. Instead they respond to my email telling me to return the game to Amazon & they'll refund me & reorder the game again.
Wednesday & the game gets sent back to Amazon & I'm assured that the correct game will arrive today.
Today (Thursday) a package arrives from Amazon (wahay) &...

IT'S THE SAME WRONG GAME that I've posted back to Amazon the day before! lol
I email Flubit again telling them what's happened & the reply I get is 'Are you sure it's the wrong game?'

To date, this has taken 15 emails to get this far. I don't know know whether to laugh or, well, laugh.

Hope it's ok to post this continuing Flubit saga just to show everyone what 'can' happen.

I see, thanks. I've never done it so I wasn't sure.

Btw I think I recognise your username from the My Owl Software blog. A fellow Apple Jack fan?

^ It's definitely OK. I have an order with Flubit, as I think others probably do, so it's relevant.

Lol at "Are you sure it's the wrong game?" Like you'd go through all this trouble without being sure it's wrong. At least they attempted to sort it I guess. They clearly need better communication with either the retailers they're using, or the person who is ordering the items.

For the XL cradle + charger, if you can check your Argos I think they have it for £10.99 cause it's become a clearance item instores at least my ones.
Will go tomorrow and have a look. My mate was saying Game had a deal on in store. 3ds XL + 1 game + Starter pack. £149.99.

Be sure you're checking on their computer's clearance item section, it's where I found them, I don't believe they've got it on their catalogues anymore.

Will do, thanks :)

I believe that game is CRUSH 3D, and starter packs are usually useless heaps of crap

So...

Nintendo Handheld Console 3DS XL - £129.99 @ Amazon
CRUSH3D (3DS) - £4.99 @ Game

= £134.98

...I am not sure if the starter pack has £15 of content in it.
Hmm, guess I'll most likely go with Amazon. Will have a look around at some deals in store tommorow.

This must be the Starter Pack...

Looks Plasticky As All Hell!!

However, that same pack is on Amazon (under a different brand name) for £9.99...

so...

You save a £5.03 if you don't buy everything at GAME!

This plus above links = £144.97

Sweden GAF: Elgiganten will be selling Nintendo 3DS XL for 1300 SEK. Not a bad deal. I'm not in a hurry to upgrade even if the offer is very tempting.

Bought Ar Tonelico Qoga and Atelier Meruru from The Hut. So obviously I got Bleach: Soul Resurrección in the mail. Of course. Filled out a customer service form. This should be interesting.

Belgium Gaf: I do believe I saw Vita for 189 or something close like that this week in Makro stores.

PS Vita WIFI only, preowned for £124.99. Anyone have experience with their preowned handhelds? If it isn't in good shape, what are exchange options? Bought a used PS3, which was fine, but I'm more concerned about screen... Or any better deals floating around? Would buy a memory card elsewhere.
