Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | May 2013 | Lovecraftian Wasteland

So it's a lie when they say they have stuff planned but true when they don't mention vita?

It's a conspiracy!

Top of the page recommendations:

- PlayStation Plus
- Gravity Rush
- Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour
- Velocity Ultra (when that releases)
- Hotline Miami (when that releases)
- Sonic Racing Transformed
- Thomas Was Alone
- Dragon Fantasy Book I (when that gets a patch on Vita)
- Dragon's Crown (early, I know but you get an artbook)

Sega has 5 vita SKUs for this fiscal year.

It has to be true then, since this is a report for stock holders. I just find it unbelievable that Their FY2014 support between the 3DS and Vita is similar. There is supposed to be 5 SKUs for vita and 6 SKUs for 3DS.

I suppose this means at least 2 new games for the Vita from segathat are unannounced, if we use the convention that a release in 3 regions counts as 3 SKUs

Sonic platformer
Nights port
Sega Ultimate collection or skies of arcadia
According to the reliable leaker dude, Sonic's coming to every platform under the sun except Vita.

Skies of Arcadia would make me happy. But it's not Sonic Adventure or Crazy Taxi or Space Channel 5 or Jet Set Radio, so it doesn't exist as far as Sega knows. What a neglected library so ripe for justified milking the poor Dreamcast has.

"P" game can't be Plants vs. Zombies 2 or PSO2. He said it'd be a game that would make some people say WTF, and since the first PvZ is on Vita, it'd surprise no one for the sequel to make an appearance too.

And only the most pessimistic think that PSO2 isn't getting localized, so that wouldn't be a shock to anyone either.

I'm going with Papa & Yo or some ultimate PixelJunk collection or a Penny Arcade game.

I got a 30 day trial of PS+ when I bought Soul Sacrifice a few days ago in Australia.

Will these work for overseas users? If so, if anyone wants it just PM me.

I've never been able to get into Monster Hunter, maybe I just haven't given it enough time for it to click, but it feels way too slow for my liking. Things like Phantasy Star Online 2 and Soul Sacrifice have paced faster gameplay though and I love them.

"I’m sure you will enjoy the show, nobody has forgotten about Vita, trust me".

Then he said: "Oh and there is an AMAZING big title coming to Vita. I can’t tell you anything about it, except that you are gonna be hooked for hours".
I hope that with "nobody" he does not intend sony alone but even some big third parties.
As for the amazing title... we'll see.
Obviously i hope for the best :)

Shahid said the big title isn't an indie game... is Minecraft so huge it's not even an indie game anymore? haha

I'd say it's most likely a big Sony franchise if it's not Minecraft, then. The 'P' game is very likely an indie, though.

Well i would like puppeteer too, but i hope that they hype a big vita exclusive, not a port.

Would be nice, but considering it's Sahid, I imagine it'll be something in the indie range. People on reddit seems to think it's minecraft since the Exclusive agreement is ending soon. Doubt that though as it would be hyped for PSN and not just Vita though.

I think Shahid teased he signed a game that begins with 'P', so I imagine it's an indie and not a Sony first-party title.

It's a crime Puppeteer isn't on Vita, though.

I forgot that was shahid the source, so it's an indie game for sure.

Why is it on the Vita, if you go to update the firmware, it's almost instant. Like it checks it right away and then boom, it's downloading after you accept the agreement.

But downloading a game and it's "Preparing to Download" for 30 seconds. I mean, heck, for some of these PS Mobile games, the preparation to download is longer than the actual download.

The store on the PSP isn't like that.

The firmware download starts in the background even before you accept the licensing agreement.

Game downloads have a DRM check to go through, and it also seems to allocate disk space on the memory card.

Prison Architect for Vita would be pretty cool. Just saying.

Would love this! But man is the Alpha's buggy as hell right now!

No idea why it's not tbh. Nothing has been shown to make me believe it's not possible. Oh well hopefully it's something awesome

I asked him sometime ago if he had a look at the game 'Papers, Please'. Tweeted saying he has had initial discussions with the creator.

So err .. maybe?

Oh snap, what if we never got a Borderlands 2 port because what we're really getting is an original Borderlands and that's the big game?

...It's probably Gran Turismo, though.

So, congratulations, C-Wars Kickstarter is coming to the Vita. One problem for backers though:

This $60 tier will be the ONLY one that has a possible PSV key, and please note that you can't have duplicated keys in this tier, unless you pledge $15 more for the extra copy of PSV/3DS/WiiU or $10 for PC and Android.

Oh well. I'll buy it when it launches.

I have talked with Bloober Team (the one behind A-MEN for PS3 and PS VITA) and received info on:
- Medium
- Deathmatch Village
- Die! Die! Die! (a new VITA game from their subsidiary iFun4All)
- New Vita game
They're working on 3/4 Vita games? :O

Haha, $60? I'll just wait until it's on PSN for $15 or less...

Let's see what they have :)
