I guess that's the best indication we have they'll show Forza at E3? Probably a preview of FM5 releasing next year just to show gamers they have a lot of first party coming.

Games... Hm... I was told that there will be a Tomb Raider Durango version (with TressFX) for launch - not sure though if exclusive and not very surprising. :lol

I will be getting this if its true. There are quite a few newly released and upcoming games that I would like to play on the new system, even if they are just souped up/enhanced versions of the game. E.g. I would like to play TR, Bioshock: Infinite, and hopefully Castlevania: LoS2 will have a next gen version. I would like to be done with this gen...actually its more like I will lose interest in this gen once the next gen systems are out.

@Turn10 is not even an official account, but it is definitely weird that EA are on there.

I'm scared.

Why are you scared?

If they added some massive DLC to Tomb Raider I'd be game. Literally the one game I enjoyed so much that I felt DLC would be incredibly perfect for had absolutely zero. They could have created all kinds of new adventures on that same island. They would have made a killing.

If MS is blocking used games then I have no doubt that he next gen versions of FIFA and Madden 14 are locked down.

Only reason EA would partner in any meaningful way with Microsoft is if they're getting something in return. Blocking used games would be big, but EA could do that without MS by simply releasing their games digitally only.

Why wouldn't one of the biggest publishers in the industry show something at the MS E3 conference? Just because they're there doesn't mean there is something huge industry changing deal between the two companies.

They make millions from selling them franchises on Playstation aswell as Xbox, why waste that?

The used game rumour is just that, a rumour. The only EA exclusive I can see is Mass Effecf, which does better on Xbox than Playstation but could be just DLC or something

Speaking of sports, I wonder how the new EA games will turn out on the next-gen consoles? I'm guessing just better framerates and maybe slightly better visuals? I really hope they don't fucking gut major stuff in the name of "improving the graphics." That's such BS. One of the worst things transitioning from the Xbox to Xbox 360.

No. The license belongs to FIFA, not EA. EA are not in a position to make financial negotiations using the license with a third party.
Thought so. Thanks!

It's EA Sports. We will see tiny improvements from game to game just like this gen, but nothing major. Better crowds maybe? I dunno. If PES somehow manages to become relevant again, EA would be a bit more threatened to do something I guess.

I've got bad news for you... the EA conference call said they have a new next-gen sports engine so I bet they're starting from scratch again...

Self repairing RROD?!
They're escaping before the RROD hits.
Please no RROD in this thread;
There's nothing wrong with being critical about a company or product, but when it gets to the point where people make stupid pictures and everyone piles on like some sort of schoolyard high-five-fest, it gets really fucking annoying and shitty to go into any Xbox related thread because you can already see the awful posts being quickly typed up:

-RROD it's awful! Microsoft gonna' screw it up again! It'll burn down your house!
-Xbox Live Gold is robbery! Call me when they don't charge for multplayer!
-Microsoft has no games except Halo!
-Kinect is so dumb because I dislike it!

These are the horrible, awful posts you see strewn about any thread involving the Xbox (and usually Microsoft) stuff, even when they're not relevant to the topic at all. Instead of people commenting about how cool or stupid the name "Infinity" is in that thread, they're just making dumb pictures with dozens upon dozens of worthless "sick lol" "cold lol" posts that add nothing at all.

Not to mention that these points aren't always as completely black and white as people make them out to be. The 360 has had bad hardware problems but so has a lot of other consoles, and Microsoft has seemingly fixed most of their problems with the Slim. Xbox Live has way faster download speeds, cross-game chat, and stabler infrastructure stuff compared to PSN. Kinect is something that a lot of people have bought and enjoyed, even people who would consider themselves hardcore gamers. Once again, if people don't like this stuff than that's fine, but don't tell me people don't go out of their way to keep harping on it in every single Xbox-related thread because it's there.

People like you who are critical yet reasonable and fairly objective aren't the problem, it's the people (you know who, they post in this thread) that go out of their way to keep harping on the same (sometimes unrelated) shit to keep a negative aura about the thread when people are just trying to talk about what they want to see or expect about the event. Thankfully this thread has cooled down since most people get it out of their system earlier on, but it still happens.

Waiting for the next gen version of this trailer outta EA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02ajPL3Kna4

That's nice but just call me Izick.

Remember when last gen Madden had better presentation than next gen Madden? lol

Ugh. Can't wait to buy the first legit sports games in 2015.

Not to mention there's going to be no good baseball game on the Nextbox until who knows when. 2K and EA got the licenses for the sports games they were worst at making. MVP baseball and NFL 2K were so much better than the competition.

No, they have said publicly that they don't want to go through that again.

The upcoming next gen sports games aren't going to be bare bones... these consoles aren't being rushed out. This gen has went on for twice as long as the previous gen.

Activation keys. On both consoles.

Anyway, why the fuck isn't PGR or AW mentioned. Grrr.

They wouldn't want to give away any actual game names. The fact that Turn10 is up there is kind of disheartening for PGR though, unless they're working in tow with Lucid games on it or something.

I mean EA at Xbox reveal can be something like Activision/cod game, just BF4 trailer.

I know what you mean, and I agree with you.

I think the Respawn game will be exclusive, but I think we'll get the usual "we have a great relationship" stuff we always hear every console unveil, followed by a montage of EA games for the Nextbox.

Madden looks better than that video. The players are more detailed, proportioned better, and the overall look is more realistic in the game. It just took a few games to get there.

Oh I agree. At the time that video came out it was crazy to imagine even that. Just hoping that the next generation of madden games looks insane with actual detailed spectators and at the very least a detailed bench area

Now ask yourself why the sidelines in All Pro Football 2K8 felt more alive than Madden 2013.

That Xbox retrospective thread is great, isn't it? I wish I hadn't traded in my OG Xbox and games so that I could play some of the games I missed out on like Phantom Dust and Breakdown.

Just a lot of awesome, quirky games that came out on that machine. I'm one of the few people who actually bought Psychonauts when it came out, for example. Not that we didn't get a lot of fun, quirky stuff on the HD Twins, but with budgets going up we didn't see as many experimental games that also had modern graphics. We see a lot of indie stuff which is great, but they usually are constrained to more simplicity in art-styles, camera perspectives, raw number of polygons etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that; sometimes that makes them even better.

It's just a shame we don't see as many weird games that have great graphics like Phantom Dust did at the time. There is stuff like Deadly Premonition though. Wouldn't call those great graphics, but it's a weird, quirky game that you can tell it's a game made for modern consoles.

This. As much as I am dis satisfied with EA and madden this gen do not expect the next gen versions to be barebones and do not expect them to be bad just because they are starting over. The new consoles are the best thing that are happening to madden in a long time.

It's easier to say T10 was there than suddenly put Lucid up there so everyone knows PGR is coming, as well.

Plus PGR is more likely to show up on the 21st first, and then maybe have a shorter, redundant demo at E3 when it shares a lot more space with a lot more games.

If we don't get a PGR by the end of E3 imma be mad.
