Wow at FIFA 13 - and not in a good way.
I got it for "free" through Amazon and I still feel insulted that EA considered this worthy of taking up space on people's memory cards.
If it wasn't bad enough that it's exactly the same game as FIFA Football save for a few kit and transfer updates that could have been delivered for free, we then have the fact they're charging the poor sods who actually buy this thing 40 quid for the "privilege" (higher than most Vita games here).
Then you actually play it, and find out it doesn't even work properly. There's a trophy for remaining unbeaten for 5 games in a row online - which I should have unlocked today - my first five results were 3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 6-1 and 6-1 - guess what, no trophy. I've refreshed the trophy list, restarted the game and even tried playing another match (which I inevitably lost) to see if that would trigger it - nothing.
Reading online I see that the "issue" / broken game design is that if you're winning and your opponent quits, then though you may have won the match, it doesn't count towards this trophy. Every one of my five opponents eventually quit, so even before the loss in the sixth match, according to EA I was 0% of the way to this trophy. Fantastic. So not only do you have to not lose 5 games in a row, you have to hope your efforts at not losing don't cause someone to rage quit on you - effectively you're punished for being better at the game. Brilliant.
Not that anyone from EA is reading this (do they read anything? Unlikely) but if you're going to be that lazy and half-arsed about a game that all you do is a few database updates and have your trainee artist slap together a new logo in Photoshop, at least make sure the bloody thing works properly. Charging full price for this shite is ridiculous.
