That's harassment? None of his body touches her.. Yeah it looks uncomfortable but it's not like he rubbed her face in his crotch?

Yeah sure, it might've been wrong especiall if it was unrehearsed... But I was expecting her to get a mouthful or something.. /shrug

I'm really surprised a lot of people draw the line at something physical. It doesn't have to be physical to be intimidating or harassment. Also, at the gif in the OP, it doesn't show how he walked her into the corner first. Just that kind of sexually charged action and aggressiveness is just blegh.

I'd definitely expect getting hit with a harassment suit if I told a coworker to sit on my dick, whether or not I touched them.

Just think, 15 years ago she could have been hit over the head with a cane in ECW.

Is he a decent wrestler? Because he seems like a tool. Also, do wrestlers use Twitter and break kayfabe normally or are they always on? This could easily be a work. Though, that may he giving them too much creative credit.

And since when has tna had four sided rings?

He's one of their best in-ring guys and the he's over.

Then again he hasn't threatened to shoot people who teach the gay is ok, and he isn't Randy Orton.

On a douchebag scale it's probably about 4 by wrestling standards.

The real crime in TNA is how little the women are paid.

So in other words, you are just trying to convince other its bigger than it seems.
TNA is known for using anything for ratings and yet you still argue this. What about when they used PAC man on their roster after his shooting.

I hope people are fake upset because they don't like the guy or something.

Because sheesh what a non issue.

i'm pretty sure that, according to law, Balls-To-Face sexual harrasment implies the particulars of the assailant to be at least within spitting distance of the victim's face, which is about 2 inches. so it says on the law.

whatever issues there are can be solved with a brainbuster and/or a spear + jackhammer combination.

If he was in WWE he would be fined and made apologies but since its TNA this will lead to a 8 month long storyline and it will be revealed that it was Hulk Hogan telling him to put his nuts in her face all along.

He was neither intimidating or harassing her though. He was playing being a dick, which is his character.

Once again, it might have been in poor taste. He might apologise to her for doing something that made her uncomfortable.

But it was not harassment. He wasn't bulying her, he wasn't telling her to suck him, he wasn't doing anything that isn't normal in a wrestling ring either.

Hell, if this wasn't Hemme, but a male co-worker of Aries, we wouldn't even be having this thread.

What a bunch of marks.

Wasn't there just a thread about a week ago about a wrestler having a broken Achilles something or other and then them wrestle right afterwards?

I wouldn't put it past this company to play up this angle in order to drum up ratings since they're in the pits currently.

Maybe if they were in an office setting but this kind of thing goes with the territory. It's wraslin' after all. He could have easily went over the line and I feel that he didn't.

A girl is motorboating another girl on the previous page for crying out loud.

First of all if this made her uncomfortable in real life than it is sexual harassment.

Second We don't know how this was handled internally, only what TNA want's us to know.

Ideally after the spot she should have said hey that made me uncomfurtable, and he should have said oh jeez I didn't realize I am sorry it won't happen again, and her saying that's alright then.

Later TNA might decide to play this up as an angle.

A person shouldn't be fired for something like this if it is not a pattern or if it isn't itself illegal.

How's this, pretend it's unrehearsed:

Oh, missed this.

I think women wrestlers are used to this, comes with the game. They're gonna be touching eachother in that area and as long as it's not a pattern, continued and very obviously intentional, I doubt any of them will make a problem out of it. They're used to being physical with eachother after all, you can't wrestle and not end up touching eachothers chest area by accident every now and then.

Pretty sure this was staged, and if it weren't I'm actually quite surprised Christy was so irritated considering that Austin was basically acting within his character and given the medium Hemme is put through light cases of sexual harassment on a nightly basis.

So uh

You guys DO realize that something can totally be harassment when its unwanted and unasked for, and not harassment when it's part of a storyline being presented to the audience where both participants know what's up, right?

I mean, you know an actor's character "sexually harassing" an actress's character as part of the script is different from the actor sexually harassing the actress on set. Right?

"But she should be used to it!"

The reality is that most of the time, even statements that appear to be shoots are worked and that its part of kayfabe.

It's kind of difficult to explain to someone who has no familiarity with how professional wrestling works, but very, very little you'll hear from a contracted player is legitimate, even when it appears to be legitimate.

But when so much of the performance is ad-libbed, it blurs the lines somewhat.

I find it very hard to take any of this seriously given the source. It's "Professional Wrestling".

If it wasn't scripted, then sure, although I'd question his intent.

But I've certainly seen worse.

So what happens on a crowded bus when a standing guy ends up too close to a seated lady?
If she is offended in any way it's sexual harassment?
Intent means nothing?

Improvisation plays a huge part in wrestling.

This. I was kidding when I mentioned good separation between crotch and face, but the reality is they're playing characters. Always heightened and exaggerated, makes it a different line when in character he does something like this. Seems like it should be handled by blasting him the locker room not to do anything like that again.

Everything is scripted to the point you never know what the hell is going on for real.

SMH Wrestling industry.

If this 'outrage' isnt a work i would be very surprised!

The fact is Hemme messed up the entrances, a simple mistake but when thats your 1 and only job it is kind of embarrassing but anyway, Aries decided to use her mistake as a way to play the heel that he is and acted like a douche. That should be the end of the story, he wasnt forcing himself on her, he was acting a prick because thats what he is paid to do 100% of the time he is on camera because he is a bad guy.

I have to say it was hilarious at the time, in fact i thought the whole thing was a work as soon as she messed up because i didnt think she could make a mistake like that and then for Aries to do his part made it all seem even more scripted.

Really, upset about a little crotch in your face in wrasslin' ? Where half naked men are constantly rubbing against each other in the most homoerotic of ways? Really now.

WTF? Do you even watch wrasslin? Aries is a heel. Sorry, but when you screw up around a heel, their character is almost obligated to get at you somehow. He has multiple options for retribution, but this is what he chose. Hemme has been around the business long enough to know the kinds of animals she works with. Inappropriate? Maybe. But it fuels the show, and can be worked into a storyline. In the wrasslin game, that's a good thing. PEACE.
