lol. Actually, that might be true for both the character and the person. He seems like he'd probably be a bit of a shady dude. He also looks like a wife beater and a super jacked tiny meth head. Perfect heel.

Where were you guys when Goldust was fondling Razor Ramon?

It is certainly stupid and inane, but so, almost certainly, are many of your hobbies and interests. The difference between video games, wrestling, watching basketball, playing with dolls and watching reality TV is mostly just aesthetic preference; none of them are highly productive, intellectually intense activities. All of them are silly wastes of time. Very few of us have literally zero frivolous, time wasting hobbies, so either you're criticizing 99.7% of the population for being stupid inane fools (on a video game board, no less), or we can agree that criticizing virtually everyone for not living up to their full potential is both mean spirited and also nonconstructive.
Shots fired.

Thought that was her. I see she's dropped to ROH (hoo boy).

I haven't been hit this hard by a gimmick change since early 90's prototype strong-style Chono to, ya know. Looked up a Shinsuke match immediately and... I'm ready to drop MMA and come back. I'll assume Tanahashi has followed suit on the crazy/work skills.

Dropped? Not really. She quit WWE, took a couple of years out of wrestling and appeared in ROH because she's engaged to Mike Bennett. Both will probably be in the WWE in a couple of months, as I believe Bennett only has to pass his medicals before he's signed.

It's nice to dream. Tanahashi is doing the same things he's always done.

Nah, Tanahashi's the main reason why NJPW have recently started getting hot again, so him doing the same thing is great for the company.
Okada's one of the other reasons. :p

Haven't done this since the VHS days. Can we watch NJPW legit now?

As someone who completely switched over to MMA 7-8 years ago, yes! Big NJPW events are up on youtube 4-5 days after the fact (if that). Nakamura, Tanahashi, Okada etc are all awesome workers. NJPW are on a real hot streak.

If you want to be awesome though, you can buy their PPVs on livestream and have like 48 hours I think to watch em. Or it's a week. I can't remember. It's a good way to show NJPW that there's interest in the states(and maybe we'll get subs one day)

They are purchaseable for a week, and it's never been easier to watch NJPW. Best fed on the planet!

real talk, if you listen to the crowds he's more over than Cena is

WWE has started to notice, which is why they've been trying their hardest to associate Cena with Bryan over the last few weeks, through tag teaming and Cena using Bryan's catchphrases in his promos

That's the usual way. Someone's popular? They're now buddies with Cena! Then once he's leeched all their overness away (and gotten precisely 0% more over himself), dump them.

I'd hope Cena's increased relationship with Bryan thanks to the Bellas would prevent that second part, mind.

Cena's been trying to leech off of Bryan's catchphrases for a year though, it's hardly a new thing.

The only one more blatantly trying to steal the YES! chant has been Rodriguez for Del Rio.

The second one was at least started by the crowd and not Del Rio.

But yeah, now instead of just "borrowing" catchphrases, they've made Cena and Bryan allies on screen. I hope WWE, at some point, would take notice of how on fire the crowd were during the six man tag when Bryan got the hot tag and tore through the Shield, and how instantly they died when he was eliminated. Bryan has been a licence to print money for a year now, that they haven't ever taken advantage of (while struggling desperately to get their handpicked guys like Del Rio, Ryback, Sheamus over in the slightest).

I haven't watched in years, but the way people talk about Cena today is kinda the way I felt about the NWO back when.

I'm in the same boat! Except I switched when Chris Benoit retired. To the Canadian farmlands.

I'm happy to throw some PPV dollars their way if I can get on their schedule/hype path. Does Meltzer or anybody keep good track of this?

He does - but to me, the best NJPW representative that keeps me refreshed and up to date is WrassleGAF's own Bootaaay, who takes time out of his day to make sure people know when the next event is and why people should care about it. He's a hell of an ambassador. Hell, our monthly OT is named after the last NJPW event, Wrestling Dontaku!

Come by our Community thread and say hi, we talk NJPW often. We're doing our current Fave Five lists and there's plenty of discussion.

TNA WRESTLER FINED Over Unscripted Crotch Thrust on Lady Announcer

TNA wrestler Austin Aries was hit with a "severe fine" by the organization this week after he went off the script during a recent live event and shoved his man bits into a female announcer's face, TMZ has learned.

The unscripted crotch-thrusting went down earlier this month on "Impact Wresting" ... when Aries became upset at announcer Christy Hemme for calling him the wrong name during his ring intro.

Hemme was clearly upset during the junk attack ... and afterward, she even tweeted about the incident ... calling it "unacceptable."

But sources tell us ... Aries -- real name Daniel Solwold, Jr. -- reached out to Hemme and privately apologized, acknowledging he crossed the line.

TNA also came down hard on Aries and slapped the wrestler with a fine -- it's unclear how much cash Aries will have to fork over.

As for Hemme, we're told she has spoken with TNA officials and told them she was "satisfied" with Aries' apology.

Wrestling ... it just got REAL, SON!!

A severe fine in TNA would probably be somewhere around $100, but that's fine.

The ones with proper contracts do. Yet Christy Hemme still makes way more than most wrestlers on the roster and she can't even do her one job correctly.

And that's why she deserves midgets putting midget balls in her face! I bet Brooke Hogan gets paid more than all of the women except maybe Mickie James.
