I think when you're in exploration mode there is a pause button where you can hit "Save and Quit". If I'm remembering correctly. Should be able to pause anywhere IMO but you can't.
 
for anyone still waiting, Gilray said we can expect the release of much "soon".Also read we should be getting news on R&C FFA this week.

thx but even in exploration mode I can't find how to save, the menu button tells me I'll lose my progress if I quit

wtf, I have almost 1 hour and 30 minutes of playtime
 
Arrggh, do I buy Terraria on PS3 now or be patient and wait for the Vita version which probably won't be cross-buy?

I really want to play it not hunched over a PC. :(

Hmm I don't know man. I quit the game several times and always ended up exactly where I left off. :/

it saves every time you change areas.
look for the little icon in the bottom left.
that's how i was ensuring it saved before i quit.

I said fuck it and bought the PS3 version. Will also buy the Vita version.

Although I mainly bought the PS3 version so I could play it with my wife, since she's addicted to Terraria. She logged over 200 hours on the PC version. I know I'm going to lose hours of my life on the Vita version.

I don't own any physical PS3 games, I don't like a collection I sell everything once I'm done.

I have some downloadable psn games but nothing I care enough about to clutter my entertainment system or closet with an extra console.
 
Ugh, fuck off. I was playing Soul Sacrifice, when a "the battery is running low" message appears. So I plug in my charger, and 20 minutes later my Vita's battery dies. I realize that it wasn't charging at all. Thought it was the outlet so I changed it, but nope. No charging. Ugh. How can I know if it's the charger (without buying a new one) or the actual battery? Either way, this is balls.

Double check the connections, they sometimes fit back to front...

Did you plug in the charger so that the PS symbol in on top? You might have charged it wrong in a rush.

Did you double check to make sure you didn't put the charger in the Vita wrong? It goes in both ways but will only charge one way.

You can check if the usb part/battery is working, just plug it into your computer. If you do need to get a replacement check your local sear's/kmart/target they usually have them on sale

That happened to me and I freaked out.

I still do it, the Playstation symbol is hard to see, though at least I know why now. I don't know why they would make it like that in the first place.
 
Mine does that sometimes. But with me it's because my charge cable is dodgy so it'll only charge the console the wire is dead fucking straight. Stupid cable.

I've had the Vita headphones with built in mic from launch, they are pretty darn good and the mic works surprisingly well.

Cannot recommend the Sony Cradle enough. Really, really useful item keeping your Vita safe and always charged.
