A Pretty Panda
fuckin' called it, man
Gamercred- uhhhh, I played through Arkham City with the MVC2 soundtrack
I don't get it. Is she one of those "she's actually 1000 years old, so it's ok to lust after her even though she looks like a child" characters that anime creeps like so much?
I mean, this unfairly assumes that people in fact are attracted to the character because they are attracted to the character.
Only if you constantly assume the worst in people. It's still creepy.
Netherrealm games just end up more casual oriented. (And casuals are a larger audience.) Nothing wrong with that, but there are definitely valid reasons Capcom games stick around longer in the competitive scene other than "Capcom Bias."
Don't forget the hug pillow-chan.Screw you guys. Imma go and play Arcana Heart 3 then watch Sailor Moon while listening to AKB48

History. In any other situation, a game based on cartoon characters fighting video game characters would be considered a kid's game not meant for more than 5 minutes of attention.
My problem is if she is an awesome character in concept, and I'll take your word for it, why not give her a really cool design?
If anything you'd be better off with her not in the game and putting somebody in Skullgirls 2 who plays the same but doesn't suffer from the same art decisions (and yes I know there are big fans, but I still think a compromise in the style will serve everybody better)
And the homemade bento.
Bitches fight to the death for bentos.
You know what the funny thing is, people make fun of nerdy people for having the most insane shit, but they actually must be living comfortably and be making a decent living if they have all that stuff. When you see those rooms with wallscrolls, a plasma tv, computer, and shitloads of figures you can see how many thousands of dollars that all costs. I used to work in a comic book store and you can special order some statues through the store and this dude bought a Yoshimitsu statue that cost over $500 on top of the $100-200 in comics and trades every time he enters the store. Even though people make fun of those spending habits, fans like those are most likely more well off than most.
The simplest answer is because Alex Ahad probably just thought/thinks it's a cool character design. And he's not going to change it or compromise, because this game is his baby. Case closed. My problem is if she is an awesome character in concept, and I'll take your word for it, why not give her a really cool design?
They're not making fun of them for their spending habits, they're making fun of them for the creepy stuff they buy.

What situation? I don't think this really has anything to do with it. Fun is fun and it doesn't have an age limit on it.
Or they're parasites who bleed their parents dry. Either or.that. or that they don't go out. so their whole budget is easily around rent, and their hobby.
Or they are normal people with hobbies and a disposable income sufficient enough to support it. Any of these I guessOr they're parasites who bleed their parents dry. Either or.

It's okay Art. Everything will be alright.
people who like anime aren't normal
I was referring to Japanese NEET Otaku who, supposedly according to something I read a while ago, fund their hobbies (statues, idol concerts, etc) by basically tricking their parents or on occasion daytrading. Could all just be bull, but the post reminded me of that.Or they are normal people with hobbies and a disposable income sufficient enough to support it. Any of these I guess
That barrel introduced a new mechanic out of nowhere. It was pure bad game design. It was 4/5ths of the way into the game and there was no other place where you were required to do that nor any other place after that.Man I hated the carnival level because of that barrel. I used to just jump until it was high enough to go under. Often times I had to use a second controller because tails would always mess up the rhythm. I did not figure out you can press down until I read a thread on here.
Depends on the anime.people who like anime aren't normal
What I mean is there is already an established status quo in playing Street Fighter (and Marvel) competitively, that's derived from hardcore players from prior games. Other franchises don't have a Yipes or an Alex Valle pioneering it. (Or if they do, it exists in other nations. Like KOF for Mexico, or Korea for Tekken)
In the case of Mortal Kombat (and Injustice), they've pretty much have had to start from scratch in the post 2009 FGC world. But it shows many new people the games brought.
I can understand him being worried. But sooner or later you think he has to push a game that doesn't die after 2 weeks.
Who wants to be normal? I love good anime. I'll even watch UMVC3 when good players are involved.
Activision needs to employ Kadey, Arturo and James Chen. The combined curse levels will be strong enough to save gaming. The curse of Arturo? Should be working on the COD series.
How in the world am I supposed to know you don't jump.
This is supposed to be a platformer.

This is why Injustice at #1 doesn't mean much when you look at the bigger picture. Sad, really. But when you look at what else came out in April, yeah, that spring drought is in full effect.
This is good to hear. As much as I hate on Pachter, if he thinks its good, it's probably good since he probably has a better idea of the budget. *leans back in armchair*Well, we have this Pachter tweet that sheds a little bit more optimism on the sales https://twitter.com/michaelpachter/status/335163094407995392.
It probably still doesn't come close to MK9 though.
