Edit: Don't even get why they keep playing him, give his spot to Stone. He has been useless all playoffs long, without his speed he's very useless.

Not going to get much.

Michalek is still faster than Stone even with one good knee.

I also love how the ESPN writeup tries to sell the "Sharks dominated, but still lost" angle. Yes, they dominated the first and early second periods so hard that they were in a two goal deficit. Their first and second goals came on great plays, but the goal that put them up 3-2 was incredibly lucky, easily as lucky as the delay of game penalty that gave us the five on three. They admittedly did dominate for about a full period (halfway through the 2nd until about halfway through the 3rd), but that was it.

Blues dominated plenty of the first round series against the Kings and lost by a single goal in every loss. That happens. It's called Hockey and the use of the word "dominating" isn't reserved solely for the points on the scoreboard at a given point in time. Someone catches a goalie offguard or a defenseman shits himself with a bad turnover and a puck slips through, game over. Again, Hockey. Stop being astonished by it, most of the media rides the Kings' / Quick's dick like it's going out of style anyhow.

Yup. If there was one aspect we dominated totally yesterday it was faceoffs. 68% won.

Yes we were definitely a shoe in for the playoffs when we lost our #1C, #1D, #1G and our #1 Winger for majority of the season.

As for Q, you might have missed the part where the NHL finally got some coverage on ESPN, I wonder what they were talking about, some win streak or something.

You can make cases for all 3 and maybe more (Thierrien, Carlyle etc), there are no shit selection.

Maclean should win this hands down. He put the team on his back doe.

Did the Sens even fall out of a playoff spot this entire year?
 
Maclean is the obvious winner, but Therrien not getting a nomination for taking a team from 15th to 2 in their division is a joke.

I haven't gone into the Nolan / Bond thread yet, is it a shit show? Movie-Gaf is probably the most pretentious and annoying sub-community of gaf, I hope they all get banned.

I recently had a discussion about this with a mod. I took issue with one at the time, because it seemed pretty tame, and really not worthy of one.

That's all I'll say about it here.
