God damn this thread is embarrassing.
Users like Shogun and Cooter (who in full disclosure; I had mad respect for, particularly from their updates in FitGaf) have posted some of the most idiotic and broken logical fallacies I have ever read on this forum. The lengths of which essentially amount to; poor people should suffer, they didn't earn or deserve certain items in the first place, and lastly - how dare they choose to eat red meat with their food stamps.
I simply cannot for the life of me even interpret TimeDog's original post as 'bragging'. The dude basically said he was happy he could buy steak now, and then proceeded to get publicly ridiculed. For example, these gems:

Fuck yeah. 440x4 deadlift new PR, new calculated 1rm at 500.
Feels good bruh, time to go buy a steak and beer with my food stamps.

Beer? Buy a nice $200 bottle of wine.
I mean, what in the actual fuck? That's some petty shit. hurhurhur he's poor.
Furthermore, I used to work in a butcher shop awhile back. Steak is hardly a luxury item. Sure, there's some overpriced cuts out there to help turn a hefty profit. However, generalizing and attaching some exclusive label to Steak is buffoonery. Hell, Wal Mart has some of the cheapest meat available now that is specifically -targeted- at low income families.
You're not missing out. It's the most overrated. Rib Eye on the other hand omnomnomnom
Finally some sound reasoning. This man speaks the truth. Used to have some joker come in and ask for the tenderloins to be ground up because he refused to eat 'anything less'. The guy was basically burning money - it was surreal.
