My first thought when seeing that shot on the GT post-show was "damn, it looks huge." But then the pictures from Wired make it look much smaller than that. So I don't know what's going on.

Internal power brick is why it's so big.
with this I think its safe to say MS is abandoning the Japanese market
I think it's the angles and the design of the case that's making it look huge in these photos. What!!? That looks wAaaay smaller?!!
I think Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with this one.
You are right about that it does go into the motherboard so on top of having big foot over there we gonna game a damn big brick lolI don't think it's internal. That power connector looks weird and proprietary and in the internal shots on Wired you can see that it goes straight into the motherboard.

It's just a big black box, nothing distinctive about it.It's big and I'm not a fan of what it looks like either.
In that picture it is way closer to the camera looking a lot bigger. Look at the controller.
yeah its big though, but that OP pic is deceiving.
Yep, it's a HTPC.

There is zero way this console has internal PSU. It has to have brick.
I've seen this design before....

Looks like a DVR.
