Adam Sessler's Xbox One Controler & Kinect hand on.

I think the bigger megaton is that the thing is working with the pc with a simple usb cord.

Let that pass down to the retail version, ms.

Is it? That's great news. The rumble thing sounds pretty nice and he said it was even sturdier and the analogs felt better? They truly done the impossible and made the controller even better. Now just give us cool color options.

Also Neo Kinect is looking mighty impressive. It can work in the dark also and since it's on every box. That means that we will start getting to see it most as a tool to enhanced regular gaming instead of just a separate add-on. I'm optimistic about those two.

The Xbox One controller looks like a cheap 3rd party controller for the 360 instead of an actual advancement. I remain skeptical.

Did you saw them side to side? It looks like a natural upgrade. It has the same components that I like, which is the naturally curve, texture, matte body that's really sturdy.

The Guide button seems improved as well, hopefully is flatter.

Kinect Night vision mode is cool.

I'm assuming the I/R sensors/sources are hidden behind a black filter now? I was surprised about their lack of appearance at first but it fits in with how most other I/R stuff is behind a cover.

the only thing i see, or not see, are no fingers. The Hand is still one big thing.
And there is still lag or? Someone should Math the Lag via this video.

There does appear to be some fingers, but not all 5 for each hand. You can see more Kinect related stuff in the Wired Article. There's a video detailing a lot of cool new things in Kinect 2.0

Just based on looking at the new and old controllers side-by-side, I can say for sure that I would always choose to pick up the old one over the new.

They can read your heart rate with it? Holy crap. Imagine what content creators can do with that feedback. Between the facial expression recognition and heart rate monitoring they'll have an idea how every moment of a game or movie or TV show makes you feel. Should help creators build better content. Also the heart rate and muscle tracking is going to be awesome for fitness.

This tech seems to have leaped forward enormously. I <3 Kinect.

Almost forgot the triggers sounds pretty cool too. Can't wait to try it out with racing and FPS games. Good to see haptic feedback getting some love finally.

Surprised that I'm positively surprised by his positive impression of the Kinect. Because obviously if they're banking on the Kinect being required, it's gonna have to actually work well.

Anyway, good to hear something positive.

The improvements to Kinect are really good. But it's still a negative that it's required to be connected. Not whining about the inclusion in the box, but I'd like to be able to connect it when I feel like using it.

My setup just doesn't support having such a thing being connected at all times. Just adds too much clutter.

Well I guess he wasn't lying when he said it was rocket-science level tech...but I still don't want it in my living room lol.

Focus on a rebuilt d-pad, force-feedback trigger dynamics, and Kinect functions on par with what was hoped for with its original iteration sure as heck should have been more important to show than "you can watch TV on it."

Horror games based on the amount of light in the room with heartrate-based gameplay mechanics? Show THAT off, you goofs.

Like some sort of....vitality sensor. ;)

I don't like the fact the battery seems to be built in like the ps3 controller. I like being able to swap them out on the fly and charge them when I'm not using it. Annoys the shit out of me when I have to charge my ps3 controller since I have a short cable.

When he said it showed and EKG, I was impressed. When it showed the tracing I lost it, could not control the laughter lol. That's not an EKG lol.

I think people are underestimating these things, especially the greatly enhanced kinect, which will be not just an accessory but part of the core experience.

The thing is all this bs Microsoft is doing sucks. They have a powerful box (compared to 360), a better controller and a better Kinect.
