FFXIII would be cool on WiiU

Wii U*
I was gonna ask if that user still posted on GAF, then I saw the name lol

frankly I don't think FFXIII's systems are complex enough to have any real benefit from being put on the gamepad.

All I can really think about is putting the in battle menu on the gamepad to free up screen space and allowing the user to touch or swipe to their selections, but thats a minor upgrade in convenience at best.

I think you could have a pretty solid game if you take FF13's ultra dramatic anime teen romance story and Star Ocean Last Hope's world and gameplay. Think about it! Two bad games could do one not so bad jrpg. Tada! Problums solved. Or not.

I agree. This could be a pretty good idea. I'm going to put more thought into this and describe more systems in the game which could be implemented to provide a riveting experience for the gamer:

- Load online functions onto the Gamepad so the player can browse the internet, chat, or post on Twitter during the long cutscenes

- Implement motion controls for the Driving Mode in battles to make the summons feel more dynamic and intense

- Use the touch screen on the Gamepad to allow the player to plot routes on the maps for auto move

- As you said, allow the player to shift paradigms using the touch screen - but here's the icing on the cake - allow them to do that WHILE also browsing the internet, chating, or posting on Twitter on the same screen! Just have some overlay at the corner!

I'm sure the creative users here on NeoGAF can come up with many more great ideas, these are just a few suggestions to get the ball rolling!

Rofl. Brilliant.

Cleaning up the screen and reworking the camera system so that you can actually get a nice understandable view of stuff that's going on in battles would be a nice little addition. Worth taking SE's precious time to make a whole new version? Eh, not unless they were putting together a whole trilogy pack probably.

I would not wish the game on any system or owner.

Unless they wanted to try the sequel, in which case I would tell them to play this instead.

A triple pack would be neat. Picking paradigms from the gamepad would be nice honestly. Not a big game changer but it could be fun.

This should be a feature in every modern Square game, especially ones Toriyama are involved with!

Yup I think many WII U owners can really enjoy the trilogy. My suggestion would be something like a director's cut for FFXIII.They can trim the game by cutting two particular areas that bog down the game's pacing :

The gapra white wood section and vanille/sazh extended Vile peaks area. Also they can cut some parts of the fifth arc(which may feel too long to some players)This way players can get quicker to the open sections of the game.

Let's be honest , I think WII U owners would love to experience those three games , and ,god forbid , they may actually enjoy them.FFXIII is actually a really good game.A lot of my friends enjoyed it greatly.

I agree, XIII and XIII-2 were great. Really looking forward to LR.

The games are already multiplat so might as well spread the goodness further.

I'd rather they announce FF Versus XIII on Wii U, but that will most likely be the exclusive FF game they'll announce on PS4. I won't be surprised if they announce a FF XIII/FF XIII-2 bundle on Wii U though.
