Talking about the XL..is the battery life in those any better than the normal 3DS? I keep having to charge mine every 2 hours and it's getting a bit annoying
Its depends on your brightness setting, wifi, and other settings you have have it currently on.
Did you hold down B to speed it up? I don't remember it being too bad if you did that.
Has anyone done the 3DS --> 3DSXL transfer before? I've never done it, and was hoping to get an expectation of how long it'll take, since I need to get all my Ambassador and other e-shop games transferred.
I also have to pick up my 3DSXL, drive back to my house, do the transfer, then drive back to the store to trade in my 3DS since they don't have wifi in the store. Fun times...
I've also seen on Nintendo's site that it'll transfer all my friends / Mii stuff, so that's a plus.

Lets say they both have the same settings - brightness at 3 bars, wifi on, playing a 3DS game. How much longer would the XL last
I wouldn't know. I rarely used the OG 3DS and its silly 3D. I also have my brightness on the lowest setting and have power saver on. I never used wifi until ACNL I'll obviously will have to. I don't think ACNL is one of those "power eating" games like Wario games...
But yeah its best that if you're going to MAX out, just better off hook it up to your power charge cord.

This will be my first Animal Crossing game since the GameCube original. As much as I loved it, and as many hours as I plunged into it, I just never could convince myself to buy any other version. It always struck me as more of an app than a game, and I already have more games to play than I can possibly manage.
Still, I decided to pick this to get for free with the NoE So Many Games promotion, and am now suddenly becoming very excited to give this series a shot again. I mean, I don't even know what new features are in it, I've followed absolutely nothing about New Leaf, but I'm looking forward to going in blind and seeing how much the series has iterated from the first game. Roll on, mid-June!

I've always loved Stitches, Pierce, Tangy, Agent S, and Mabel.
They were all villagers within my first month or two of Wild World and I had many of them in City Folk so they hold a special place in my heart.
