Yeah, I have all my games still right back to the Sinclair Spectrum days. I have boxes full of NES, SNES, Playstation...

And in June I get my own place, so one room will be a retro gaming room!

Niiiicccccceeeeee! :D Would love to see pics in the gaming collections thread. :D

Damn, that's super badass. I would love to have a dedicated gaming room someday.

And you get your own place in June in Animal Crossing AND the real world?!? That sounds like an excellent month indeed :D

So jealous, any particular theme? Buddy of mine has gaming posters set up all over the wall of his retro gaming room, mainly from the Nintendo Power days.

My Backloggery is quite selective.

Considering I still live with my brothers, our rooms are pretty packed with old games that I'll never really play, so the only games I list on my Backloggery are all new games I personally bought since 2011 or any time I start to play a game (old or new).

I remember when I joined, it was New Years 2009, and there was a Majora's Mask stream on, it was so fun, and probably one of the more memorable days I've had.

Here is my list of folks I have added but have not added back. If you won't be adding (no hard feelings) I'd appreciate a quick shout so I can free up the space for others.

Hey keep me there, I'll add you this evening. Anybody who added me just let me know, I have over 70 spots left.

I left my 3DS home for my better half...

LOL I do sell my games AFTER I finish them. So I have a rolling backlog. I'm working on my last ps1 game and once I finish it, my ps1 console and the game is going to a good home. :3

I don't finish many games, and like to revisit them :C.

But I feel like I'm at critical mass for all the stuff I have, and little time to revisit old games. The more time passes, the more I feel like just giving it away

Yep. That's being realistic. I've reached that point decades ago thankfully.

I'm the same way, have only ever sold one game going back to Atari 2600 days (NES Monopoly for $100), but my collection of consoles and games just sits in a whole bunch of tubs. I had always wanted to devote a whole wall/room to them, but recently I've gotten the first ever feelings that I should start selling everything, or giving it to friends that would give it a good home.

I'll never get rid of my Power Glove though. It's so bad.

I wonder..can you put patterns on the wall in NL like an object? It would be fun to create posters or recreate game boxes as art on the walls (not as wallpaper)

Yeah I have over 150+ games in my backlog. I think I look at the boxes more than actually playing the games haha. And I'm ok with that.

Yup, I do the same thing. Got so many new games recently and instead of playing those I've been replaying a game I've beaten five or six times.

LOL, you know, when I get overwhelmed with my unfinished, I just look at my "beaten/completed" and feel better. :3 20/80 is an awesome ratio lol.

That is not a bad idea! I'm currently trying to add a lot of PSN games to the log. Thanks to PS+, there's digital backlog!

But Animal Crossing is the only one game you need for your whole life :p

Oh I know. I said wayyyyyy back in the thread that I'm scared lol. I don't like neglecting my games but yet once I get past the bulk of the gameplay in the game, I can settle playing it in a hour daily for a year after that. That's one thing I love about AC, it doesn't interfere with your other games at the time. Its a perfect inbetween short bursts on "easy" mode of sorts. Relaxing sort of gaming, an actual game break of sorts lol.

If a big Backlog starts to arise on my uh...Backloggery. Then I start deleting everything.

I have 5 unfinished games right now that are listed, and even that's bothering me to buggery.

Yeah... I don't really use the Backloggery properly... : )

I'm amazed how fast this thread is still filling up and moving!

I bought Pokemon White 2 to help me with the wait. Doing a Nuzlocke run and man, is it more challenging and engaging. I hated White 1 but I'm liking this one so much more.

I do think I'm going to name my AC town Ecruteak since City Folk didn't do it justice. I'm really hoping to get Groucho and Flora as neighbors. Man I am so excited for this game. Been dreaming about it all week. It's like my fervor for the GC one and WW. Bothwell delivered on my self-hype which rarely/never happens. My friend has never played an AC with real world holidays so I think her mind is going to be blown by how much that adds to the experience.

I guess you could say the one thing I adore about AC is that it's just a kickback and relax kinda game. The first one on the N64/GC was a great thing to come home to after a long day.

I've noticed however, that New Leaf seems kinda... hectic? Everything seems much busier and I'm not sure If I like that.

Can anyone who's played confirm it's still chilled out?

I'm glad that I have the day off when this gets out.

Meee tooo. I used to work on Sundays at that, but now I have them off!

Is anyone getting the Strat guide for this game? I am, since not only I collect games, I like to collect the guides that goes with them. The guide is cheap enough, and seems very meaty for someone like me who's never played this before. I'm sure it will have many cute pix of the animals as well.

I preordered the guide on Amazon. It's like 500-600 pages? Crazy! The guide for the past games has been like 100 pages at best. I'm looking forward to it

I always collect guides, have over 100.

Phillia, did you see my suggestion a few pages back for your document?

Yes, unfortunately people here are already saying they're deleting people that are NOT active as they'd hope. So ultimately it doesn't matter which friends' are full. Your best bet is just to ask the person directly or pm him or her.

Awesome! Glad to know someone else does this too. :3 We're getting ours for sure too. :D

Didn't know about this. My Derp meter going through the roof right now. Does TT refer to international travel frequency? If so,

GMT: 5.5
TT: Very often.

Also thanks for the spreadsheet. :)

LOL no no, Time Travel is a trick where you set your DS internal clock to change the game's clock to your advantage. In other words you can cheat to get the item you've missed in the shop a few days earlier. Or set your DS clock to your birthday to get your birthday present... Its not recommended.

So, I just got the game 2 days ago... and for both days Nookling Junction has only offered nets and shovels. Is there any way I could pop over to someone's town and grab a fishing rod?
