Hot Pie is King!

Hot Pie is God.

Pretty bummed out that they rushed the big reveal that they are actually all plugged into the Matrix for this season. In the books this doesn't happen until the 4th, and it's also so much more subtle. Having Melissandre just unplug Stannis like that "Your Grace, welcome to the desert of the real, where the night is dark and full of terrors, wanna bone, now for realz IRL?" seemed tacky.

Epilogue of tonight's episode:

"Hodor", murmured Hodor as he slumped into his seat. His legs were aching from climbing these steps so many times. He thought back on his betrayal. Everyone had thought him a simple stable boy. Little did they know that Hodor was playing them all for fools. No one had expected him to smite the Wolves and the Lions. No one had expected a simpleton to tame the Dragon.

"Your Grace?" asked the Hand. "How shall we deal with the threat of the Hot Pie? With the White Walkers coming to his cause, they hold superiority on both land and sea. How can we possibly defeat them?". Hodor looked at his Hand. "Hodor. Hodor? Hodor Hodor Hodor! Hodor", snapped Hodor. "Yes, your Grace." Stannis scurried out. Only the King and the Lord Commander of his King's Guard remained in the hall. "Hodor". "Corn?", replied Mormont's raven. Hodor look at him deeply. "Hodor", said Hodor gloomily. Hodor felt fear run through him. How could he possibly defeat the Hot Pie in single combat? The Great Other was no one Hodor wished to face, but he could not meekly surrender the Kingdom of Men.

OMG at when that ED-209 unit blasted it's way through the wall and led all the Wights / White Walkers towards Winterfell! Did not see that coming. The seven kingdoms don't stand a chance now, unless the title for episode 10 means what I think it means.....

Episode 10 -
Robocop of the North

Speaking of deceit... what was the purpose of revealing that Pycelle wasn't as enfeebled as he lets on? They just revealed that and then nothing came of it. I wonder if it'll be important in the future. He hasn't really played an important part in season 3.

I can't believe that Stannis had been having an affair with Yara Greyjoy ever since season 2. It's really amazing how the signs have been there all along, once you know to look for them. Also, hottest sex scene in the series yet?

It lets us know explicitly that he isn't who he says he is and is not to be trusted.

Damn looking at little Bran and Arya. What are they going to do when they get too old to be believable. Bran already sounds like a teenager, I predict by the next season if he's still alive or whatever, we'll start to see beard stubble.

Same goes for Arya. Supposed to be a little girl with that small sword, now she looks as tall as Jon Snow lol.

Speaking of stubble, in the world of tiny complaints, how about Gendry's perfectly trimmed goatee this season despite clearly not being in a situation where he would have bathed or shaved in quite some time.

I'm partial to the Lisa Tully getting Little Fingered... that is until her kid showed up. That was just wrong.

Nah, man. Old man Karate. It's coming!

except for the whole cheating on his wife and "child out of wedlock" thing, sure.

I still have this MASSIVE nagging feeling that jon snow is king roberts bastard, and ned took him in to save roberts face... But then he has 1500 bastards so maybe not lol.

Is it wrong I care about Gendry and Gilly more than most other characters because of my love for the OG Skins cast?

< Also this dude because of Misfits.

No, no it isn't. I feel bad for Joe Dempsie because both his characters on Skins and GoT have such a sad lives.

Mad King GasProblem, the First of His Name, King of the Seven Kingdoms. Dousing Joffrey's face in wildfire and feeding Cersei to the dogs felt so good.

That hes owned by the Lannisters or at least Tywin and Cersei. Links nicely up with Tyrion having him removed from the Council.

During this break between episodes I've actually gone way back and started watching season one again. It's interesting seeing all the little things I've missed so far and wondering if things are going to catch up with people eventually.
It was interesting as apparently Ser Jorah was the one who told Varys that Danerys was pregnant in the first series, so I wonder whose side Jorah is really on.

Also Tyrion riding backwards on that pig was the highlight of the episode for me!

Not quite sure why they spent 15 minutes on a talking pineapple and why someone though introducing cyborgs to the story would be a good idea but I still have faith in the creators.

Here, Have Some Games of Thrones in Japanese

There's no Game of Thrones this week. How to cope? With a preview of its upcoming Japanese language disc release.

While many of the books have gotten Japanese language editions, the series hasn't yet reached the public in Japan in the way Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter have.

The show is already being broadcasted on Star Channel, a Japanese cable network. Not everyone in Japan has cable TV, so Game of Thrones really hasn't had the opportunity to find a larger audience in the country. Yet.

!

Jorah was also in on the plot to kill her. Or at least knew of it. At some point he stopped spying on her and started looking out for her.

The messenger said something like "The Spider sends his regards" and then he rushes off to the wine merchant to stop the assassination.

Jorah had the chance to return to Westeros unpunished, but at that point he had fallen irrevocably in love with Daenerys.

He made his choice when he prevented the assassination. He is unquestionably loyal to her now.
