What I don't understand is the people who don't want the disc to just work. If I stick a disc into the console it needs to fucking work, no registering, no fucking bullshit. It should just read the disc, and then I should be able to launch the game.

Why are there people out there (gamers, not publishers) who are looking forward to the complication of this process?!?

They don't want to find out the real reason why game sales suffer. Hint: It's their own fault. It's pretty easy to take away consumer rights because they know people can't or won't do much.

I think the publishers decision not to launch a game for PS4 for no DRM reasons outweighs the financial loss they would get by launching a game with DRM measures.

hah i went over to the IGN boards (its been years) to see if there was any chatter. I found several different threads about the topic and this movement on GAF, all of them locked with no reason given.

That's not what the modding instructions were when i was a mod over there (a decade or so ago)
