my props to sunhilegend :)

Completely killed me, well done!

It's definitely the publishers more than anything, Sony has definitely heard the message now. I think it's time to focus on the real people associated with the major publishers in the OP.

I agree, I just don't think we should tweet the devs personally, they seem to get more annoyed than helpful.

Just did my part and tweeted.

Been following this thread since it first popped up and I'm shocked (but not surprised) at how much this campaign has progressed so far. I really hope what everyone is doing convinces Sony not to implement used game DRM into the PS4.

Keep up the amazing work everyone!

over 400,000 views on the thread now.

sent a tweet at Robin Van Persie, can't do any harm lol. Must play video games, all of them do.

anyone getting spammed would not be in a good mood

I applaud the initiative but I feel some are taking this a bit too far

It's counter-productive. Kamiya is not involved with PS4 anyway so it's okay to ask for his support but spamming? Better save that for people that actually matter here (those who work for Sony and are involved with PS4)

Agreed. So guys I urge you to tweet these people:

Christian Guillemot
Co-founder of Ubi Soft

JEFFREY T. HUBER - Director (EA)
https://twitter.com/jhuber

@chrissvensson (Christian Svensson, Senior Vice President of strategic planning and business development at Capcom)

Here's one of Activisions Board of Directors

New to twitter but found this guy...

@PatrickSderlund

PATRICK SÖDERLUND - EA Vice President of games
EDIT: Here's the link: https://twitter.com/PatrickSderlund

I checked his followers & tweets he looks legit to me.

Was Kamiya even getting spammed?

I do no know but apparently he felt like it?

I got the impression that several in this thread posted the same tweets several times to the same people.

One time is enough, repeated tweets to the same persons is not a good thing.

Maybe once a week to the same person is OK but not more than that.

Thanks for all of these.

I'm going to revise the third party tweet link on the open letter soon... I don't know, I might regularly rotate in and out different people.

Nice, managed to get a screenshot of the information website uploaded to the big finnish website (which specializes in funny videos/pics) I was talking about. Up to half a million finns visit it weekly.

Also managed to get a direct link in another portion of the site:

Hope this helps getting some finnish people involved.

Well the commenter below is not wrong. "Only true way to vote is with your wallets. Maybe then the message would get through"

Just curious: people campaigning here are you planning on buying the PS4 anyway no matter what the DRM solution will be? Or are you just trying to make a product you'll buy anyhow better?

Why are we tweeting to EA?
What will that accomplish (I'll tweet to EA as well if someone can explain it to me)?

Because they're a big player who gets to tell Sony and MS what they want to see and actually make a difference? Not to mention that there are people who believe that it was specifically EA who wished for tighter DRM and used games blocked.

Vote with your wallet doesn't send any message, because there is no message beside I didn't bought your product. No explanation.

The message is that your product wasn't good enough. It's up to them to evaluate what went wrong.

I'd buy a PS4 anyway if a used game block is in effect since I buy new but I think it'll hurt the industry if it happens since so much used game money goes back into new games.

The XBO DRM that bothers me more are the online activations, 24 hour check in, and required Kinect. As long as nothing like that is in place I'll get a PS4 but I'll be disappointed if a used game block happens.

I'd buy a PS4 but I would stop buying games at day 1 prices.

I won't buy any console I deem to be anti-consumer.
PC/Nintendo for me unless Sony do the right thing.

I agree that voting with your wallet is a good way to send a message but what we want to do is to get this message across to as many people as possible and to try and keep what we have now. We could easily just sit back and take whatever the industry wants to throw at us but we have a voice and it's time we used it.

I know. Isn't that the very reason why our tweets to them would so no real purpose?

edit:
ah Okay, then, we need to send a different message to EA.

If they block used games as well and/or require to connect to the internet, I will wait as long as I can to buy a PS4. And buy a Wii U first, which I want to buy anyway. But no restrictions will make me buy a PS4 way earlier.

It can't hurt and if we can convince them and other key publishers to lighten up the chances of Sony and Microsoft changing plans goes up dramatically.

I shot a tweet @BBCNews - a lot of the times during big video game events a story about them can break the top ten read in the world and this is 'news-y' enough I'd figure I'd give it a shot.

i've got it, the person we should have RT this for us, @stephenfry he has 5.8 million followers and he is always RT'ing stuff. Plus (and here's the gaming/Sony connection) he's the narrator for Little Big Planet.

The only thing I see working with EA, is if the message is that you won't be buying any EA branded games. But that's dilutes the message and bifurcates our efforts in a negative way.

But tweeting never hurt anyone, so I guess its still good.

edit:
I guess what I am trying to say is, we need to stay the course. Keep concentrated, and steadily, in a non-spamming manner, voice our concerns.

I won't.

Just published a quick post on my blog (in Italian). I don't know if this can help in any way, but at least the few people that read it will acknowledge what we're doing and why we're doing it.

He actually seems to be in tune with gaming culture, so this could be a great avenue to go down. Explain the situation in the tweets though rather than just having tags in there that he has to investigate...

Good to see a lot of UK press picking this up. Looking forward to the US waking up.

There is no single game worth giving up our consumer rights. So no.

I will (finally) be getting a Gaming PC if this the lay of the land.

Sent him the hashtags and a link to this forum, just asked him to give us a RT in support of our cause.
