I personally don't use twitter, but I think this is a great movement. Good luck! I personally will never be buying a console that is always online, no used games.

My tweet from yesterday is on the top tweets when you look at #PS4USEDGAMES. Not as high rated as Jim Sterling's but still there! Lol!

Anyways, will keep tweeting, this is a worthy cause!!! :-D

I really hope they will also do something about this, other than just tell us they hear us. But some of their tweet reactions do point to a positive out come.

Hoping for the best!!

Just curious: people campaigning here are you planning on buying the PS4 anyway no matter what the DRM solution will be? Or are you just trying to make a product you'll buy anyhow better?

Nope, used games drm equals no buy to me...

I always buy new games and bought a couple of used in my gamer life, but i'm not going to support this drm stuff with my wallet.

Wii was my main console last-gen (60+ games) and PS3 my second choice (20+ games), I bought a WiiU but be sure i wouldn't buy a PS4/XB1 if they decide to keep things this way.

they are like love and marriage, and as Frank told us, you can't have one without the other....no. sir.

Fixed. Kudos for Sinatra quote btw.

i've got it, the person we should have RT this for us, @stephenfry he has 5.8 million followers and he is always RT'ing stuff. Plus (and here's the gaming/Sony connection) he's the narrator for Little Big Planet.

Another guy is Jonathan Ross @wossy Massive gamer and huge amount of followers. I tweeted and DM'd him yesterday but he was probably busy being a bank holiday. More tweets need to be aimed at him.

MCV put up two articles: http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/hashtag-campaign-for-no-drm-on-ps4-targets-sony/0116207 and http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/sony-embraces-ps4nodrm-campaign/0116236.

Well the commenter below is not wrong. "Only true way to vote is with your wallets. Maybe then the message would get through"

I won't support any console that goes in such an anti-consumer direction.

Just published a quick post on my blog (in Italian). I don't know if this can help in any way, but at least the few people that read it will acknowledge what we're doing and why we're doing it.

I like it (broken Google Translate English and all). I wrote my own piece: http://addresstherob.wordpress.com/2013/05/27/a-plea-to-the-videogame-industry.

Welp, that's a really good article, great job. And thanks! :)

Why really? People will still buy the systems no matter how bad/draconian the DRM is. This is inevitable the future we are heading too

As in, there will be a massive backlash if they do anything differently to last gen, even if what they implement doesn't go as far as Microsoft has. Sure people will buy anyway, but the tone of their E3 will be dictated by this.

I won't, I'll just use the money I have saved for the PS4 to upgrade my PC.
I can only speak for myself and, like I said before, that money will go toward more 3DS/Vita games, Wii U and a decent PC.

that's only one page... are there pics of the other pages?

and when I think of movements, I think of operation rainfall

I wonder if we're successful if there will be a bigger push for digital copies from Sony and publishers. It seems like that would be the best route for everyone, we still have the freedom that comes with physical copies and they can make more money on digital ones. Advertising the digital versions more would help a lot.

I did my part! In addition to the people at Sony my 13 followers--including one who may or may not be an amateur you know what--now know how I feel about #PS4NoDRM and #PS4USEDGAMES!!!

The people saying that they will never buy a console always online and no used games are full of shit.

Are you serious? I've got about 200+ games in my backlog spread across generations, platforms and genres. I am not some sort of salivating dog that will pounce on anything a platform holder wiggles in front of me, and I'd like to think most people are the same way, at least on this board.

A product is supposed to be designed with features and characteristics that please your potential customers. That's how you make a profit. If a platform doesn't meet my needs, I'm not going to buy it. Why do you think people are full of shit? Do you just think that everyone here has no backbone?

I think you underestimate your fellow community. We're not the largest group of people, and we may be the loudest, but we're far from insignificant.

I tweeted Tom Hoggins, the video games editor of the Telegraph, I think we should try and get the mainstream media involved as well. It's great that the enthusiast press have picked up on it, but the next stage is surely getting the mainstream media in on the action so even regular consumers know that consumer rights matter and Sony/MS should be standing up for them.

From your childish post, it seems you have no restraint..don't apply your shortcomings onto others.

On topic..awesome job, all of ya! Keep up the good work. Perhaps both companies take notice and find a better work around that benefits everyone. As a lifelong gamer, I'll be skipping this gen if my games are locked to one system..there's one system for each person in my house (5), and we share. It's not a crime and we should pay no fee..$60 is more than enough.

did my part to yosp and Rohde

#nodoubledipping was my hashtag as the DRM effects my household with my daughter and wife that game... ON THERE OWN PROFILE.

Now is the right time to stir things up for the attention of Euro PlayStation contacts.

Yesterday was amazing, but it was also a bank holiday in the UK, where SCEE is based :) It's now 9am, and UK based companies should be getting back to work. Noise this morning would be a good idea :)

I have updated the tweet links in the Open Letter to target PlayStationEU and other SCEE accounts as well as the UK wing of publishers: http://gofreak-ie.appspot.com/ps4usedgames

@PlaystationEU
@SCEEBlog
@ElectronicArts
@Capcom_UK
@Ubisoft

( As well as, still, the big wigs in Japan and the US, @yosp, @philrosenberg )

If anyone has more personal accounts of relevant people in the european arms of these companies, that'd be great.

Share, tweet, link...anything! Just do it :)

Later I'll switch things back in the open letter to target the US. It'll also be their first day back after the weekend...but for now, let's work Europe.
I've retweeted your blog links again just now & also reposted your link on FB :)

Also..

Found this guy on LinkedIn & twitter:

Roy Stackhouse (@StackerzR) MD for Activision UK.

I cannot believe how easy this could be for Sony. We've basically set the ball up on a tee for them. All they have to do is knock it out of the park.

I consider this a mega chance for Sony........I hope they can pull it off!

I'm convinced agreements have long been in place with all major publishers and Sony, MS regarding DRM. If Sony pull the plug on their DRM solution it will cause all manner of issues. MS will either ask publishers for exclusives or they will pull DRM from the system. For DRM on consoles to work they (MS SONY) needs a system that is in balance between the two companies. One company doing it and the other not was never going to be a solution for publishers, they either both do it or neither of them do it. My guess both have been long signed up to a solution and no manner of screaming from core gamers will change anything.

are we playing golf or baseball
