The people saying that they will never buy a console always online and no used games are full of shit.
I couldn't even use it, me and my wife decided against having internet in our home.
So, Xbone is a big no.

Found this guy on LinkedIn & twitter:
Roy Stackhouse (@StackerzR) MD for Activision UK.
are we playing golf or baseball
Edit: "If we can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards...Checkmate."
I'm convinced agreements have long been in place with all major publishers and Sony, MS regarding DRM. If Sony pull the plug on their DRM solution it will cause all manner of issues. MS will either ask publishers for exclusives or they will pull DRM from the system. For DRM on consoles to work they (MS SONY) needs a system that is in balance between the two companies. One company doing it and the other not was never going to be a solution for publishers, they either both do it or neither of them do it. My guess both have been long signed up to a solution and no manner of screaming from core gamers will change anything.
Oh wait...you'll just put the money into the platform where stronger DRM measures are incredibly common. Dat argument logic.
Well it's either that, or you're wrong.The people saying that they will never buy a console always online and no used games are full of shit.

I disagree. This shouldn't be a campaign to make Microsoft cave in, but to make them look like the bringer of evil to the gaming consumer.Posting from the other thread. With regards to expanding this campaign to include tweeting Microsoft

Yes and publishers can wave goodbye to their PS3 revenues if they decide not to give full support to PS4.
Publishers are not in a position to piss off Sony when almost half of their revenue is made on Sony's platforms. Third parties cut off Sega and Nintendo because it made little difference to their bottom line if it resulted in sanctions on releasing on other platforms from those two. The same cannot be said for Sony.
We need to get this idea that publishers hold all the cards out of here. Sony are the platform holder where publishers make a fuck load of money, that position naturally comes with a lot of power to dictate terms. EA and Activision are not going to turn around and say no to PS4 releases if it means no more PS3 publishing. Investors will have the respective CEOs' heads on pikes if they stopped releasing PS3 games.
I disagree. This shouldn't be a campaign to make Microsoft cave in, but to make them look like the bringer of evil to the gaming consumer.
I think a much more useful tactic would be to fill Microsoft's twitter account with #PS4noDRM and #PS4UsedGames.
And the best way to push back is to make people not want to buy their product. Why would you put more money into the pockets of a company trying to push this initiative?Stop pretending to care about consumers. This affects the whole industry and not just Sony. Although your bias shows with your avatar.

German IT News-Site golem picked up the story:

No not really, if they end up caving in and then consumers giving them more money, you're supporting a company that was seriously pushing it into the consumer.Are you joking?
I'm not saying publishers do not publish on PS4 what I'm saying is if MS does it and Sony pulls the plug on DRM, MS has two options. Ask for exclusives Say, 3-6 month window before it's released on the the PS4 or they pull DRM from Xone. Personally I'm of the opinion that heads of agreement of long since been signed off by all concerned.
I cannot believe how easy this could be for Sony. We've basically set the ball up on a tee for them. All they have to do is knock it out of the park.
And the best way to push back is to make people not want to buy their product. Why would you put more money into the pockets of a company trying to push this initiative?
And #PS4noDRM and #PS4UsedGames do exactly that.Maybe we should also tweet Microsoft telling them our thoughts like we are doing for Sony? As gamers. We should care about the industry. And not about a single company. Because this DRM bullshit will only be defeated if both companies get rid of it.
And #PS4noDRM and #PS4UsedGames do exactly that.
Just a paragraph will do but it would show execs exactly why we dont want this?
No, it's supporting the movement while showing them you won't buy their crap if they keep pushing anti-consumer tactics. Why would you even advertise their box's name for them like that?That is limiting it to one platform. It should just be #noDRM or something like that.
In the OP are the people you need to tweet at Microsoft. And yes this is a problem for everyone.Maybe we should also tweet Microsoft telling them our thoughts like we are doing for Sony? As gamers. We should care about the industry. And not about a single company. Because this DRM bullshit will only be defeated if both companies get rid of it.

Now is the right time to stir things up for the attention of Euro PlayStation contacts.
Yesterday was amazing, but it was also a bank holiday in the UK, where SCEE is basedIt's now 9am, and UK based companies should be getting back to work. Noise this morning would be a good idea
I have updated the tweet links in the Open Letter to target PlayStationEU and other SCEE accounts as well as the UK wing of publishers: http://gofreak-ie.appspot.com/ps4usedgames
@PlaystationEU
@SCEEBlog
@ElectronicArts
@Capcom_UK
@Ubisoft
( As well as, still, the big wigs in Japan and the US, @yosp, @philrosenberg )
If anyone has more personal accounts of relevant people in the european arms of these companies, that'd be great.
Share, tweet, link...anything! Just do it
Later I'll switch things back in the open letter to target the US. It'll also be their first day back after the weekend...but for now, let's work Europe.
Better yet show executives why THEY don't want this.
No used games is a person who buys a lot of games at launch having their used games sales limiting their spending pool.
Less sales is less DLC sales.
No rentals and used games won't allow people to 'try' new intellectual properties to build fanbases for future purchases.
No used game sales and rentals won't allow young gamers to expand their horizons and explore other genres.
The value on games with short campaigns and tacked on multi-player suddenly won't seem worth a purchase.
People who actively advertise your games with Let's Play and streams won't be able to necessarily afford all games anymore.
There's been some talk on Twitter about what effect Sony could make at this point, and thus the usefulness of a campaign like this. Some are saying it's probably too late.
If you believe Sony has mandated a universal regime, and contracts are signed, then there is probably very little Sony can do now. It might not be so easy for them.
On the other hand, if nothing is signed, it could be easy from a PR point of view, but difficult from a publisher handling point of view.
And then there's the middle possibility - that an opt-in regime is in place for publishers. In that case, lobbying sony and publishers could at least make them aware of consumer sentiment if they roll ahead with using such a system. As long as this is a possible scenario I think it's worth keeping on the pressure.
We don't need to shout their name on this one, and the other thread is useless. We are kinda doing both. If Microsoft stays ignorant on all of this backlash Sony is getting, we can't help them.Maybe we should also tweet Microsoft telling them our thoughts like we are doing for Sony? As gamers. Because they haven't confirmed any DRM measures and aren't actively supporting and pushing it. Hence #PS4noDRM and #PS4UsedGames to push that it remains that way.Why advertise the PS4? The same should be said that you wont buy the PS4 if they push this anti-consumer tactic. Its pretty obvious they are planning to put used games DRM in it. Its just Microsoft was the first one to come out with it so they are getting all the hate.

I don't think you get what I'm saying. If Microsoft ignores this whole campaign and we still see that DRM, I don't think removing it was ever an option.Well both Sony and Microsoft know we don't like this DRM stuff. Now its about how many times we want to remind them.
