i'm not a book reader (well, i'm about 80 pages into book one, but that doesn't count) but i don't really think you can blame book readers for this one. eoses, or whatever his name is, is a typical drive-by troll. that can happen in any thread, in any context. it's not fair to blame the regular book readers for it. even if we banned all of them from this thread, there would still be the possibility for drive-by spoiler cunts.

Maybe his post was a joke, but the way he dropped it certainly riled up a good number of posters for no good reason. Maybe this could be a rule for the next OT.

There are definitely respectable book readers ITT. I very rarely post here but I've only commented on the show when I have.
But generally speaking, I don't see any real benefit 'we' would bring to TV viewers.

On the one hand, book readers shouldn't be discussing any aspects of the show here except for the performance aspect (i.e. wow, those dragons looked cool!). On the other hand, you still need book readers here (or for god's sake, bring in or make someone a mod who has read the books!) to let mods know when people are posting spoilers as "speculation." Even in the past 5 pages there are posts which make me cringe because it looks like there are some secret readers. But it's impossible to prove.
Unfortunately, the only way for non book readers to be safe is to not even talk about the show with anyone online.

Btw, this went up on youtube over the week. It has a couple decent laughs in it.
There was also the the "Beer of Thrones" parody last week on youtube. It's kinda dumb but has a couple decent lines.

I saw the spoiler warning at the top of this page so I'm avoiding scrolling down or posting in this thread at all ever again. Not sure why people have to ruin it for the rest of us. Guess this will get me to resume reading the books myself (on book 3) more quickly to avoid having more stuff spoiled. Sorry for anyone who got spoiled

Even finding out something ISN'T a spoiler is a spoiler in itself. Joking about spoilers is nearly as bad as actually spoiling stuff.
It could be a recessive trait like blonde hair in real life. After all, look at the Baratheons they should all have black hair even if one parent has blonde hair because it's a very dominant trait int he family.
The constant incest could explain all the blonde haired Targs running around.

I do not understand posters like this. If you want spoilers, go look pretty much anywhere on the internet. Seriously, 99.999999 percent of the pages involving game of thrones on the internet have spoilers.

Oh, and a note for clever spoiler dude: if that turns out to be real, your ban is going to get way longer.

I'm just a very curious guy by nature and was just wondering whether this guy spoiled or trolled; I wouldn't even reply to the PM.
