The disc doesn't press itself. Costs of transport, environmental damage, retailer cut. That is quite a lot that can be passed on to the customer.

But I might just preorder digitally the day before it comes out instead. I think this will be updated a billion times so the disc will be mostly useless.

I'm also reminded I still need to play GTA5...
