Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | May 2013 | Lovecraftian Wasteland

Man, $15 for Limbo? I would have understood that price three years ago, but come on. The game is old. Should have been no more than $10.

I wish Limbo was $10, but I am biting when I get the Vita. An extra 5 is not going to stop me from playing it. I haven't played it yet, though.

This is really a problem with late port on Vita, it's like they think Vita owners have only this system or super desperate.

imho Limbo should be $5 max(it's old as dirt and very short)

Yeah even at launch the mechanics are so shallow 5$ would have been much better. Game has quirky art and not much else

been playing through syphon filter dark mirror. fun game, very slick production but it's especially good on vita with the twin sticks. works so well.

Yeah, played it back in the day on PSP and thought it was awesome. I haven't picked it up yet for the Vita, but I'm sure it's much, much better.

I also need to get Resistance: Retribution.

So, what's the vita muffins word on the two recently released games on euro psn? Can't seem to recall their names, I'm talking about the puzzle game and the psp remake game :/ Prices are inviting...

Quell Memento and The HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character. :)

Quell is a quite relaxing puzzler. There's a decently sized demo available so you can decide on it yourself.

Rotating Octopus is... okay. I haven't played it much. No demo for this one. I think Carl is a fan of the original on PSP so maybe he can convince you, haha.

So a guy in a group i'm in on facebook has this has his Vita lockscreen...I'm not sure what to think about it.

The puzzles are fantastic, what are you talking about?

Yes, I totally agree. This game has fantastic puzzles as well as a great mood and feel to it. The experience is enhanced by the (fantastic) puzzles. Everything about this game just...feels right.

I see everyone complaining about the price, and I see how everyone can feel that way, but I look at it this way: The vita is lagging behind in the games department. If quality, well established titles can't sell well under $20, then indie developers are going to be put off by the prospect of selling on vita. Of course I have no other evidence to support this, as indie game developers seem to love the Vita, but I don't want established developers to be put off from the Vita if Limbo can't even sell well.

I've been playing a little Super Stardust again lately and I forgot how fun this game is. It's also insanely unforgiving. If you die once it's basically the end of your run if you are trying to get a higher score (unless your old high scores and those of your friends are really low).

I think Sony wanted to bring the famous indie devs to the plattform, so their next projects will be on Vita right on launch(I think i heard that the next TWD will also be on Vita right form the start on and not be a late port, so thats that).
All those famous indie devs on the Vita might also attract other indies.

Yeah, this is what I've always thought. Thomas Was Alone got a PS3/Vita port, now Mike Bithell's next game looks like it'll be coming to PS4/Vita, too.

I also hope this is why Flower is getting a Vita port.

I've been playing impact because I always get to distracted mid game. It's easier to stay alive in that mode. And no one plays it. It probably wouldn't be difficult to get in the top 10

Remember when the first trailer came out and a number of people said there was no way it could be a Vita game? :)

Exactly, I think a lot of people were shocked/upset that it's a Vita exclusive. I personally was pretty surprised it was a Vita exclusive, I thought it would be at least PS3/Vita.

I think it's hilarious tho, there are tons of people who keep singing the same old tune - "NOT ENOUGH EXCLUSIVE SYSTEM SELLERS!" and then a potential one is announced and they're like "AWWW I WANTED IT ON PS3!!!!"

I look forward to what Sony has in store for the Vita in E3 with great hope that it'll be, indeed, substantial. I want to be as excited for another game as I am for Tearaway (which is the game I'm buying a Vita for).

Might not be the same people. But yeah, I'm in the 'needs more system selling exclusives' camp :)

Hey guys. I don't follow Vita threads or news, and this thread seems a little giant to search for an answer, so excuse me if this has been asked before...

I had a Vita but I had to sell it. I want to get another one, and I am curious if there is any news about a possible Vita price drop around E3?

Looking like it could be good. Looks a little flat, but hopefully that means it runs well on the vita. More interested in knowing how all the micromanaging stuff works and how deep it is.

Really no one knows, but with the price cut in Japan already happened it is safe to say a price cut is happening this year just a matter of when not if.

$15 for limbo is too much. I know that's what it's been on xbla and psn also... but it was too much there as well.

It's 3 hours long and has virtually no replay value.

I thought it was alright. I loved the art. But... man, $15. Not dipping again I don't think.

Flat seems to be an understatement. I can't muster any interest in that, the trailer just about bored me to death. :P

Aybss mode is pretty fun in Blazblue. Takes Guilty Gear's survival, puts in various difficulties/levels to stop "descending" down and also allows you to buy enhancements instead of choosing them from Ex/Gold characters.

7.99 should be the price for Limbo, if it was I probably would have copped it. First play through was awesome in Limbo and sure its gonna be an awesome experience on the Vita for those who never played it. Jealous

Haven't been following lately. Any news of a larger memory card coming?

If not. Is the current 85 @ amazon the lowest it's been in a bit. Been a while since I paid attention.

PS+ has my 16gb full and I can't add games I want to try without deleting at this point.

Same here man. But no, nothing new about larger cards or price drops on them.

I guess we're all here waiting for E3 before making decisions. :)
