I've been rooting for Chris G since he was known more as the "King of Choking" than as the King of Marvel, but after listening to his thoughts for the first time in that interview.... holy shit. What the fuck is with this guy? Here's someone who has more to be happy about than almost anybody else in the FGC, and all he does it put a negative spin on literally everything. "Making first place barely cracks five figures..." cry me a fucking river, dude! You're making what sounds like a decent living by traveling all over the country and doing what you love, and it's not enough for you? "If I win EVO... I barely get any money, and all I have left is the fame and the glory, which mean nothing to me." No shit? Good, I hope you don't come to EVO after all, if that's how you really feel. The arrogance and entitlement oozing from this kid's complete lack of logic is nauseating. It's really disappointing that one of the most talented players in the community actually thinks like this. It would be great if that was really just one gigantic troll, but it doesn't seem likely.

However, I would really like to know more about the circumstances surrounding the interviewers' problems with EVO and the Canon bros. Would anyone mind summing up their grievances for someone who is relatively new to the scene?
 
I think Chris G's overall problem is that he's a top player that can't handle the pressure of being a top player.

Zalsalamel was cut. Mina has popularity, Talim has some popularity.

Instead we got Moeblob Sophie-Wannabe, Stupid Wolf Guy, Magic Orb Girl who doesn't belong in the game, and Slash Dudebro/ Bust Setsuka. They also kept Lizard Man and Algol.


The lack of Mina and Yunsung was a huge reason why I can't get into SC5.
 
As someone who isn't super well-versed in the scene politics, most of what he was saying really just... made no fucking sense at all. He doesn't like EVO or the Canon bros because... the scene and turnouts aren't as big as they could be? Because he doesn't make enough money for taking first place at non-EVO tournaments? Unless the Canon bros are hoarding cash and making a killing off players' entry fees at EVO each year, I'm not sure how he manages to convince himself that they're somehow to blame for his oh-so-meager 5 figure earnings for flying out and playing videogames over the course of a weekend. Unless I'm missing something here?

I think it's more he doesn't know who to blame, or he doesn't know what the real issue is.

Seriously, in that video there is a point where he says all of the following:

"SOMEONE NEEDS TO STEP UP"
"SOMEBODY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING"
"I HATE COMPLAINERS"

Now take those in the context of the entire interview. He's too ignorant to assess the issues in detail and does not have any solutions, or an argument for what to do.

He's really not saying anything all he seems to know is that he doesn't trust Wizard and the Canons a sentiment that's also shared by many people in the FGC for God knows what reason.

Is the channel deleted or he simply isn't streaming the show anymore? If it's the later could we conclude that twitch had a role in that? I mean I seen much harmful commentary flying through stream chats on twitch.
 
Who even comprises of the FGC Illuminati? I always see the name being used but I never have faces to put to the name. I guess one of them has to be Mr.Wizard.

Stream chat is just as much twitch's problem as the streamers (they could provide mods too).

I'd imagine they told them to stop the show or they would close the channel.

Wizard, Cannons, Keits, Valle, Markman, haunts...probably Jebailey is hanging around outside trying to peek in and Spooky is recording the meetings.
 
I think the Cannon brothers, Mr.Wizard and Keits are definitely in the Illuminati or at least they are the people who most refer to when they mean the Illuminati.

Nah, Keits and Skisonic are the door guards, who also on the side direct attention away from the Illuminati using WakeUpSRK.
 
If I had to guess who is in this "illuminati" I would guess

So that means 1) The Canons, 2) Mr. Wizard, 3) Kineda, 4) Gootecks, 5) Keits

But I highly doubt some illuminati shit exist.

O so I see where OBS and co are mad. They aren't mad entirely about being shutdown, they are mad because they feel that it was the Keits diss alone that did it. Apparently there are other videos of CDjr, MLG, etc etc and they never got reported.

Can't see how it would affect anything if archives cannot be access.

I thought this whole thing was over with. Valle went on and explained things from his point of view and everything was supposedly all cool.
