Edit: Whoa new page. Buy Klax on the Atari Lynx!

Now that gaf hype has died down a little would you( yes you random vitamuffin) recommend it in your top 5 games for the system?

Gravity Rush
WipEout 2048
Soul Sacrifice
LittleBig Planet
.
.
.
Can't pick a fifth. Tie between Dokuro, NGSigma+, and Super Stardust Delta.

EDIT: Hah jumped on the bandwagon without reading the original post closely enough. Anyway... there's my list of top vita games FWIW.

The only thing it would benefit is knowing the lyrics. You can memorize the main menu in seconds. Most import-friendly game possible.

Also it's cheap to import due to popularity, you can probably find a copy for $40.

Hmmmmm.......

Now my interest is really piqued. If you can only choose one though, between this and DJ MAX, which one will you pick? Because the latter interest me as well.

Also, a question to you folks:

Which game in Vita that makes you say "wow" the first time after owning the machine? For me it's Wipeout 2048, when launching the Quake attack. I said "wow" audibly, hahaha.

Been dropping in and out of this thread for a while now.

Picked up a Vita a few weeks back, awesome stuff, but the multi player community seems dead. Its one of the main reasons I ain't bothered picking up soul sacrifice. Is there a GAF mp community for Vita?

Either Uncharted GA or Wipeout 2048. Can't remember for sure but I know I audibly said "wow" on both of those.

DW next and Virtua Tennis for Native-Res wonder (games were good too), and Gravity Rush for the system's capability.

I never have trouble finding people on Soul Sacrifice. There's also quite a few GAF players in the OT.

I don't like DJ Max being all touch-screen but if you're into that then pick that up. The only touch screen stuff Project Diva has is the DJ-scratching whatever thing; the majority is button presses.

I played Rayman Origins with my mouth open like my Avatar all the time. Some of the sections in Uncharted were quite amazing.

But Gravity Rush. Oh man I can't even begin to say how breathtaking the game is after the initial 2 hours. It starts off very slowly but once Kat gets more powerful the game just blows up. The game really shows how capable the Vita is.

Definitely Project Diva, personally, but I can't stand touch-controlled rhythm games. If it was Diva or a DJMax Portable I'd still go Diva. Fun gameplay, great music, great videos. Ace!

Hmmm........

Now you REALLY pique my interest for Project Diva. I am basically only a nudge away from actually trying to look for it/buying it right now, hahaha.

Also, uncharted, huh. The demo didn't impress me, unfortunately, although hmm, there is certainly a bit of a "this is wrong" feeling owning Vita but not owning this game...

Hopping to JP PSN?

Sorry about the newbish question but, how? I am gonna need a different MC, am I not?

Yes, or you can back up your memory card to your PC and format it if you only have one. Just be sure to always sync trophies before resetting your Vita whenever you end up doing so.
Alternatively you could download the PS3 demo (and get the superior Vita version afterwards), or..watch someone play it, I guess!

I actually have two, one 8 GB and the current one the 32 GB (although more like 29 GB bah). The whole thing seems like too much trouble, sorry, hahaha.

I'll try scouring YouTube then for videos and stuff.

The only way I am gonna get this is with retail huh, since I very much doubt US PSN has this game for download. Alright then.....

My choice of 5 would be

Guacamelee
WipEout 2048
Uncharted: GA
Sonic Allstars Racing
LBP Vita

All are great fun games and exactly what I wanted from my Vita. I still cannot beleive that people write the console off as a failure when it has some of the best games I've ever played on a handheld.

Lots of Vita stuff next week

Paint Park Plus
Toro's Friend Network
Quell Memento
LIMBO

I have heard good things about Quell Memento so I may check that out, also curious to see what kinds of upgrades there are for paint park plus since my daughter likes to mess with the first release allot.

I really want to know when we cqn expect stuff like Terraria, Frozen Synapse, and Hotline to drop. Hooefully we will have more info on some of these indie releases within the next week.

Those are all scheduled for 'summer' so expect them either June (to coincide with E3) or July :)

My top 5? I don't have that many Vita games, so it'll be hard for me.

Currently:

1. Virtue's Last Reward
2. Persona 4 Golden
3. Guacamelee
4. Persona 3 Portable (PSP)
5. Corpse Party: Book of Shadows (PSP)

I'd like to see if someone in here is interested before I post in the buy/sell thread. I have a 32GB memory card in original packaging that I'm probably not going to end up using, and I'd like to get something like $60 after shipping/fees for it.

1. Uncharted GA
2. Guacamelle
2. Unit 13
3. Persona
4. Rayman
5. Wipeout

Unit 13 is overlooked quite a lot in my opinion. Discounted on the EU store at the moment (£11.99), well worth a punt.

1. Wipeout2048
2. Uncharted: GoldenAbyss
3. Rayman Origins
4. Guacamelee
5. LittleBigPlanet Vita

Honorable mentions:
NFS: MW, GravityRush, Oddworld:StrangersWrath, MutantBlobsAttack, SoundShapes, AllstarBattleRoyal, SonicRacingTransformed, SoulSacrifice

1)knytt underground

Why do you think Toukiden and GE2 are PSP/PSV instead of PSP/3DS? Though, I suspect both of them will get ported to other platforms. PS3/PS4 for Toukiden, and 3DS for God Eater 2. The latter is the only version that'll be localized ("Gods Eater 2 Burst") as it'll include native online-play.
1)You overestimate nintendo platforms, on nintendo consoles only certaind developers like square, capcom, level 5 and few others have good sales, all the rest sell better on other platforms despite the installed base
2)on 3ds there are 2 monster hunter
3)they want to take advantage of lack of monster hunter and the desire of it of (japanese)psp and vita gamers
4)omega force already developed for vita so i don't get why toukiden on vita is so strange for you.

Namco Bandai's been very successful on 3DS, and that's why they're porting a few of their late-era PSP games to it. The company as a whole seems to be moving to porting their last gasp PSP games to other platforms. You have the Idolm@ster PSP trilogy going to iOS (and getting localized just on iOS), Digimon World Re:Digitize going to 3DS, and the One Piece PSP game going to 3DS. I suspect the same will happen to Digimon Adventure, Summon Night 5, and God Eater 2.

I'm gonna be that guy and combo break all the top 5ings, but I've been pondering this one question for quite the while now.
I've long wanted to change my PSN ID for a new one, get a fresh start, new ID, the works. The thing that has held me back until now are trophies and all the games I've purchased on that single account, so I always waited for the ability to at least change the ID itself. But that never happened.
Now with the PS4 announced and it being confirmed not to support any kind of BC - physical nor digital - something dawned on me; is this the time to create a new ID? Trophy information and levels will probably stay intact, but the games themselves aren't accessible, so why bother using the same ID?
However, as a Vita user, I figured this might pose a problem. Cross buy, remote play and whatever else might come down the pipeline would be more difficult to do if one were to run two different accounts on the two systems. This account also holds a bunch of bought games, and with the difficulty of switching accounts on it I kinda figure that using a new account on it would be silly.

But what say you guys? Am I alone in thinking about this? If not, what do you think? Create a new account for the PS4 and use a separate account on the Vita, use a new one on both or just stick with what you got?

How all of this excludes a vita version of gods eater 2?
There will be a 3ds version of ge2? And then what?
And what about toukiden?
Quit the pointless negativity.

1. Gravity Rush
2. Uncharted: Golden Abyss
3. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward
4. LittleBigPlanet Vita
5. Dokuro

I'm playing through Soul Sacrifice right now, and while I was off to a bad start it's really starting to grow on me. The more it unravels itself and the more I figure things out, the better it becomes. I could see it sneaking its way into the top 5 by the time I complete it. I'd put the excellent Guacamelee in there seeing as how it's a Vita game, but I only ever played it on the PS3, so it doesn't seem right to do so. And GR retains the top spot, because it's a gahddamn masterpiece.

I'd imagine there will be a raft of changes/improvements to PSN along with the launch of the PS4. Maybe changing IDs will be one of the services offered? Might be worth waiting a few months to see rather than making a decision now.

Anyone played Quell Memento? Any opinions? It's not available in my EU country yet but it seems kind of interesting and fun.

Namco Bandai doesn't localize Vita games. We've seen that to be the case with the Tales remakes. The only version of GE2 to get localized would be a potential 3DS one.

Toukiden is already confirmed for localization on PSV. I was just saying I'd expect a console version to pop up eventually.

Hmm, that's true. I'd hope for more account manageability. Just seems a bit grim at this point.

I really don't see why the vita version of god eater 2 should be japanese only, at max we have to wait for the burst version.

Dynasty warriors next is still vita exclusive and even if toukiden will be ported to ps3(ps4 is too much) it will be after a long time, so i don't see the problem.

If i remember correctly you were almost sure about the lack of localization of toukiden right? Well... just don't become the new pacther ok? ;)

Wait, did anyone doubt that we'd get it? Tecmo-Koei has been one of Vita's stalwarts as far as localization goes - if we got something as niche as Atelier Plus (even if digital only), we'd definitely get that generic crowd pleaser of multiplayer action game.
