Just remembered a PC game from the late 90's early 00's where you played slightly futuristic helicopter from an almost top down perspective. I don't remember if the gameplay was 2D or if you hade some aircontrol. I recall there being lots of pickups you could get from destroying buildings and enemies. I know there was a crazy smartbomb that in my memory had some crazy terraindeforming effect when it exploded but that could just be me remembering it being cooler than it was.
Sounds like pretty much every helicopter game when I read the description but I know the game was very arcadey and not a sim if anybody has any idea i would appreciate it.
There is a game VERY similar to Zelda with dungeons on the NES but can never remember the name and it depresses me... :[

There was this kind of Idol game on Saturn, where there was this virtual character, you could do music videos with her. Now that I think of it, it was a bit like a retro Hatsune Miku.
Any clue what that game was? I'm pretty sure it was jp only.

SWIV 3D? Nuclear Strike?
This small image might be enough:

When the Wii was fairly new I remember playing a Flash game with the browser and Wiimote that was like this, but on a 3D cube.
http://www.onlinegamesbazar.com/game/flow_free_online
What was that game and website?
I'm going to assume it is hosted on plenty of websites, but is it 3D Logic?
http://www.kongregate.com/games/AlexMatveev/3d-logic
Thanks. That's the right game, but wrong website. The site was designed to use the Wiimote's functionality. I think the game will work regardless. Thanks again.
In another game there was a part where you were going up and down mountains in a mining cart. I think it was a platformer and also might have been for genesis.
SWIV 3D? Nuclear Strike?
I have had another mystery thrown at me by hazy memories.
When viewing the trailer for a new IOS version of Fire & Forget, it struck me :
An old game, I would say Atari ST or Amiga, but I don't rule out other computers or consoles.
You have two gameplay phases. In one of the phases you drive a car (red ?) in a seemingly barren or post apo setting (which is why the Fire & Forget trailer made me remember). But then sometimes you stop the car and in this other phase you control a cop or vigilante trying to arrest some bad guys. IIRC it was a side-scrolling phase.
What irks me is my heart keeps telling me it's Fire & Forget when I see some screens of it, but I can't find ones with the second phase. It is indeed old, have I made up some memories ?
Digital Dance Mix with Namie Amuro - it actually had some really good motion capture and I remember the polygons to be decent
I have a tough one...
My girlfriend remembers a game for PSOne that involved catching babies (weird i know) and says it came with the demo pack in Spyro (Europe).
I never saw the game and she can't remember the name.. help gaf!
there was a shooter on PC i played in the late nineties i think, first person stationary position, you shoot terrorist that pop up, like a the cop shooting range trope kind of thing. i was only 5 or so and i barely remember it. any help would be appreciated
Eraser: Turnabout?
Another one just popped in my mind: Neo Hunter, can't find any gameplay footage of it, just the cover:
I posted this one a while back but never got a response, no doubt due to the vagueness of my childhood memories.
When I lived in the UK I remember passing by a game store and they were playing this video of a side scroller where the main character wore a purple wizard's robe and his head was that of a big yellow smiley face.
This was the PS1 era, and it might have been a Euro only game. Thanks for the help!

I'm looking for a psx game that I played once at a friend's house. It was a platform game where you controlled a gun wielding mouse. I think it was a side scroller with 3d models.
Gaf help.
Thank youuuuuuuuuuu !
So far all I had found was : http://www.mobygames.com/game/outlander
And I was trying to cope with the fact that my memories contained several wrong elements (the platform, the car not being red etc...).
That is indeed Techno Cop. *Bow down*
It's an old 90s WRPG where the game had an otherwise standard medieval fantasy setting but the your main character crashed his spaceship into the place and the AI of said spaceship ends up being the main boss of the game.
Hey guys. I'm trying to remember the name of a PS1 game where you played a cop in a future dystopian world? You basically piloted this hover plane/car thing and shot criminals with a variety of weapons descent style.
Albion?
The main antagonist wasn't a witch but try check Braindead 13.A Dragon Lair like animated FMV PC game taking place in a castle with the enemy being a witch. The protagonist wasn't blond and wore contemporary clothes.

It was G-Police...good find, I had Crime Killer as well and that was awesome.
Edit: That top comment. Damn...
I'm not sure if it was PS1 or PS2, but it was a really epic RPG that was 4 Cds long.
I remember one of the partners in the game, were he wore a completely yellow outfit and used his drums as a weapon.
I think the beginning the main character lived on a mountain, and the final boss for the first or second cd was basically all the characters fighting their evil mirror selves.
The 3rd or 4th CD had a different set of characters, I believe.
The game was great, too bad I'll never remember it again.

Alright, here's a tough one:
Platform: Arcade (not sure if it ever hit a home platform)
Time Frame: Late 80's - early 90's
Theme: Sci-Fi
What I Recall: Side-scrolling action that may have had a "dual layer" screen set up (i.e. action happening on the bottom screen and different action happening on the top screen). It seems that you could select multiple characters if there were more that one player, and the goal of each screen was to get a big, colored key to advance to the next section. The only real specific segment I remember from the game was at the very beginning where the main bad guy (clad in armor and a cape) runs toward a big key and turns toward the camera every so often to laugh at the player. He then grabs the key and disappears behind a door.
Been driving me nuts for years trying to remember it.

The 'different characters if you had more than one player' along with a top/bottom split screen bit kinda puts me in mind of Xenophobe. That doesn't fit with the whole Snidely Whiplash running off with a key bit, though. I'm intrigued in particular by the fact that you used the term 'screens' to describe (what sounds like) a level; I'm trying to get my head around why you'd have a split-screen layout for a game where all the action takes place on one screen, and I suspect figuring out the answer to that would give a big hint as to what the game is.
