8GB GDDR5. I cheered out loud at that announcement.

As for games, Deep Down with Infamous: Second Son and Knack as runner-ups.

Edit: As for #10, Dark Cloud 3, hearing that Level-5 is making a PS4 game gives me hope.

#10 (Dream PS4 game unlikely to happen): Legend of Dragoon remake or sequel please!

#9 (Favourite announcement at PS4 reveal): Sony's killer montages

I only wish PS4 / Vita had "Save state" features like the PSPgo had...

Where you could exit a game in a certain state, then open another game, save its state, then resume back to the previous game...

Why was this feature dropped on the Vita? it was amazing

Favorite feature and overall thing was the video sharing stuff. I've been wanting that for a while and I think it's going to be a big part of what defines next-gen (on both platforms).

In terms of games, Deep Down definitely had the biggest impact if it counts. Shadow Fall looked ok, Knack looked very interesting.

The features are actually what stood out to me most at the February reveal.

My favorite was definitely the opening montage. That was the best montage I have ever seen in my life for anything. It tugged on all the nostalgia and hyped me out to where no one has gone before. What a moment!

inFamous Second Son.

Seriously, inFamous 2 is highly underrated. It's the best open-world game this gen. Totally addictive.

If you know how to play around with the tools, you're good to go.

I remember tethering a car and pulling it to the rooftop, then throwing it at the enemy on the next building's rooftop.

Okay guys, 9 Days to go. Thought I'd come up with a list of 10 topics (one per day) we can all post about until E3 gets here.

Basically, what your favorite 'thing' from the February 20 Playstation Meeting?

This would include:
-Knack
-Killzone: Shadow Fall
-Driveclub
-inFamous: Second Son
-The Witness
-deep down
-Agni's Philosophy tech demo
-Watch Dogs
-Diablo III
-Destiny
-Media Molecule creative/tech demo
-Quantic Dream old man tech demo

You can also answer with any other announcements like 8GB GDDR5, Share/Stream, suspend/resume, play as you download, new controller, etc.

Pick only 1 thing.

It was clear who the winner was.

But everything was good. Knack surprised me, Killzone was great (I love the MP but despise the SP of the series), Deep Down was jaw dropping, basically everything except Destiny, which I don't care for since I thought that was a ****y reveal. Personally. Might be a good game too though.

For someone whos been waiting since 2011 for them [Sucker Punch] to announce Infamous 3. You don't know how happy I was to know that Sucker Punch didn't move away from the franchise.

They manage to continue my favorite franchise while doing new things within it. MAXIMUM HYPE.

For me it was Knack. This past generation we saw such a convergence of game designs, where every other game was either an FPS or an Uncharted clone, because those were deemed as "safe." I was happy to see a colorful, cartoony, character platformer being put front and center during the conference, and I really hope it delivers at launch.

Same for me, Wish I could have experienced that in person.

Since it won't be televised, where or how is everyone watching the E3 presentation? I'm thinking maybe IGN or Gametrailers for myself, mainly for their post-conference reactions. While the PSBlog one (I assume there will be one) will probably get the first (and best) interviews, I feel their reactions will obviously be very positive regardless of the conference's outcome. Thankfully my TV is also my computer monitor, so I can sit back and enjoy. I just hope it doesn't stop to buffer too often.

I'd say Infamous Second Son because it was quite a change from what I expected.

Ha, I was messing around in Infamous 2 and Festival of Blood last week for fun.

I kept zapping a car until the physics got all messed up and it lost all friction and looked like GTA 4 with the no friction mod.

It started colliding with everything against the buildings and streets.

Also fun is in Festival of Blood and just BLASTING INTO A GROUP OF PEOPLE. Then a bunch of first-borns come out to play. I don't even care. Those guys are fun and man I had fun with some glitches too.

I unloaded all the rockets, boom, cloud of smoke everywhere. When the dust finally cleared up I see the first-born. Somehow, the first-born got stuck ontop of a telephone booth and turned completely unhostile. It was waggling its feet trying to get out. I had a good time laughing at it while it kept waggling trying to break free of it.

Ahhh... open world glitches.

Having some fun in RDR, too bad people on MP don't share the glitches with everyone. Met this guy who could freeze peoples PS3s. Good thing I befriended him because he actually knows how to freeze the game for people who piss him off and lock him up.

I made him lock up some kid who was annoying me.

Ready at Dawn's new game will have a multiplayer component:

lol hopefully it's not for XBone....would be a big wtf for me. As a Lankan I am proud to see Weerasuriya doing some amazing work.

Exactly. The last 6 years have been an absolute joke looking back their output.

To be fair, their handheld work were great. Crisis Core is easily one of my most favorite gaming experiences of the gen...F them for not bringing Type-0 over to vita tho :(

inFAMOUS Second Son..hands and pants down..easily. BIG fan of the franchise and the setting, new powers, visuals are all so damn exciting to me

Shadow Fall is a close second..but I have my doubts about GG's ability to nail the single player campaign, especially after KZ3 -_- What a missed opportunity that was. Great setting, interesting characters, solid plot...but the story was told in such a bad way it messed up the whole thing! sigh

oh and dunno if you guys saw this but Destiny posted the following pic and question in their FB page

"Which species of invaders will you defend the city against?"

I look forward to seeing more of this game, if for nothing else just for the setting/story alone

The share button. As simple as it is, I get tons of use out of the screenshot feature on my Vita. And on top of that I can record video retroactively of glitches or funny or unusual events? Count me in.

I'll be out of class at 8:45 ET, and the conference will start in just 15 minutes. I really hope they stay open until 11 o clock or so, so I can watch the whole thing. Going home takes 40 mins, so that's not an option. One good thing is that the connection at the school will be 100MB/s since it's summer time and no one's gonna be there that late.

Agni's Philosophy. It warmed me up to the possibilities of RPG's on the PS4.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but did Sony confirm that they will spend some time showing Vita titles? Last year made me very disappointed, but their presence on the show floor made up for it.

The "please be excited for the next upcoming Final Fantasy title" by Hashimoto.

No seriously.

Completely agree.

Even while his stage time was lame (although we got a great meme from it), the fact that one of the top SE guys flew half across the globe to show support for Sony and the PS4 was amazing.

Who knows.

Also, last year they pretty much focused on Vita at Gamescom (which actually is bigger than E3 in terms of people attending).

So yeah, Sony goes to E3, Gamescom, and TGS. There'll be something for Vita somewhere there.

I know we joke a lot about it but 8GB GDDR5 was the megaton of the Meeting for me. It not only silenced years of naysayers and pessimists but imo showed Sony's hunger into getting back to the top of the food chain. I think they can do it.

#9 (Favourite announcement at PS4 reveal): Sony's killer montages

My favorite was definitely the opening montage. That was the best montage I have ever seen in my life for anything. It tugged on all the nostalgia and hyped me out to where no one has gone before. What a moment!

Yup, Playstation Ethos was quite the montage.

I watched the reveal using the Gametrailers stream and I had little to no hiccups, so I'll use it again for this.

This. The simple face that my current GPU (which is fucking badass) only has 2GB of GDDR5 = Kabooom status for the PS4... EIGHT! 8GB!

I think Vita remote play is one of the most exciting things about PS4 for me. There are some games I'd rather play on portables for some reason or another (platformers, RPGs, etc.) and being able to play them all on the OLED... it's a wonderful thing and it makes a Vita purchase so worth it for me when I get one.

Not to mention that the signal will almost undoubtedly be better than the WiiUs 10 feet, thanks to remote play working through WiFi (yes?)

The share button. As simple as it is, I get tons of use out of the screenshot feature on my Vita. And on top of that I can record video retroactively of glitches or funny or unusual events? Count me in.

Yep it's a great idea. It's the kind of feature that can create communities/trends around it

DemonNite is slacking off. No gif for "9 days". Come on DemonNite!! ;P

Edit: I would pay good money to even see a screenshot of Versus right now. Yes I am that desperate for a Nomura Final Fantasy. :]

Share features. The ability to take screens and video at will with the control mechanism built directly into the controller and no performance penalty is huge. I'm going to use that shit all the time. The Share feature is one of the most next gen applications of tech and will be a huge boon to discussing games.

Obviously I'm someone who cares a lot about game content and tech specs but I also care a lot about gaming communities and being able to show, and not just tell, will add a lot of spark to GAF and other gaming discussions. It's the type of social feature that isn't shoehorned in and will add a lot to gaming culture as a whole.

8GB GDDR5 was imo the best announcement at the February event. It is a huge thing for the longevity of the console and the comfort of development. Also cements the PS4 as *clearly* the superior hardware (alongside the extra GPU power).

I can totally understand how someone would say the whole 'Frictionless' nature of the PS4 is more important for the market in general though (secondary chip for background downloads, suspend/resume, play game while downloading).

Thirdly, the extremely impressive Share functionality and streaming knocked the socks off core gamers.

that's true. They also tend to announce stuff out of the blue. I'm staying hopeful it doesn't get fully neglected. I mean the Americans need to know why they'd buy this amazing machine over an iPad or something.

Well, there were many awesome showings, but I suppose Killzone: Shadow Fall impressed me the most.

Shadow Fall impressed me with it's music, art style, graphics and the possibilities of the two sides being divided by a mere wall. The contrast in tone could be epic.
