Konami isn't going to support wiiu at all and BG&E2 won't debut during an ndirect :-(

Well the Konami thing is based off that Miiverse game list.

And BG&E2 is just there because I couldn't think of anything, and I didn't want to go too crazy with it lol.

Anyone post this yet?

No idea if its legit, but the <2mins on 3rd party is hilarious.

SSB being named "New SSB" would be typical Nintendo.

e: one page back and fake apparently.

Debunked, ridiculed and please stop posting as it is fake and will derail thread. Thanks. Was on page 36/7

So, apparently all three Sonic games are coming this year. From a Nintendo of Germany PR:

Untranslated (does someone have a better translation lol?):

In his latest plot to defeat Sonic and rule the world, Dr. Eggman has harnessed the power of six menacing creatures known as the Deadly Six. However, when the Deadly Six rise up against their new master, Sonic must unite with his arch nemesis Eggman and explore the mystical Lost Hex in order to take them on head-to-head. Use Sonic’s amazing new moves and incredible Color Powers to speed across a variety of unique terrains, racing inside, outside and upside down in every level.
I like the sound of this, it sounds different.

looks fake, i doubt they'd just slap such a broad label "Mario Games" on their own stuff

9 Days feels like so long.

I don't think 9 days is that bad, but people feel different with the times depend on what they are doing.

If you need something to kill the time, you can come up with character roster list for SSB4 prediction contest. GAF's SSB4 Prediction Contest

:P

I don't like that we are split between two hype-threads right now :P

Which thread? I think our hype thread got split into many thread so it's not big deal once you are tracking the threads. For example, we are hyping up for SSB4 at SSB4 community thread.

So being able to "miss the ball" is supposed to be fun in a Wii Sports-follow up? That has use in a golf sim, not in a simplified golf game suitable to the Wii Sports-formula.

It's painfully obvious you don't get what made Wii Sports successful. If you can't figure out how making a golfing experience more intuitive and realistic can be "fun" or "better" then why are we even having this conversation? Bowling is the most popular Wii Sports game because it is an extremely accurate replica of the sport made easy to play. Yes, having to actually be accurate with your swing and the way you hit the ball effecting the trajectory of the ball is a huge addition.

As for the rest, I feel like you're repeating yourself. I'm not ignoring anything, I am dismissing the tech demos from 2011 as not suitable for a Wii Sports sequel. You keep making the point that fun motion-based games exist which has no bearing on our discussion since I never said that they don't or couldn't. I'm saying Wii Sports doesn't work on Wii U because it focuses on entirely different kinds of controllers with the Wiimote being perfect for "move around a lot" sports and the GamePad not really fitting into that picture (aside from the very limited range of examples provided earlier).

I'm repeating myself because you are ignoring the facts provided and keep hanging on to this thought that the Gamerpad being the center of the WiiU somehow makes a new WiiU Sports title not "workable". What evidence have you provided for this besides your opinion? None.

Now that we've both explained the same thing three or four times without bringing anything new to the discussion, let's just move on. Remember, you have your free rub-it-in pass.

If you are going to completely dismiss (without reason) everything new I bring to the discussion then what is the point? Somehow patents and gameplay videos from demos don't matter anymore in proving that a game exists.

Anyways, here is something new:

http://youtu.be/_3RkNcKDs68

That is a link to the original WiiU reveal with WiiU Sports footage. Outside of the Zelda tech demo at the end (the Wii zapper game turned into a photo game in Game & Wario, ninja star in NintendoLand), everything shown has become real with the WiiU in some shape or fashion. You have yet to address why everything else became real but WiiU Sports somehow won't.

Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort sold a combined 114 million copies. Given how (comparatively) cheap it would be, Nintendo would have to be god damned insane not to make a sequel.

You have also failed to address the above (I 100% agree Thraktor) which is the Wii Sports series selling out-of-this-world well.

Wii Sports U, Wii Fit U, NSMB U, Game & Wario were all initially presented as working prototypes during the early Wii U unveil. They aren't graphical tech demos in the sense that the bird and Zelda were. Nintendo's programming teams are rather notorious for developing games in this matter.

In 2012 several patents were discovered by the Wii Sports Resort programmers that looked pertinent to a Wii Sports U. It doesn't mean the game will be released or appear vastly different than initially conceived, but the signs point it to be a very real product.

Why wouldn't you want to see more of two awesome games releasing soon after?
I like seeing games being presented. I'll take that over OMGZ ANNOUNCEMENTS releasing in 2014.

I'd love a sizzle reel of summer games as long as its 2 minutes and Iwata says "for more information on these games, check out the Nintendo Direct from 2 weeks ago".

Do we know if this will be first party only? IIRC, they usually do separate directs for first party/Nintendo published games and 3rd party.

? No they don't.

edit: Wii Sports talk is over. It's either happening or not, tired of discussing this. It's up to Iwata now.

Done with my Bingo Card.

Note that the Lloyd Irving box does not mean Tales of Symphonia HD on Wii U but that Lloyd Irving is gonna be in the new Smash Bros.

EDIT: I just noticed I didn't put any Wii _____ stuff anywhere. Probably a mistake. They will probably talk about Wii Fit U and Wii Party U.

Should have had Jackie Chan's uncle from the cartoon for the "One More Thing" box. :p

? No they don't.

You're right I guess, they've shown 3rd party stuff for the 3DS. I was thinking about the WiiU, there just weren't any 3rd party games to show lol. Then there is a chance for surprises, maybe the games on that leaked debug menu are real and FF3 means a remake of FFVI!

What would make you think that?

given that no details about the demo were ever given and that Takamaru just kinda started popping up out of nowhere. The two being related doesn't seem out of the question. Samurai | Japanese garden, no they aren't mutually exclusive but seem like a fit.

Well, there's Scribblenauts Unmasked as far as console exclusives go. Who knows if they have surprises to announce. Maybe they even get to debut a multiplatform title for once.

At the very least they could throw Arkham Origins, Watch Dogs, CoD: Ghosts and AssCreed IV into a sizzle reel.

iirc it's the mario kart 7 puzzle from streetpass plaza

Wait what? Are puzzles animated once they are completed?
