that's true about the IRC and twitter. gah, I'd just rather follow gaf before I take the exam. maybe when I get back home I'll go on black out and just watch the direct myself sorting through the mayhem and meltdown threads later.

It's pretty crazy that I might be playing Wind Waker HD in a little over a week. I just can't wait to see that in motion. I know there's a topic for this already, but the demos will probably be Mario, The Wonderful 101, Wind Waker, and Pikmin 3. I'm not much of a Pikmin fan, so I'll definitely be playing the other three (assuming I guessed correctly). All of the Best Buy demo games are supposedly 2013 games.

Will there new one this year?
I would imagine so.

It's true. I mean, E3 is a once in a life-time event, and if Nintendo were able to provide an event featuring all that plus LttP 2, Earthbound, Mario & Luigi 4, etc, it would have been legendary, but this is clearly the superior marketing module. Every month I have something to look forward to, even if it isn't much, but I haven't really been this adamant to own Nintendo products since I was a little kid. Perhaps their software line-up has become more attractive to me since the Wii, but I really think that they're knocking it out of the park as far as selling their games to die-hard fans with Nintendo Directs. I honestly wouldn't have noticed the release of the Oracles without 'em, and probably wouldn't be interested in owning Earthbound if they didn't mention it.

Indeed. Maybe two years ago we'd come out of this E3 learning about all the new stuff in one big gulp, but at the same time, it doesn't leave much room for smaller announcements to get noticed like they might be when spread out over months.

I think with this E3 they need to show that a) They can deliver the games they've promised for 2013 and b) that the Wii U has games coming next year.

While the current 'drought' is unfortunate, if it means that they can keep momentum up going into next year, I'll forgive them in the end. Even if it's been incredibly lop-sided, the second half of 2013 will be big (and for 3DS as well).

Assuming Nintendo releases one game per month for 8-10 months of 2014, we potentially already know nearly half of line-up.

2012:
Nintendo Land
Sing Party
NSMBU

2013:
Game & Wario
Lego City Undercover
Pikmin 3
Wii Fit U
Wii Party U
WWHD
Mario 3D
Mario Kart
The Wonderful 101

2014:
X
Bayonetta 2
Smash Bros. 4
Yarn Yoshi
SMT X FE
???Wii Sports U
???Retro's Game

2015:
???LoZ
???Animal Crossing

We'll likely see new Kirby, a Pokemon spin-off, Donkey Kong, Mario Party, Paper Mario, and Mario Sports Game at some point during the conole's lifetime too.

Now we just need a Metroid/Star Fox/F-Zero game on the Wii U for next year, or at least going into 2015.

Hey man, e3 ain't THAT important lol.
Well I always take some of my exams early, and I end school in may so E3 is a non factor. Say I have a exam on tuesday, theres probably the same class going on the day before same time and everything that the professor will let me sit in there that time to take the exam so I wouldnt have to go to school the next day.

better get a major console kid icarus

25 more years. Though I'd love to see a new one, Sakurai would probably need some downtime after Smash, and I can't see it being handled as well as Uprising was by anyone else. I'd still be all for a new Earthbound/Icarus without Itoi/Sakurai regardless.

Any chance to get surprise direct day before E3(like last year)? Would definitely like to see new Wave race(it would be a good show off for Wii U capabilities like it was for N64).

Also have crazy thinking that Retro is working on 2 games (Metroid+new IP) since DKCR was released 3 years ago.

he looks kinda ambitious to me. the whole breaking off of nintendo to do project sora and shit. hard workers never give up. i bet his project after smash will be something absolutely huge, the greatest and biggest game he's ever made.

Excellent idea. A Kid Icarus and Pokemon crossover would be wonderful to say the least! It would be like the Metroid/Star Fox crossover rumor but with Pit and a Clefairy teaming up to take down Medusavanni.

On that note, does anyone find it suspicious that Nintendo decided to include one 3DS game silhouette amongst a bunch of Wii U ones? Clearly, they must be planning to port Mario and Luigi: Dream Team to the Wii U in the near or distant future.

As for F-Zero and Star Fox, Takaya Imamura has been involved in just about every game in both series (if not every single one). He's a Director in EAD No. 5 (the Wii Fit team) and his last two projects were direction on Steel Diver and coordinating with Q-Games Star Fox 64 3D. I have a feeling that if there's a new F-Zero or Star Fox he will be involved in some way. Either EAD will take some development responsibility, or like his last 2 projects, they'll coordinate with another outside company.

A few nights ago I had a dream in which a Kirby 3DS got announced through a Nintendo Direct, and they even showed footage!!!! If they really show Kirby I will lose my shit, not because I want it that bad, but because I might have super powers.

This is not the first time I have a dream about NDs btw. -_-

I dont think whoever programmed the site would know about the contents of the ND or Nintendos plans.

From now on, describe all your ND dreams in this thread. I mean we taken rumors from worse sources before.

That's what they want you to think. Nintendo is as cunning as a cat. You never know when they are going to unleash an explosive hairball of incredible proportions, as they are very capable of surprising you when you least expect it.

I can't, I signed a NDA while in my dream. :p
I think it wasn't a traditional Kirby since it seemed to make use of both screens
but it's not that clear anymore, I've always had a very hard time remembering details about dreams -_-

Iwata himself programmed it and its full of cryptic hints.

How could that possibly be allowed? They would have to make two separate tests just so you could take it a day early, which they of course won't do.

It is a bit of a shame, but can you imagine how painful the last 5 months would have been without that announcement/the January Wii U Direct?

-No confirmation of Smash, Mario Kart, 3D Mario
-No X
-No Yarn Yoshi
-No Wind Waker HD
-And worst of all, no Wii Party U.

Meh. That's still not enough for me. I want friggin bombs to be dropped. What are we, 6 months into the Wii U? In comparison to the last few Nintendo consoles, I've barely played the thing. Nintendo needs to do something both insanely awesome and completely unexpected. Wind Waker HD is a very nice surprise, but Nintendo can do even better, like resurrect a old game series like Mario Paint or make a new Ice Climbers game. Or just something totally new, whatever.

KiRBY into Dreams: the third Sega X Nintendo game. Believe.

anyone remember HOT OR NOT? threads on the Nintendo Gamecube general board on IGN? Oh man those were fun times. Matt casssmamsmsssaa would always post a picture before the conference of something that would be announced. I just realized that I've been watching Nintendo's e3 live for over 10 years now. Always got out of school, work.

Do you want games released now or do you want games announced that are 1+ years away?

At the moment we have a pretty decent idea of what Nintendo will be doing with the Wii U, software wise, for the next 18 months. Maybe 60%~70% (at least in name).

2013:
Game & Wario
Lego City Undercover
Pikmin 3
Wii Fit U
Wii Party U
WWHD

Of course, there are always potential 3rd party surprises, but from 1st party, I doubt there'll be significantly more than than this before holiday 2014.

What are the chances that some info leaks on a few of these games before the direct? Normally I'd say zero but with best buy getting the demos for four of the games I think it's possible that some stuff could leak. Really I guess it depends on when they actually receive the demos but if they get them before next Tuesday I think we could see some leaks.

2 of the same class its just mine is at a different time of the week. They're all the same test just given out at different time. A class cant be overloaded witg students so theres more than 1 group. You get it?

You mean there's something wrong with announcing games that are more than a year away? I'm not saying I won't buy any of those games, just that I'm hoping Nintendo announces something really unexpected, same as everyone else.

Not saying there's something inherently wrong with announcing games like that but if your complaint is that there is nothing to play now, those sort of announcements aren't going to help much.

How can they prevent the later class to learn the questions from the first class ?

if sony's launch lineup is mostly just stuff at the reveal - which wasn't bad, but not much interested me - im hoping this will bring me back around, even if its just aonuma showing WW HD and zelda next with PLEASE UNDERSTAND AND BE EXCITE

They dont. If someone is sneaky and taking the pictures or writing them down for someone in a later class I guess it could be very useful lol. How would they get those questions though? You dont have notes and its on the computer in which the teacher is monitoring everyones computer. So you have no reason to have pen and paper out.
