Why would Joffrey or Balon want to take down Walder Frey? They'd probably both be ecstatic at what he did.

Or were you referring to Stannis?

Yeah sorry, Stannis named 3 people when throwing the kingsblood leeches on the fire:

"The usurper Robb Stark, the usurper Balon Greyjoy, the usurper Joffrey Baratheon"

*Fingers crossed hoping Joffrey dies a horrible death soon*

I have a feeling Tyrion is going to kill Joffrey at one point. He was more than ready to do so on at his wedding

I've been expecting Joffrey to die since season 1, he just isn't the type to stick around for the endgame. Little Finger is shaping up to be the primary antagonist in the Seven Kingdoms, and he's a much smarter man then Joffrey.

Joffrey being offed would certainly soften this last episode's blow.

I know the hot topic is the Red Wedding, but the Jon and Bran scenes were nice too. When he abandoned Ygritte... Her expression was priceless. I'm sure she's pretty pissed off. The hawk's attack was nice too, even though it seemed like bad cgi. Nevertheless, I liked it. I hope it didn't hurt Jon's eyes. And I hope that Oriel died, worst character introduced in thisseason. As for Bran, pretty interesting ability. Imagine controlling something more clever like a normal human. Cool.

Imagine if he had Jon's ability to fight and he was controlling Hodor, damn.

Walder right now:

Joffrey can't die yet, he needs to do a whole lot more damage. Also I want Arya to assassinate him after she trains in Bravos.

While I laid in bed for 3 hours unable to sleep, I kept trying to drown out the thoughts with Billy Idol but changed the lyrics to "Red Wedding". It was soothing somehow... :P

I have a feeling that Blackfish got lucky and survived that massacre. Maybe Rob should have gone to take a piss too.... and his wife.... and his mom. :(

Well if characters are really getting offed by Heavenly interventions then by Stannis' curse we have

Rhllor The Lord of light against
1 old Gods(north)
2 God of seven(southerners)
3 Gods of iron islands. (don't remember wat they r called)

Old gods didn't help Starks this time.
Lets see what other Gods can do to save Joffery And Balon.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly.

Haven't read the books, and just finished watching it myself. I'm kinda in shock still at what just happened.

I knew something was up when the music changed and all that, but... I didn't realize it would be THAT bad. Like wow.

Yep. It's been a long time I shouted at the TV which didn't involve sports.

This show is amazing.

For fuck's sake Sean Bean dies so much that his character's metaphorical reincarnation dies even before it's born! Fuck!

Finally got to watch it, and that was one crazy episode. I knew it was going to be crazy when I saw the thread out on the main forums about reactions. I had to steer clear of it. Unfortunately I can't watch live since my wife works way late on Sundays, so I had to lay low from internet spoilers until about an hour ago.

I kind of knew Robb was going to bite it soon anyway. He was following the same sort of arc as Ned, and I'm pretty sure I pointed that out here much earlier in the thread.

Dany's getting more OP, too, so that's interesting. Jorah's really not liking Dario, either, and I wonder where that's going to go.

This season has been one of the best in TV series History. Destroys all of season 2, rivals Sopranos. Maybe surpasses it. not sure. Only time will tell.

The order Stannis named them in was: Robb, Baylon, Joffrey.

I'm guessing Baylon eats it next.

I wonder how Baylon dies, he doesn't really have any big enemies where he's sitting right now, and it's not like Robb's death was a result of the curse, this had been in the plans.

It will be interesting to see how Littlefinger responds to the death of the woman he loves. I wouldn't like to be the people responsible for that massacre.

Ive said this so many times, and everyone ignores me. Look at post history, I must have said it 4 times.

CNN just had something up about the ratings being monster. Anyone have numbers?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

I'm sitting here with a broken IKEA coffee table and catching feelings right now.

Fuck man! Why am I so invested in this?

I FUCKING LOVED ROBB!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Did you actually break furniture while watching?

That thread is in bad taste, now anyone who was planning on watching GoT knows something big is going to happen in episode 9 of Season 3 if they happen to be browsing Off-Topic.

3 seasons in and the starks continue to get bent over and fucked

season 4 better open with jaqen evening the odds a bit, its gone on long enough

Got the ending spoiled because I had to clean up spoilers ITT.

Thanks a lot, book readers >:3

The Drowned God

I wonder if the gods "if they now exist" will have some saying later about Frey´s betrail of one of the oldest and most sacred tradition in Westeros.

The guest right is a sacred law of hospitality. When a guest, be he common born or noble, eats the food and drinks the drink off a host's table beneath the host's roof, the guest right is invoked. Bread and salt are the traditional provisions.

When invoked, neither the guest can harm his host nor the host harm his guest for the length of the guest's stay. For either to do so would be to break a sacred covenant that is believed to invoke the wrath of the Gods both old and new. Both the teachings of the Old Gods and the Faith of the Seven hold to this. Even robber lords and wreckers are bound by the ancient laws of hospitality.

Does anyone want to add this line for their future wedding? " you may now cloak the bride and bring her under your protection"

I want to cloak my bride!!!!!!!

I'd recommend that people go watch the Doctor Who episode "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship". It stars Walder Frey's actor David Bradley as a murderous trader, and... well, in light of this recent episode, it's pretty satisfying.

man, for whatever reason the last time I felt something while watching TV was the ending of the first episode of The Killing (which then proceeded to suck for every episode afterwards). The Red Wedding didn't do anything for me at all except making me appreciate the craftsmanship behind the scene, I thought the whole thing was sort of funny really

I want to cloak my bride!!!!!!!

Why would you tempt fate and recreate ANY part of that wedding? Add that line and you might be getting other part of the wedding too. That's what I learned from this episode...The gods are cruel!
