Hmm, not working for me then, I'll just look at a cached version of it. =/

As for your point, I think people feel that Nintendo won't introduce something like a new dungeon and stuff. I don't think anyone will deny that they won't make improvements to Wind Waker like with the UI and sailing.

Personally, I think it would be wonderful if we got at least 1 new dungeons, with 4 new ones being the perfect amount for me (Nayru's Pearl, 3 Triforce pieces).

Replaying through Wind Waker at the moment and changing wind direction isn't as cumbersome as people make it out to be, but that could be because I know where I'm going. I also hope they change gameplay to match Twilight Princess' which I think nailed the sword combat (without motion controls).

I dont think a new dungeon is unrealistic. I do think new content iis guaranteed to some degree. Maybe not a lot but I think more than OO3d got because this is from the main Zelda team and not a 2.nd party.

I'd like WW's combat but with TP's being able to swing your sword while running.

I hope you don't mind me editing this, wanted to add one thing.

Yea I think their track record speaks for the inclusion of new actual gameplay content. They never just fart something out (unless it's a Wario game).

I completely agree about the sword combat, I loved the pre-SS style (also SS's combat). Wouldn't mind if they brought that in line with TP as well.

Yea, and one of them has to lift the limit on PictoBox pictures. 3 is not enough lol.

Good point. And in a retrospect, OoT had little flaws when compared to Wind Waker and considering the latter was rushed, I'm sure the Zelda Team would love to have a go at fixing them.

I'd like WW's combat but with TP's being able to swing your sword while running.

I feel like Wind Waker's combat isn't as dynamic as TP's when doing combos. But that could be me being picky due to having so much trouble with the Swordmaster guy and trying to hit him 500 times without doing it carefully.

The dungeons in WW are so bad, they really don't need to randomly rush in another one. It would be more important to add in content on the sea, hence sailing isn't that much of a chore anymore.

It's gonna be quite laughable if they don't enhance this more properly than OoT, since Aonuma certainly can not deny the huge flaws of this game for which he even had to apologize himself. Insta-wind changing on the gamepad is the minimum.

In a desperate last effort, Iwata sacrifices himself to deliver that which could save us all.

The Last Bomb, coming to an E3 near you.

Amazing :)

I liked Wind Waker's subtle combat options. When you held the Control Stick in certain directions, Link would perform different moves. It was more of an aesthetic thing, though, if I recall correctly.

Twilight Princess's skills were interesting, but I think I'd like deeper combat. I like the idea of skills and being able to equip them. A little like Sonic Generations for even Sonic and the Black Knight. However, I know that's not what Zelda is all about.

Still, I hope for multiple ways to tackle and enemy, such as throwing a bomb at a Deku Baba or cutting off its stem with the Beetle in Skyward Sword. Speaking of Skyward Sword, I really liked all of the different variances of enemies. I loved the Cursed Bokoblins in Skyward Sword and how they reacted to the Sacred Shield. Ancient Cistern is still one of the most memorable dungeons I've ever gone through in Zelda.

Ha! Nice, it took me a minute to figure out what you did. I'll add that.

Edit: Done. :)

That's awesome, way better than what I did.

Hmm, I thought TP also had that combo option? I guess I didn't remember properly.

Someone should photoshop Iwata's fake sneaking from the bushes.

I tried to get Iwata in there, but it didn´t work out too well. There is to much Reggie in the jungle to fit something else....It would be quite a task to find a jungle image to fit as extension...

My memory is also quite cloudy. I don't remember anything like that in Twilight Princess, but I might be wrong. I do remember being able to perform weird, spinning, rising slashes with Link in Wind Waker (not the variant in which he jumps), and he'll also throw in a Spin Attack at the end. Or something like that. On another note, I hope Jump Attacks do twice the damage again.

Combat has gotten really interesting in the big console Zelda games since its GCN debut. I just spent some time thinking where you could go with it, considering the obvious problem that you can't just do Skyward Sword again and neither can you completely ignore the neat little things it introduced. One of my scenarios had you play without sword and maybe even shield for a significant portion of the game, relying entirely on other items like the bow or whatever new thing you come up with. Maybe even some improv-bo-fighting with sturdy Deku Sticks? Anyway, that would certainly be interesting (not sure if it would be "fun" though^^).

Just thinking about this reminds me why Zelda is one of the most fascinating, most varied and generally most amazing game series ever.

Guy on the left looks like Koizumi. You know, the guy who should be in charge of Zelda, no offense to Aonuma.

Speaking of Zelda, some of you brought up earlier that the cut content from Wind Waker likely showed up in altered form in Twilight Princess.

However, recalling this: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/news250705zelda I don't think they would put out the Wind Waker simply as-is without doing any work to address their own criticisms of the game. Aonuma even had the UI for OoT 3D retooled to improve navigation in the Water Dungeon, again, fixing a major issue of the original.

At the very least, we can assume the Triforce Hunt has been retooled. And someone suggested that a Boss Rush mode has been added to the game. Wind Waker also has a New Game Plus mode in the original game where not much is changed other than your outfit, that you can read the Hylian language and that you start out with the PictoBox DX. I hope they maybe tweak the difficulty to make it a little harder or at least up the damage output from enemies and reduce support item drops like in Skyward Sword's Hero Mode.

If something happens in the dungeon department probably depends entirely on how much time they had with this updated version. I would hope they either added original designs of the ones left out or retooled the existing ones for the NG+ mode.

All we can say for sure is that they WILL be adding something. Every re-release of a prior game has had new content of some form. Mostly it was one entirely new dungeon.

I bet they're rushing through Wind Waker HD due to poor Wii U sales (sound familiar???) and won't have any notable extras added to the game =(

All that would make me quite happy. Despite its beauty, Wind Waker just never clicked with me. It's the only 3D Zelda I didn't really like.

They committed to the Fall release before we really had known about how bad the Wii U was doing. The ND went live on January 23rd and there barely was sales data by that time aside from the strong launch numbers. They had to greenlight it a while ago, knowing full well they'd need something Zelda-related to keep people happy soon. They didn't just start messing around with this in November or so.

I remain optimistic. All the other options are unnecessarily depressing.

The more days pass the farther I see the 11th. I can't fucking wait. Every free partition of my brain has been busy guessing what the hell will happen that day.

That actually sounds like a really interesting scenario as long as it wouldn't be a strictly stealth mission. Something like the Gerudo Fortress in Ocarina of Time could be nice. It could encourage a more thoughtful approach just by including a large number of enemies. Without a proper weapon, you probably don't want to rush in. You might pick at them from afar with a bow. Then, once they are alerted to your presence, you can plant a bomb and run away to another location. I really enjoyed the Hidden Village portion of Twilight Princess. It was fun sniping at the Bokoblins with the Hawkeye since it was more difficult (from what I remember) than running in, even with a blade.

I'm still bitter about this. I'm going to request Koizumi input on Miiverse. My voice will be heard.

Edit: I did it just for kicks. Nobody probably knows who Koizumi is on Miiverse.

I am convinced that we are going to see a new Metroid game in eight days:

Super Metroid (what many consider to be the best in the series) being offered for 30 cents DURING E3 is just too much for me to completely ignore.

So who is developing it?

But it isn't the only SNES game. Look F-Zero is on there too.

RETRO!

Well, probably not, they have done a lot of Metroid projects in the last while, although the idea of them doing a 2D Metroid is too much for me to simply ignore. :(

Im not sure I about an Aonuma Mario, but I would adore a Koizumi Zelda. 100% with you. I at least hope they use some of his mechanics on the next Zelda. Just hint tvs (or what they were called in galaxy 2) would eliminate the need for a super slow toturial opening. Optional toturials.

That's the spirit buddy!

And it's Retro. Retro are developing it.

Team ninja doing it again.

btw atleast retro acknowledges E3. I sent them a fb message a couple days saying, "E3 is coming :)" and they replied today saying, "Yes, it is."

Nah. first spot on that list is clearly the first priority. HD Baloon Fight, developed by retro studios. A post-oil scifi dystopia where the massive abandoned cityscapes are without power. You find a jackpot of helium in an abandoned building and use balloons as your only means of navigation.
