Pure 3D platforming. With a charming artstyle and gorgeous soundtrack. And some collectibles. Just some.
True, I was just thinking Wii U though. Naturally 3D Land also falls beautifully into that category.

I would say Galaxy 2 does too. To a large degree anyway.
NO! Keep adventure for Zelda, Mario is about good old platforming, like Galaxy 1 and 2 and 3D Land.

I don't want to see DLC at all. DLC in a fighting game is just asking for an imbalanced clusterfuck.
And with figurines, they're going to have to charge even more because of plastic and physical packaging. If the content is only available via NFC, it's just an excuse to sell more plastic junk. I don't need a plastic doll of the Ice Climbers. I just want a balanced video game with the amount of content Sakurai is known for.

I don't think they are doing that anytime soon. Miverse 3ds will just like pc, log in and read. Maybe a new nnid for 3ds owners, but no unified anything.
I don't think anyone wants Mario to run through a Hyrule Field equivalent.

There is probably at least one more E3 presentation planned for next week that they haven't announced yet. Could be what they always do, a "developer roundtable" on Tuesday evening, and a 3DS showcase the following night. Just because they're doing a Direct instead of a press conference doesn't mean the other ways they talk about things at E3 are also being replaced.

We've heard enough about how Nintendo works over the years to know that this isn't entirely true. NCL has some very outdated notions about stuff like this, true, but NoA, for example, is continually pushing for changes in that regard. The way their online presences has evolved from the dark days of WiiWare, etc are a massive leap forwards and show that Nintendo isn't just "being Nintendo" with everything. They are slow but you also have to consider that they can't just flip a switch and everything magically works. "Using your Club Nintendo account" sounds incredibly easy and obvious to us. It probably also sounds just like that to them but you have to consider that the way these systems were originally build, they might not be compatible and bringing everything under one umbrella might take a lot of work. Nevermind the fact that Club Nintendo doesn't even exist in all countries Nintendo officially sell their products in. With everything they've been doing recently (coupled with rumor mill rumblings), it is highly likely that an overarching account system of some kind is on its way (not necessarily very soon but also not "not this gen").
oO What's your reasoning for that? I hope you unlinked your NNID and Club Nintendo acc.

As i just hit the home-button on my gamepad i noticed the still unused tvii icon in the menu. Do you think they will have some info about the tvii situation in EU or will it be US news only on E3?

I don't think it is. You have to actually unlink your CN account in your NNID profile.

It would be even cheaper to just leave it on the shelf and then 'touch' it again later.
I really don't get the whole selling a console when you know you're gonna want to buy it again down the line - except if one is in a situation where they're desperate to raise cash. Maybe it's just a too much disposable income thing that I've never experienced.
After the direct they will probably unveil a huge demo station, so they will be forgiven.
And seriosly, a crappy direct is not an option this year.

Well, I expect to lose about 40-50 euros total. And I will get a white version in return, with hopefully a controller with a better battery life. So not too bad I think.
