Only a few days left. Best part is that I don't have to be in the office until Monday. It will probably be the four longest days ever, but it's all good. I'm still hoping that there won't be any big leaks, I really like to be surprised at these things. We know for sure that SSM's game will be there now, but we don't really know what it is, right? So we're still fine!

Man all this insider hooplah is playing tower of terror with my E3 hype, its only made worse by the fact that there have been no legitmate leaks from Sony, or Microsoft.
If everything is to be believed though Microsoft has taken a one way ride on the crazy train to hell buying gameplay demos for E3, cock blocking journos, spying on your fapping habits.
Sony is the Lord god king come to save us all who will be left with Final fantasy, Destiny, Indies, and First part stuff to blow us away because all the third parties are taking moneyhats from microsoft, still hoping for free basic psm access, and minimal/no DRM.
Nintendo is just kind of there like a Ninja in the shadows waiting to strike while the big boys tire each other out. Because no one is expecting anything from them at this point.
And the Oyus guys are in the parking lot talking to the average joe on the street trying to hawk a stationary console that plays the same games as my phone does.
E3 truely is going to be fun to watch this year.

Wasn't there a thread floating around not too long ago that estimated that PS4 to cost ~225 to make? Or was that debunked because I honestly have a hard time believing that figure.

Guess there's a silver lining to Google TV stalling out for the time being. Although the idea that Sony wouldn somehow go with a double OS for the PS4 always seemed a little far-fetched.

it doesn't matter abut the resolution. it's all about maximizing the creativity with the tools provided as seen from the current generation.
I've been expecting $399 as the most reasonable price for some months now. But I actually wouldn't be surprised to see Sony price it at $349, especially if they have a strong launch line up.
Isn't the BoM of the PS4 rumoured to be around $200? Sony will be making money this gen, even if they sell it at a loss to begin with. The PS4 sure as heck doesn't cost $800 BoM like the PS3 did.

can't see them doing that though. $399 is the pricepoint i would consider them doing. $349 would be amazing but probably not realistic. i still think they WILL Bundle the ps4 eye. doesn't matter if no one wants it and it stops the vita from getting something to play
Of course, they'll probably sell at a loss.
It's kinda amazing how many people on GAF shoot down $349 as being impossible. I really think it's possible, but I'm not expecting it.

Of course they want to make money, but the console will no doubt be sold at a loss. How much of a loss that is remains to be seen.

I'm lucky in that I never cared about the Xbone so it doesn't really deflate me. I'm VERY hyped for this one as well as Nintendo, I hope for their rebound as well. Nintendo games are always good times. Heck I'm even hyped for Apple's stuff. I'm basically hyped for almost everything that week. Lots to look forward to.

That can't be right. I remember buying a 40gb fat PS3 in Q2 2007 with CoD4 and GTA4 for £400+ from Argos.
I full expect the PS4 to launch at £330 in the UK. £300 would be "holy shit balls Sony is going HAM".
