Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX E3 2013 trailer

Can't wait to finally play this.

Can't wait to play though FFX either (which I only played for a few hours since my ps2 crapped out on me).

Yeah, I do agree that I didn't feel much over Xion. I guess I'm just heartless... even though the other games are pretty sad. Man, DS got screwed over with Kingdom Hearts. At least 3D was good, even if the story is divisive.

EDIT: And I just noticed I used heartless in a sentence when discussing Kingdom Hearts.

Yeah, but that was also not a bad focus for the story to have. It was all about Roxas actually starting to care about people,
and then suddenly have it progressively taken from him until finally he feels so alone he finally goes and leaves.
It's maybe not the most important plot-wise, but it's a good to understand Axel and Roxas better, it makes the beginning of KH2 all the more saddening.

Conversely, most of what happens in CoM could be seen as irrelevant to the story. The only world that actually serves a purpose, other than being a gateway to the next white room, is Twilight Town. Only about 3 of the organization members actually serve a purpose to the plot, while the others are just walls for either Sora or Riku to break through. And Riku was kind of the final boss of Days, so I'd say he had a pretty important role in both games.

And to be clear, I am not saying Days is more important than CoM. Obviously any story where Sora is the main protagonist will always be more important. However, there was a lot of stuff that occurred in Days that allowed us to watch Roxas develop into a well rounded character. This was especially meaningful to those of us who found the Kingdom Hearts 2 prologue to be well paced and emotionally satisfying. If you think about it, Days and KH2 prologue are completely different from the rest of the series.

Riku replica's story was sad, too, but being able to connect with Xion for a full game made me a bit sadder when she perished. Especially when you find out she did it to save someone she never met.

Let's hope so. Cause it will be really annoying if all this set up is just to give Kairi a lessor role in favor of Nomura's current obsession, Axel.
 
Seeing the KH1 hooded man boss in english is almost vindication for years of watching japanese videos of that fight.

I'VE BEEN WAITING 11 YEARS FOR THIS.
 
KH1 is one of the best games I have ever played and a major reason I got a ps2. Can't wait to play it again. It's good and bad that so many good games are still coming for the ps3. On one hand I don't need new hardware but I want a reason to let go of this gen!

We could argue all day about how Days or CoM is or is not relevant to the story, but I don't want to derail this thread any more than I already have, so I think we can agree to disagree xD

Just finished 3D, but I still never played KH1, weird. Not like I really need to at this point though. KH3 really needs to get here.

holy hell i was a freshman in high school when KH2 came out. i'm a college graduate now. damn i feel old. ;_;

please let there be a KH3 soon.
 
It's a real crime that we went a whole generation (an abnormally long one too) without Kingdom Hearts 3 or even any great Square titles for that matter

...Then I remembered how much I love the series, and pre-ordered..
 
I hate to say this, but I never played Kingdom of Hearts. My roomate loved it but mixing Squares with Disney never settled well with me. So I'm willing to give it a shot if the game hold up well by today's standards?
 
So...was I the only one who literally almost shed a tear when Xion was disappearing in Roxas's arms (barring the awful "but who will I eat ice cream with" line)? I know 358/2 had awful gameplay, but I thought the story was pretty darn good.

Seriously gives me chills. The original Kingdom Hearts is without a doubt my all-time favorite game. Playing it in HD, with trophies ... I can't wait!

I've also decided this will be the last game I buy for PS3. After I get my platinum trophies here, it will be all next-gen for me. Seeing as how its my favorite game, it should be an appropriate send-off for the PS3.

I haven't played it in a while but I don't see why it wouldn't have aged well. There are a few problems with the camera if I remember right but the gameplay is simple and fluid so I'm sure its aged fine.

You should definitely give it a try when this comes out. Its just a fun game with characters you loved from your childhood and underneath all that is a beautiful story. Its unfortunate they bogged the series down with unnecessary spin-offs with overly complicated stories but they're still really amazing.
 
Ah, so nostalgic. And was that the Unknown battle I saw in there? Looking forward to actually playing that.

But I think people are forgetting one of the best things of KH1. Billy Zane. Seriously, I wish they'd gotten him back for the future games, though Epcar did do very good as well.

It's coming, after the next FF installment, and versus, then Square will get right on that. So going by this past gen, shouldn't be too long down the road!

Love that them though... I want a real KH3 already. Square really foched up this gen not releasing one.
