When I was really young, I threw a carton out my dad's car window once and nearly caused an accident when it hit a lorries windscreen. Lesson learned. Small selfish things can have big negative impacts.
Yeah I agree. Though littering could be considered selfish (certainly has an affect on wildlife which is saddening), picking up a X1 isn't and people who think it is are deluding themselves. Quite frankly I can't correlate some entitled gamers needs with the environment.

Please, the two situations aren't even comparable, and it's fucking ridiculous that you would try to compare the two. The X1's rules for using it aren't governmental policy, if some people can't use it, then they can buy a different console or not play games. This isn't life/death.

I love gaming, don't get me wrong. However, the analogies and hyperbolic statements being made really make it hard for me to read these posts with a straight face anymore.

I posted a few pages back that I got a E3 Media Briefing ticket and was undecided about going. I've decided today that I'm gonna drive up and stay at a family member's house and go to the conference. I'm hyped!
Also, I'm disappointed that Microsoft didn't really change their policies after the countless "We're listening!" posts.
The biggest thing I'm worried about with the Xbox One is what happens to my games after 30 years. I can deal with online checks and no lending, but are my discs going to be coasters after a few more generations? I'm a BIG collector and hoped that they would at least mention that part today. (If not, I'm sure the next consoles with the new architectures will be BC)
Back to E3... today's TitanFall leak has got me hyped for the game. I was on the fence before with such little info out there, but it really does sound great. If EA/Microsoft advertise the hell out if it, it's going to be HUGE!

It is, but as I've said many times, I actually think the PS4 and XO are under powered for a next gen system. Especially compared to current hardware in the PC realm. I'm a big defender of console gaming, and I realise that the closed platform, architecture advantages go a long way, but I really wanted the bar to be raised higher. If the XO gets weaker, it really doesn't bode well for seeing the kind of differences we've traditionally seen between generations.

Guys, just stop. The newest tin-foil hattery is that there are MS plants at GAF who are allegedly goading PS4 fans into getting banned...I shit you not.
I haven't been this excited for e3 in a while. It's been a LONG time since we've had a good e3 (the last time may have been a year or two removed from the beginning of the last generation?) Can't wait to see what Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have to offer. I'm most excited for Microsoft, but only because their lineup is pretty much completely veiled at this point, and I'm interested in seeing what their new internal developers are able to churn out. This e3 may convince me to purchase a Wii U as well!

Agreed- we know so little about Microsoft but we know A) they have a shit ton of money and B) they are aggressive as hell at the beginning of console generations. That is usually a formula for blind-sided megatons.
