I'm quite fond of Margaery, so I'm fully expecting either Cersei or Joffery to murder her next season.

Or she murders them.
I think that in the midst of the Starks having revenge stripped from them, we forgot that the Tyrells are going to be giving the Lannisters plenty of trouble. So while the Starks may not get their happy ending, at least we have hope for the Tyrells to own the Lannisters. I bet they'd be really good at it too, making things look like accidents. "Joffrey wanted to show me how awesome he is at hunting. Then he fell off a bridge and died." OR, how great would it be if Cersei's son died the way she killed Robert?! Get him nice and drunk/distracted and let a boar get him. Perfect.
Theon - ever since he was taken as Eddard's ward, he never felt he truly had a home. He's been more than punished for his sins - enduring at least several months of brutal torture, including castration.
Jaime - believes he had been misunderstood ever since he slew Aerys. He believes the name Kingslayer is a huge injustice. Joined the King's Guard at the age of 15 so that he wouldn't have to part with Cersei, only to be torn apart from her anyway (until some many years later). This left him stuck for life in his duty as a member of the King's Guard, being forced to protect the Mad King and witness all his atrocities - including that which was done to Rickard and Brandon Stark. His pride was greatly wounded after having been a prisoner in Riverrun for over a year and having his hand sliced off, which has shattered his sense of self-worth and identity.
The irony.
I'm concerned for her though because Joffery is so unpredictable. All Cersei would have to do is find a way to plant it in his ear that he's being manipulated, and whoop. But I do agree with Blader in that she's playing the game. Olenna Tyrell is crafty too. Maybe it'll be the Tyrells that ruin the Lannisters.
Or soften them up for Arya. ;D
Yeah it will always be preferable to have the Starks get their revenge, but I'm equally happy seeing bad things happen to the Lannisters. Would it be more fitting for the Lannisters to all die, or for them to be alive but in really terrible circumstances? I feel like death would be too kind for (some of) them at this point...
After that massacre I don't see how any family could feel safe around the Lannisters
The blonde girl at the right is the actress portraying Myrcella Baratheon, aka Cersei's daughter.

I think it's about time HBO invests in some crazy anti-aging serum, because those hormones are getting out of control.

Theon - he killed 2 innocent kids.
Jamie - boo fucking hoo.
This is what's great about these characters. No one is forcing you to sympathize for them. If you hate them, you're perfectly justified.
I personally feel that in the case of Jaime and Theon, they have done unforgivable things, but they aren't fundamentally bad people - they just had paths that led them astray. That doesn't mean their actions are excused.
But I root for them because I see the humanity in them. If you root against them, I'm not going to argue with you.
I'm just pointing out the fact that many characters on this show have experienced loss, and that GRRM doesn't simply give characters the world.
And when characters like Theon and Jaime, who have done very bad things, experience something like losing a hand - or worse in Theon's case - I think in George RR Martin's world this makes them more, not less, likely to be real difference makers in the story.
what the hell is dudewhoplaysBran wearing
I'd add that there was plenty of physical torment as well. Joffrey had the Hound beat her.Take your pick.
Sansa - has been a prisoner and mentally tormented for 2+ years.
Isaac looks like he's from the 70s or something. His hair has always been hilariously outdated to me, and now I see these pants. Good kid, good kid.
The real reason they broke Bran's legs was so no one would see him walk around in those things.
Rewatching season 2, and man, fuck Theon. By the time he sacked Winterfell, he was "truly lost" just as Roderick said with his head on the block.
He deserves to be a eunuch for needing to be bludgeoned with the truth who his true family was for so long before accepting it. If he had sent that letter to Robb and hopped on the next rowboat off of Pyke he could find, maybe he would still have a dick.

She's actually playing the game though. I could definitely see her outliving some other major characters. Like Joffrey, if we're lucky. :lol

They are my endgame. They'll commission a second Iron Throne, made from the charred, smitten remains of their foes, for these BFF rulers. They will rule with a velvet fist with Olenna and Varys at their sides dispensing sage and sassy advice.
DON'T TAKE THIS FROM ME GRRM!
No, he would have been murdered at the Red Wedding, which happened independent of anything he did, as far as I know.
You never know. Robb did treat him like a brother and just may have heeded advice that Theon would have given him, and that advice may have been against him going against Robb's promise to Frey. That's not likely though because from what we've seen, his character is act first, think later so it may have never made much difference.
Still curious how Theon will react to Robb's death at the hands of Bolton and Frey especially if Bolton's men are his captors/torturers.

Loyalty to Robb, his brother, instead of his absentee father who disowned him could have changed the balance of Robb's next mobilization. By "bludgeoned with the truth" I mean that it took horrific torture at the hands of house Bolton for Theon to soul search and figure out who he truly loved as family his whole life.
Another thing that watching season 2 again has me questioning is peoples love of Stannis. Sure he may be "The Mannis" but his pussy-out move to assassinate his brother singlehandedly eliminated the most mutually respectful and stable outcome for the Seven Kingdoms at the time. Being a benevolent Renly on the iron throne in complete trust and partnership with Robb ruling the north. Stannis had to go fuck it all up with his voodoo. I don't think it necessarily extends to his leech trick "causing" the red wedding though.

But I don't want to go on that long about Stannis, except to say it's not about ambition. The guy does what is expected of him and thinks others should do the same. I suspect that's why he confessed his acts with Melisandre to his wife. Conscience and all that.
Hmm, I was searching for a more accurate descriptor than ambition. Single-mindedness? In an admirable sense.
I thought about "ruthless" but thats more what I would call Balon and his pillaging.

Stannis is a man of rules and duty. He struggles to see past that, though I suspect his character arc will force him to.
