I hope this isn't ALL the information that's gonna be announced...maybe some more games, I hope? Thank you for this information though!

I said Gatdamnnnnnnnn, crazy buttocks is a prophet, for this I am thankful crazy buttocks.

Ready for Microsoft meltdowns and the hope that Sony can deliver.

Well, I am strapped in for tomorrow, lesssssssggoooooooo.

I was hoping for good news at E3. The truth hurts. The practice of buying people out to accidentally forget to mention the games are multiplatform is horrible - I hope news of that spreads around fast.

X1's DRM strategy is an open love letter to publishers. Third parties can't ditch Sony yet, not a single next-gen console has been sold, but the pressure will be on Sony to outsell MS or closely match them in sales - providing Sony goes DRM free. If EA could sell all their games exclusively on a tightly controlled DRM enforced platform they would.

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy, which know doubt I will, I fee like buying another WiiU and 2 PS4's with a boat load of DRM free games. This feels like a battle for the very nature of our beloved industry.

Don't worry about sounding like a fanboy. Xbox One is the first console in the industries history where actively hating it doesn't make you a fanboy; it just makes you in possession of all the facts.

Computer, initiate translate software; library 104216truthfactpl.dll

In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have gotten the translation software with Professor Layton and C-3PO on the cover.

I actually didn't need to translation, for some reason i knew exactly what he was saying hahaha.

I would guess that Activision didn't want more DRM because Call of Duty and Skylanders (their main titles that aren't from Blizzard) can't be hurt as much by used games because Call of Duty can be played indefinitely and Skylanders's revenue is based around merchandise sales. They're probably a lot less affected by used games than Ubisoft and maybe EA so it makes sense why they would want to avoid something that could lower the overall userbase.

Dude is legit. Check his other threads, he told us about Dead Space 3 Co-op months before it was officially revealed.

Oh I didn't actually see that the gibberish in the OP can actually be translated into english. At first glance and looking at the thread title I thought he just posted abunch of nonsense.

Wait. So World of Tanks... a F2P game... is one of their big surprises...

...and it will be locked behind the Gold paywall? lol.

cboat is as legit as they come. He writes like that so that it's harder to find his leaks.

wow shocking
so 3rd parties were not the initiators of the DRM bomb?
but then they get thrown under the bus
must not feel so great

You guys laugh at this, but the fact of the matter is that CBOAT only does this when he's in the depths of a crack binge.

Yeah, but I'm sure those same parties then went to Sony and were like "This is Microsoft's offer - what's yours?" So I'm sure they're still able to pressure Sony.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people seem to WANT Sony to announce some bullshit DRM/online strategy just so it'll perfume some of the shit Microsoft has been trying to push.

Damn folks. I know Gears and Halo are great franchises, but fuck. There are going to be plenty of NON-Microsoft funded games next generation.

Oh, so that's why he speaks tongue.. Thanks to those that helped me understand why.

Mirrors Edge 2 better have a PC release..

With this new MS info I fully expect Kaz to walk out tomorrow and announce no DRM, free online, a $349 price tag and then proceed to drop his mic and walk off stage.

I'm going to the presser tomorrow and i'm going to take a print out of his post. It shall be my checklist.

100/100

Maybe now people can stop harping on about third parties pushing the industry towards DRM, and strong-arming Sony into inevitably doing it with the PS4.

This is Microsoft's decision.
Would this not imply that if DRM games come out on the PS4...

MS: Publishers, we're forcing you to go with this DRM!
Pubs: Uh, ok then...

Pubs: Sony, we're forcing you to use this DRM!
Sony: Uh, ok then...

I dunno man, I don't think Sony is the White Knight some people are building them up to be.

This is like the greatest OP I have ever read. I dont even care about information provided. The way its written, its timing, the principal players.... its soooo goddamn perfect. :D

Word. Its this magical gift that has helped make E3's eve 2013 the most memorable in years. The hype train just can't be contained anymore. Its insane. I'm going nuts imagining what Sony has hiding under their fortress of solitude.

Activision made it a selling point that CoD never required online passes so it's not hugely surprising they went that route

Well, they could unlock youtube, netflix, f2p games, etc, and keep the xbox live fee for online gaming and deals only, no?

The DR3 thing would be surprising (if CBOAT hadn't already told us), although as much as I love Dead Rising it's not a system seller to me. I still would very much like to see it running on next-gen hardware though.

I was really hoping they'd at least dial back the 24-hour checkin since that basically kills the console for me. I'm so sick of paying for Live though, they'd really need to blow me away with exclusives for me to even consider it again. And the chance of them showing Jet Force Gemini 2 is pretty low.

Rather surprised at how locked down Sony seems to be. Even resisting the power of CBOAT. That either means they got nothing or they've hired some really good ninjas.

All the dishonesty about the platforms third party games will be on annoys the hell out of me! It will probably work in Microsoft's favor with regards to the general public, but that money should be spent elsewhere.

Who, me? I was just sayin' that just because it was MS's initiative doesn't mean those 3rd parties cant pressure Sony.

So there is still some hope that Sony isn't also doing this stupid fucking DRM? Goddamn the press better earn their shit this week and hammer both MS and Sony HARD on these issues...but who am I kidding, they will be more concerned about what parties they are going to than asking questions.

The one thing I'm not clear about is whether cboat is saying that ME2, PoP and DR3 are simply being shown at the MS conference or that they're actually exclusive to XB1?

So...

What the hell happens if Sony doesn't even bother with any DRM, and lets pubs deal with it (I.E implement their own shit via online connectivity and shit?)

MY BRAIN HURTS

Given current events I hope cboat is posting from behind at least five proxies. With a custom gui so they can't backtrace his ip. Godspeed buttocks.

Not surprised about acti being iffy on the xbone drm. That's bound to hurt their cod dlc monies.

Or cboat's sources are in the Microsoft pipeline. They wouldn't know much about Sony.

How do you know it hasn't been going on years? Just because you're aware of it now doesn't mean it's something new.

I mean, just this February Blizzard conveniently forgot to announce a 360 version of Diablo.

Thanks for the info, Cboat.

Man, fuck Microsoft. Sucks that he/she couldn't get any PS4 inof but it wouldn't surprise me if they said nothing in regards to DRM. It continues to look like a PC gaming only future for me.
