Kinect is not listening to your personal conversations; it is just recognizes commands it was programmed for. Your conversations are not monitored or recorded and you'll be in control what if anything you decide to share or when Kinect is on.

I have read those and making kinect mandatory seems even more stupid now.
So you can put off all the kinect stuff but still can't disconnect it.
Mind is blown if they really gave one ounce of shit about privacy they would retract mandatory connected kinect requirement. But enough of kinect bullshit from my side.
Lets see what for games they have to show in 2.5 hours.
