Do you like what you've seen so far from Wii U's visuals?

After seeing gameplay videos from E3 (like that amazing Bayonetta 2 video)--absolutely.

I thought Mario Kart looked the best, which is a shocker.
 
I love the "clean" look they are giving their games. Going to age incredibly well. They have been aiming for this look for a while now and it seems they have finally nailed it.
 
Considering the hardware and all, I still think they look pretty good. I don't think they'll age as badly as games on the Wii did compared to PS3/360/PC titles.

Yes, I like it a lot.

And those are first-year games. Imagine the games toward the end of it's life cycle?
 
X, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, and Wonderful 101 look great. If not technically then just from a pure design standpoint.

Eveything with Mario in it sadly looks pretty bland and safe. Why is this?
 
yes, I like all of it. Mario Kart 8 in particular, its excellent graphics really, really surprised me

SSB has always been 60FPS, since Melee. There's not a chance the next one won't be.

The WiiU looks fine but I thought the Wii looked fine.
 
They look fine to me. PS3 territory, sure, but that doesn't bother me, I still think games on my PS3 are pretty. Honestly at this point I don't think it's a Wii situation at all, stuff doesn't look low-poly or bad by any means.
 
Generally I like what I've seen until now... a "good, not great" feeling. What I feel the most is that Nintendo is playing it safe with the visuals.
 
Yeah, most of the game Nintendo showed looked great. My favourites are MK8, X and Bayonetta. SM3DW looks nice too and DK's fur is so nice.

There were quite a few Wii games that were pretty, but were hold back by the low resolution.

720p/1080p is gonna make a huge difference.
 
I'm kind of used to high definition gaming so it's good to see Nintendo on board. I guess I can say I like what I've seen but that's only in comparison to the Wii. I like the 3D Mario for reasons other than visuals.
 
No surprises here. These look current gen. Some look very good for what they are, but nothing compared to next gen systems.
 
Everything looks really clean and pretty, especially love Mario Kart and 3D World but Smash at 1080p is too good.

For some reason they look next gen to me, but that could be because I'm mentally comparing them too the Wii, or because we didn't see many games with these art styles in the current gen.

1080p. Yum.
 
Good so far; I hope they can do even better on Wii U as they get more familiar with the hardware and can program more efficiently for it.
 
I like that they are still going for 60fps, and for some games like ssb and zelda, 1080p. good shit.

after thinking over everything, im really impressed with all their games. i still kinda wish retro made something else, but dkcr 2 should be about a 9.0+ from pretty much every review place, lol
 
I think it's all pretty good. I'm not totally blown away by anything (could be stream qualities, etc) but Nintendo's cartoony style usually looks pretty good. Not always the best style for showcasing graphics, but I think everything looks really nice and I expect it all to hold up throughout this generation due in part to the style of it. Everything looked really solid.

edit: Man, all of this MK8 stuff. Maybe I should re-watch it.
 
Yes, Mario Kart 8. Best looking game at E3. Bet you cant find a game that looks anywhere close. Every other title on next gen can easily be compared to some current gen stuff. I knew this would happen with Nintendo.
 
That Bayonetta 2 genuinely stunned me is about the only compliment I can give Wii U.

Graphically, wasn't heads and shoulders above the best we've seen this gen. BUT, it was sharp as fuck...and that solid 60fps literally took my breath away.
 
Yeah, looks really good. Some things look a bit rough in stills, but I've been really impressed by stuff in motion.

What's impressed me most is 3D world; I think that game looks stunning. Really love the art style, it's like the cover art for 3D land come to life.
 
Sure. I knew we weren't be going to be seeing hair raising stuff but Nintendo doesn't need that for their first party games.

I thought everything looked really good except Mario World which was just so so.

Edit: Just rewatched the "X" trailer. This. Game. Looks. EPIC!!!
 
Yes, Bayonetta, X and Mario Kart made my jaw drop actually. Wonderful 101 as well. Smash and 3D World didn't totally awe me but they look very clean. Pikmin 3 still shows its Wii roots though but it looks fine.
 
Wait, Wind Waker is 60FPS? I thought it was only the 3DS one that was.

Wind Waker @ 60FPS almost makes me want to rebuy Wind Waker. (Key word being "almost". I'd have to see pricing, because full price = lolno)
