I forgot about the panic Smash fans go through when their most wanted character isn't revealed in the first trailer. You guys should just cool your jets for a bit, there are going to be more plenty more characters after the first six newcomers.

So, I always kind of felt after Uprising Pit would "replace" Yoshi as kind of the new "Original Eight", you know, since Yoshi sort of faded from popularity, and this trailer seems to show that, but what if Yoshi hasn't been revealed with the other original 8 because of a change to him? There was that idea of adding Baby Mario and working him in somehow, or perhaps a new move set to a rather stale character.
If Pac-Man is confirmed that would make this legendary. Can you imagine? Mario vs Sonic vs Mega Man vs Pac-Man sounds like a match made in heaven. I know Sonic isn't confirmed but with Nintendo's relationship with Sega and the continuing Mario & Sega series it seems like a safe bet he would return. My one concern is that Snake won't be returning, four characters seems pushing it when Sakurai emphasized only special third-party candidates would make the game. That coupled with the more 'serious' direction MGSV is taking makes me doubt his return appearance. I hope I'm wrong, the character played off the wackiness of Nintendo perfectly and had a pretty unique moveset to boot.
I just want to say again how much I adore all three newcomers, my favorite being Wii Fit Trainer. This was already one of my all-time favorite Nintendo E3s after the Direct, right up there with 2006 and 2010, but then Wii Fit Trainer made it even better. So creative, so good!

Especially Pac-Man: As I said previously, he can tuck in his arms and legs to WAKKA-WAKKA horizontally and vertically, chasing opponents through the air. He can gobble and chew opponents, spitfire pellets and belch up ghosts, dribble like a basketball and launch himself around like a human cannonball. He can even impose a glowing neon maze on the screen for his Final Smash, chasing opponents as they run and climb through the passages.

They can just go with hooded Avatar (if that's what you meant by default, unless you're talking about the default unhooded models) like in the cutscenes of the game. If Avatar makes it in, I can also see them have an alternate between male and female one.
Snake was always a really awkward fit with the tone of the game. I'd honestly rather see a Belmont or Alucard than him.
I have no idea why Sakurai is apparently at the Pokemon roundtable. Sounds like he's just chilling in the background.

I wouldn't lie but I'm hoping that SSB4 would have Isaac, Laughing Dog, Takamaru and few obvious choices characters, but I really like the characters which got revealed so far.

If the rumor is true, then that's already 6 new characters. With a new FE, Pokemon, Pikmin, Kid Icarus, and DK coming out between Brawl and Smash 4, I don't know if that leaves enough room for those games to get some representatives. Not to mention X and W101.

With Mii included, it sounds like some characters could be missing. Villager and Mii can both Nintendo dumpsters, carrying out things that those old retro stages or Mr Game & Watch did
This is my dream battle. I called Megaman and Pac-man (yes this one is a rumor but still), people were bitching that he isn't creative enough to get moves. If the fucking Wii Fit Trainer got in, if there's no rep from Golden Sun or Custom Robo I'm raging hard Sakurai, then Pac-Man has a ridiculously long arsenal of moves.
I will riot in the streets if Game&Watch is gone, my anger would know no bounds.
How do you know how much room is available in the first place? Has Sakurai commented on how many characters will be in these games?
I've heard this mentioned elsewhere. Why are people thinking this exactly?

If they make Miis playable, I won't rage too hard. I mean, I'll be able to pit Reggie against Wii Fit Trainer. His body is ready.
Because of this post. With three days of E3 left, people think each day Nintendo will reveal one of the characters from this guy's list like they revealed Wii Fit Trainer because this guy got half of his guesses right so far.
Also, I don't understand. Why do people NOT WANT MIIs?
The most we know is that he has gone on record saying Brawl had the perfectly sized roster and he probably wouldn't exceed that number. Not those exact words but that's the way I've interpreted it.
So don't expect 50 characters. Expect something in the 35-40 range again.
But then you cant fight Hitler Mii and other retarded creations online

It's really cool how Sakurai and his team designed Mega Man. A character with no punches or kicks sounds interesting to play as.

An Animal Crossing character was the last character I really really wanted, and it's the first one revealed. Yesssss.
I was starting to lose hope because of the things Sakurai said about this in the Brawl Iwata Asks, but got damn it's happening.

I agree, Mr. GAW is my main, I'm indomitable with him. But I don't think he's in danger. There's love for him on Sakurai's staff, as this whiteboard drawing a staff member made early in development shows (posted on Sakurai's Twitter long ago):
What kind of attacks can a Mii do? Hit them with swapnotes?
But maybe, they might give the Mii a Wii Sports moveset. Hitting other characters with a bat for a homerun or golf club for a birdy haha.
I'm expecting early 2015.

I guess the CG videos for each character is part of Namco's contribution? Like the SF X Tekken cutscenes we got.
