The problems with the indie strategy on Vita is that (1)they are not the high quality indies games (2)they late ports (3) with high prices, if Sony can get the indie people talking about faster to Vita this strategy might actually work.
yeah XSEED is in tough situation here, they can bring it to the west easily by heavy censorship job but doing this they might upset the fans and since it's a niche game already then they the risk of doing this is way too high.
I only like FFVI (dat game) and FF IV.
isn't the separated games because of Sony(Vita game card limit)?
It's not like I torture my Vita right now, It's just you know to see this happen to a system with huge potential just because Sony don't want to even try, I wish I can get some hope like you guys but this E3 and Sony ignoring Vita completely was too much for my poor spirit and soul, it almost broke me.
I tend to fall into the category of "more good games = more good games", regardless of whether they're late ports or not. The pricing could be better, yes, but as long as we get a good mix of indies and bigger first and third party releases I think most of us will be happy.
There's a great lineup of games in the coming months IMO, I know you only consider a few of them viable releases but a lot of us are excited for most of them.
Yeah I think it's pretty much impossible to censor Senran Kagura considering how fanservice-y the entire game is. Finishers and such make clothes explode, I'm pretty sure they eventually end up full on topless (but censored) so at this point, IMO, if they were to bring it over they should leave it intact so the people who truly want that game will get it.
I've never played VI, I know how revered it is, shame on me. I've basically only played through 1-IV, and then VII onwards. Also there was no confirmation of why they're separate but that is the assumption - the card limit. It works out for me because I refuse to touch X-2.
If you enjoy the platform as much as you seem to do (I truly feel like you do, considering how much you scrutinize or praise things), I'd say stick it out man. Don't bail out on the Vita after X game release, who knows what might be coming. 3DS was never as downtrodden as Vita but look at how much that platform is flourishing now.
If the new game announcements stop or slow down to practically nothing outside of Japan like it did with the PSP, then we should worry. Since Sony Bend is part of SCEE I expect their new game to be shown off at Gamescom, I still have hope it'll be a Vita game, or at least a PS4/Vita game, but ideally a Vita exclusive considering how well Uncharted: GA did.
