Games with the worst intros/openings

Since the ''intro/opening'' seems to be pretty vague here...

I present to you the best worst intro:

Pretty much anything where you just have to walk and can't do anything but listen to the dialogue and can't skip through it since it's not a cutscene. Hated the start of Arkham Asylum for this.

Well, it's still technically part of the intro (plus the Bombing Mission, which was goddamn awesome btw).

If you compare it to FFVIII's and especially FFX-2's, they'll seem much better actually (at least VIII had photographs).
 
The just cause 2 demo.
I never played the full game because of it.

Also... the explanation at the beginning of Gears of War 1 for getting the light mass bomb and the resonator plus the creepy sexy looks from Anya with that horrible normal mapped lit face are atrocious. I find myself every once and a while yelling in my head "to detonate the lightmass bomb we need the resonator!"

Who wrote that dialogue?

It can be both (opening segment/cutscene once you start the game or the introduction before you start the game), whatever you think is bad actually.
 
I don't think anything can beat the shitty opening of Fallout 2, Your first objective was to complete the temple of trails, Inside it your going get that ants that are going to kick your ass, healing powder that makes you miss more, you're so blind you going miss kicking a ant in the face, At least the best part was if you had enough points in speech you could bypass the boss at the end.

At least in the KH2 intro you can beat shit up, nothing makes a intro worse then getting fighting 2 ants which take forever to do anything.

What? What's wrong with this? I already loved the Wind Waker one, having one that's similar with some excellent music is simply amazing to me.

And the one for Twilight Princess that is similar to the intro cutscene to Ocarina of Time isn't bad either.

I think he was referring to the hours of hand holding until the game really starts.

Fuck that fucking wall of text at the beginning. That is probably the slowest beginning of any game I have ever experienced.
 
for those who are saying Kingdom Hearts 2, am I right to assume that you guys are talking about the 3 hour Roxas part, and not the CG opening with Utada's music?
 
Twilight princess so boring ....game really felt like it started after the 3rd dungeon
okami and skyward sword for the hour amount of text to read through in the beginning
 
MvC3's entertaining intro got replaced with a boring one in Ultimate. And you can't even unlock and watch the original in the gallery. sadface.
