Last of my F:NV spam. It's all quite WIP as of yet. Before I focus on getting NV to look good (arguably harder than FO3!) I want to finish up on my latest FO3 ENB work.

I can't go above 1620+2xSSAA without blurry hair syndrome on my GTX 780...

I'm using a GTX 570.

I didn't do anything freaky with Nvidia Inspector because I don't know the AA bits yet.

I posted this over on one of my Tumblrs, but I liked it enough to put here.

Here's a bit of what I said on the post

So I was experimenting with playing games at 24fps+Motion blur to see if it really does feel acceptable for playing games since it’s the reason people say 24fps movies and TV shows feel normal - the motion blur.

It also helps that with having such low FPS demands, I can juice games to ridiculous degrees.

When I saw the shot I took was really impressed with the way the lighting looks on her skin, as well as the sense of realism you get from the skin due to the texture work. It’s nothing too exciting, but I really like the way Lara looks in this particular shot. It also helps that TressFx makes her hair look really, really good when compared to most video game hair. I like this.

It's rendered 4k but with a cinematic aspect ratio, so 3840x1620. I'm currently running 320.00 drivers, but there seems to be newer ones that I'll be checking out soon! What have you got the AA set to? Also, on the other options screen, I have motion blur on, screen effects off, and V-sync on though those last two shouldn't really matter - just wanna be thorough.

Hi, and no I'm not using Nevada Skies. It's all ENB with some SweetFX layered over it. I'm using some sky textures that I pilfered from Skyrim cloud mods, but the change in lighting from the atrocious look that New Vegas sports unmodded, that's all custom shader work.

Thanks! It's a great game for action shots. I found you could clip right through the ceiling of that tower to get a high vantage point.

Actually, while I was flying around some of those maps I noticed that there are these statues of cows just sitting there in the middle of nowhere. I wonder why?

I think it all depends very much on how you've configured the game and what texture mods and shader quality parameters you're using. My performance in Fallout 3 vanilla is much much higher than in Skyrim vanilla. Then I proceed to mod the hell out of the game until I get to FPS values that are adequate for play and good for looks.

I think you've got your DoF settings set to do some really trippy things in that picture. I'm guessing you wanted it to look like that, but personally, I think it's way too weirdly blurry

Yup. Linked the wrong picture. Remedied that but you were fast. I was using the binoculars there and for some reason I've never seemed to get the DoF to look good in Souls.

Hey-o, Imgur is disallowed in this thread, and JPEGs are only allowed when used correctly.

Imgur compresses images and makes them lower quality, which goes against the purpose of the thread.

You can just upload the PNG's to a site like Flickr, Sta.sh, Abload.de, or Minus because they won't convert or compress your images.

If you do want to use JPEG's, you've gotta make sure they're saved at maximum quality!

I'm thinking that maybe it's the Y-res that's the issue... He's still playing at a Vertical Resolution of 1620 pixels, which I can do as well... Can anyone see if it works at 4K or even 1800p with TressFX on?

I've just upgraded to the same driver version as you, I'll try to take a similar shot at the same settings as I had before.

Update: Oh jesus christ now I see what you mean. The driver version is almost certainly the issue.

The only thing that's changed is I updated to 320.18 and this is what the hair looks like now.

So I guess 320.00 is the version to use if you want pretty hair.

Dunno, I tried 314 a week ago and not compatible, gonna dl the 320.00 beta drivers and see if it works. Thanks for going in and testing, btw. That issue's been bothering me to no end...

If 320.00 doesn't work for you, I'm actually about to test 320.14 to see if that's when the bug was implemented. It's downloading now.

Hopefully installing an older driver doesn't make it wipe all my custom resolutions again!

Usually, for me, Reinstalling different Driver versions just sets my resolutions to disabled, and I only have to re-enable custom ones again. I think I tried 320.11 before and they still had the issue IIRC.

So... I have a request... Weird I know. Has anyone or can anyone post screenshots from the Lost Island DLC from Crysis 3? I'd like to see how the graphics compare to the original Crysis and Warhead. Yes, it can be hard to get good action shots with all the motion and character clipping going on. Don't know how long I've tried to get a decent decapitation shot like the one below before giving up.

I found that binding pause to the thumbmousebutton allowed me to position the camera then pause/unpause a scene until I found the action I was looking for. This only works if you are the server though and can't be used online. Would be nice to have the ability to pause the action, then move the camera around to line up that perfect shot. This is one thing that Skyrim has that makes it so photogenic...and the mods..always the mods.

I've been waiting all year for ep 2 to go on sale REALLY want to play through the whole game again with this mod...(HL2-Ep1-Ep2) I will run it at 720p I have a 5870 8gb ram will I be able to even play it nicely...
