Looks like a training match.
That's exactly what it looks like. Spain just doesn't care.

You spoke too soon!
That's why teams park the bus against Spain.
But full credit to Tahiti for actually trying to push forward.
I am done....hopefully the next game is good, this tourney SUCKS so far..
Italy-Japan?
I don't know what you expected from Tahiti
One game can't make up for the shit we seen so far.. Now i am hoping for Spain vs Brazil final.
As a Spaniard, te agradezco, pero no.Fuck off spain
Nigel De Jong, is that you?if this exceed 10, Tahiti should start breaking legs
Lolres
You spoke too soon, too!
Nigel De Jong, is that you?
You made me laugh, good sir.Thats some nice players Spain has there. be a shame if anything were to happen to them.
What would you have the Spanish players do, then? This is just absurd. They clearly outmatch Tahiti, and only make themselves look worse with every goal they pile on.

What else can they do? Hold the ball up for the entire second half? I'd argue that's even more humiliating. Tahiti came to play and Spain are respecting that by playing.
They have 24 players, why not rest the stars?

These are pro's playing to win a tournament they are not playing a friendly or for charity. If you don't want to get scored on then stop them.
I realize that, but at a certain point, it's just unnecessary to continue attacking so much. They do a disservice to the images of both teams. What else can they do? Hold the ball up for the entire second half? I'd argue that's even more humiliating. Tahiti came to play and Spain are respecting that by playing.
Except their opponent werent pros. Only one player from the entire Tahiti team is a professional. The rest play soccer after work.

Good point. I guess this is just one of those hard losses they're gonna have to take on the way to competing on the world stage. For Spain to not take the game seriously is a disservice to those Tahitian players for whom this game was the pinnacle of their footballing lives. They earned the right to play against probably the best team in the world in the Maracana and to be taken seriously. Iniesta reiterated this before the game and I'm sure you would not find a Tahitian player who would want it any other way.
