Honestly, the opening to Star Fox Adventures where you play as Krystal, flying in on a pterodactyl to attack a pirate ship in the middle of a thunderstorm is the most memorable part of that game.

Not that that's a high watermark, mind you, nor do I really care either way on her inclusion, but she has as much a case as any other Star Fox character.

Come on guys, Krystal would be a good addition and you know it. Star Fox needs some variety in Smash. The "not memorable" or "furry" or whatever arguments don't hold up when it comes to simply crafting a good roster. She may not be memorable to you, who cares? Neither was Wii Fit Trainer. So what furries like her? Star Fox is about anthro animals; it's going to happen.

I'm bummed that it is implied "furry-ism" existed only during Krystal's appearance. Forgetting that everyone and their mother made gay undertones in Star Fox 64.

Yeah man. I see her always walking around with this gun:

except maybe bigger, more exaggerated and strapped around her shoulder, hanging at waist-height. She's actually be a heavy character, with a slow-ish walking speed. Her Neutral B would be firing the machine gun, obviously, but she'd have a few quick A melee moves and borrow a lot from Snake's moveset. Namely mines and his up-smash and stuff. Possibly the guided-rockets too. She'd be pretty easy to implement overall. Actually her moving pace would be similar to Snake's I imagine. They'd be kind of similar, except Sami would be more foxy
 
A fun reveal trailer for Palutena would be Pit and three others battling, Pit gets the Final Smash and uses it only to discover that when he calls for Palutena she doesn't appear. Then she appears behind him and knocks him out while saying some funny one liner.

Regarding Krystal, I wouldn't really mind her being in, though I don't care for her personally. Falco and Wolf are more important, and to me three Star Fox reps are enough.
 
Or maybe, have the characters fighting, and it zooms out to reveal that the match is being watched by her through that... mirror thing (pool of water?). She makes some quip about Pit being useless or something, and she flies down in battle gear, ready to go.

I don't know what's funny about it, really. It matters at a tournament level but to the average casual smash player Falco and Wolf are just shit clones of Fox, whose move set was already basically made up all-original for Smash because he didn't have anything from the games outside the Arwing. At least Krystal has an in-universe move set that could be leveraged and would differentiate her not only from the other Starfox characters but also from most of the rest of the cast.

Yes. Believe me I was in your position a few months ago. I had no idea how people could be gunning for a seemingly omnipotent Goddess, but now that I've logged 140 hours, I just can't see how she CAN'T be in.

I'm still hoping for Hades, at least as some kind of Uber Boss in the new SSE/Story Mode

Dude, what

Falco is a beloved character SF character, fox's #2 and overall just a badass, while wolf is fox's greatest rival. It has nothing to do with tournaments. I'd much rather see a revamped moveset for either character than the inclusion of krystal.

Wolf doesn't need to be revamped. He's not a clone. Why do people keep saying that? Because of his Final Smash?
 
I'd rather they not just try to beef up the roster with female characters solely for the intention of balancing gender representation. Smash Bros. is a game of icons, so reaching for dead characters like Lip just feels like affirmative action; no thanks. Wii Fit trainer was an awesome choice and a good example, I didn't feel like she was shoe-horned in to get more female characters, she is the poster child of an innovative part of Nintendo history, like G&W or ROB.
 
Krystal dressed as Waluigi would be the perfect way to please everybody.

Probably, just because she has more to work with. However I don't think Nintendo necessarily wants to represent Star Fox Adventures. It wasn't a great game and was kind of a Zelda knockoff. Not to mention Rare's creation. That being said, I would not be surprised about her inclusion in the game, especially if they are wanting to add more female characters. Nintendo and Namco also worked on a Star Fox game together which had Krystal on the Star Fox team. I would rather they added a villain though. Or just to troll everyone added James McCloud from F-Zero.

I don't think she is a better pick than Falco though, who is more or less of a favorite by now. Sakurai even said he is very careful about who is he removing from the game. Plus Falco represents Star Fox better than Krystal does.

Unfortunately your eyes are invalid, considering that lack of popularity is a great reason not to include a character in a game which is basically fanservice. There are some characters that are not very popular or forgotten, like Mr. Game and Watch and R.O.B. but they an important party of Nintendo history.
 
Sakurai sure is having fun with showing off the stages. Mario and Mega Man are quietly discussing how they're going to break the news to to Toon Link that he isn't playable this time, while Link already overhears them, turning dead inside as he processes it.

Even as a casual player I can pretty much tell you Wolf plays and looks differently from Fox. I mean, until Fox behaves like a fox while fighting, I'll laugh at the insistence of people saying Wolf is a clone.

And what "in-universe" move? You mean the staff that she never uses and the fact that she never even gets action done?
