Can't switch weapon during combat, but you can equip the cure skill.
Lagacy characters only, sorry.
goobbue is legacy only. if you had a legacy account you could have all classes to 50 with jobs unlocked.
Yeah this would make the lvl 1-10 experience a lot smoother.

As a lv 50 GLA, that quest was nice as it helped me remember how to play the class.
I thought that was pretty awesome. The MRD quest didn't quite do that, but, I mean, it's a DD class. It showed me my abilities, so I guess that's good.
just go into the server list and pick your old server
a mess. So im screwed. Idk why i even picked Conjurer now ;___; ive been leveling it so i can be white mage.
BTW if i find a copy of FFXIV somewhere would that be eligible for any free stuff?

Is there a minimum level before you can join a LS/Free Company?
Also, is player search completely broken? (Sorry if this is a know issue, I JUST got in).

So I went back to my conjurer class since I learned of the lock-on button, and it's a very boring class in the beginning. I forgot that the only attack they have is stone and every other move is a support move. I seriously don't know how I leveled that class up during the beta last week.
My gladiator is lvl 14 so I might stick with him, if that doesn't work out I might go Lancer since it's the only class I haven't tried out yet. Gladiator is cool and all but after seeing that his class upgrade is a paladin that can cure others, really made me not want to continue with him. I tried the rest and Archer was pretty fun with being able to move around and attack. Haven't tried Puglist or Marauder yet but I'll try them later after Lancer.

Beta is back on? Hopefully I'll actually get to play it this weekend before they pull the plug :C
If you're using the Game Pad you can also press "Start" and select the emotes icon from the menu list at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If you're using the Keyboard, you can just click on it. ^^

The reason for this is because they locked a lot of stuff until you finish your level 10 class quest. So in this implementation, it makes no sense for you to start in a different city than where your class guild is since you need access in order to progress.

Class question! I'm torn between lancer or arcanist, and I can't decide which to start as. I'd like to be useful in party content, and lancers sound like they're the most popular class, so I should look elsewhere. However, since arcanist will be the "new" class, people might flock to it as well, but perhaps not in the final release.
I played TOR early on as a DPS Jedi Shadow and had a ton of fun because the majority went as tanks and thus I was always in demand. What niche do you think'll need filling this time?

yea the old theme was done by the old ffxi musician, naoshi mizuta or whatever. it sounds similar to ffxi songs as well.
i can't tell if this is sarcasm or what. just in case, you log in to the main menu and you click server list at the top. there's "lagacy" servers listed at the bottom below the new ones. when you click it, it'll load your old characters.
So whats the difference between this one and the one from last weekend?

Linkshell is just a chat channel. Free Company is a guild. It has ranks, permissions, a higher member limit, etc. FCs will also have guild housing, guild bank, and more at launch. I believe they are planning housing furniture and things that will add guild buffs too.
Does anyone know how to more easily target players during things like FATEs? I started leveling my conjurer, and when I try to cycle through targets to try and hit specific players to heal, it only targets monsters/npcs. I play with a controller/keyboard and I've been having to use my mouse to target people, but I was wondering if there was an easier way.

Got into GAF's Free Company (thanks again Bubble Gum for the invite!) and was cool to see Eorza after the launch of 1.0, which is pretty much when I'd stopped playing...
Tomorrow is one of 2-3 Saturdays I have to work a year, lousy timing but hope to see everyone on tomorrow evening (Japan time anyway).
